Made in Penang - Penang Interactive Museum

 @ Penang Interactive Museum

After our Bali trip, the school holiday officially starts. Emeryn is attending full day at the daycare center. It was a hectic week for mummy to catch up with her work. Emeryn attended BM tuition on Mon evening as usual. We had a more relax evening at home, doing Princess magazine together.

We started our Sat as early as 8am where mummy sent her car for the first service at the Nissan service center. We waited there for an hour and left around 10am. We brought breakfast home before going out for Emeryn's GB Maths class. We had lunch after the class before heading home. Later we headed to the Penang Interactive Museum, which was newly opened less than a month ago. It has a very interesting concept and pictured 3d art on all the paintings. We snapped photo on each and every mural. Emeryn had so much fun posing and making funny gestures. After the visit to the museum, Emeryn requested to have mushroom soup for an early dinner. So mummy drove to Kaffa Espresso for a meal and a drink. It was our first time there, despite many good reviews on this place. Emeryn ordered spaghetti aglio olio with salmon and cappuccino mushroom soup while mummy chose to enjoy a hot cup of latte. After the meal mummy dropped Emeryn at Por Por's place where she stayed over nite there as mummy needed to work on Sun morning for a career fair. Mummy waited till 12am for AirAsia free seat priority redemption promo and she was so lucky to grab a ticket for both of us to Korea. Yay, it was like a dream come true where mummy wanted to bring Emeryn for a real winter holiday. It will be our 1st time seeing snow (if we're lucky) as we are heading there on dec 2014.

Mummy worked on Sun from 10am to 3pm at Pisa for the yearly career fair. She headed home after her work for a quick shower before going over to Por Por's house for dinner. As soon as mummy stepped into Por Por's house, Emeryn rushed to mummy and gave her tight hug. Awwww, she misses mummy so much.

Eat Pray Love - Day 5

@ Kuta beach

 @ Uluwatu

Day 5 was our last day at Bali and we started our day a bit later compare to the days before. In the morning we walked out for breakfast at the stall beside our hotel. After checking out from the hotel, we went to Kuta beach for a quick stroll.

Next we drove to Sukawati market which was highly recommended by Toki Ee Ee. We spent near to 3 hours there including having our lunch at the roadside stall. The market offers plenty of souvenir, painting, wood craving, clothing and etc. The prices there are unbelievably cheap. Mummy bought 3 decorative candle-light holders, 2 long dresses for Emeryn and 1 for herself. The dress cost about RM5-RM7 each. It started to rain again before we leave.

Our last stop in our itinerary was at the Uluwatu temple. Uluwatu easily sweep your feets away with its nature beauty, standing along the cliff. The temple inhabited by large number of big fat monkeys who are well trained in snatching visitors' belonging. Nevertheless Uluwatu is one of the must visit place whilst holidaying in Bali.

Since we still have ample of time before going to the airport, we dropped by at Krisna for some last minute shopping and were forced to buy packed nasi goreng when we run out of time. We headed to the airport, checked in and then sat down to fill our tumbling tummies before walking into the immigration counter. Our Bali holiday ended happily.

Eat Pray Love - Day 4

Banjar Village - hot spring pool
babi guling

Bedugul - twin lake &Ulun Danu Temple

Jimbaran

Day 4 was one of the highlight of the whole trip. It was the dolphin watching at Lovina. Because of the trip we sacrificed our precious sleep and woke up at 3am. All of us were like a walking zombie and totally exhausted. We started our journey at 3.45am and reached the destination at 6am after fighting through the heavy rain on the way. Initial plan was reaching Lovina before sunrise and got to the boat in the middle of the sea to wait for the sunrise. Due to downpour, many other tour agent cancelled their visit to Lovina. Looking at the empty waiting area, we were a bit skeptical whether to proceed to chartered the boat and continue with the original plan. Despite it was still drizzling, we proceeded to the sea, fully armed with our raincoat and with only one hopeful wish... to get the glimpse of the dolphins.

From the way the boat looks like, it looked a bit unstable and scary, wondering will it be too dangerous. Despite all the hurdles, we managed to get into the middle of the deep sea after 90mins boat ride. The boat ride was undeniably enjoying for the first 15 minutes, but it's getting us sick after the long ride. Our body were stiff and we were not allowed to move while on the boat. It was no longer enjoying until the moment we spotted the first dolphin. Once in the deep sea, adrenalin pumps as we wait for the dolphins to surface again and again. We were so lucky to have get a glimpse of the dolphins a few times despite the raining day. Dolphin watching was super fun and it was the best ever stop. We screamed in ecstatic seeing the dolphins surface on the water. After the exciting moment, we returned back to the shore and it was 10am when we reached. Sacrificing our sleep and time for the cute creatures are totally worth because the scenery is just too beautiful and breathtaking, also given the chance to see the dolphins at such close encounter.

We were so tired and sleepy but continued our tour to Banjar Village for its hot spring. The springs were fantastic with 3 hot pools to choose from. We stayed for about an hour before heading for lunch. As for lunch we had the famous babi guling. Well, the taste doesn't suit much for our appetite.

Our next stop after lunch was Bedugul, the twin lake & Ulun Danu Temple. Bedugul is one of the places of Bali that offers the natural beauty of mountains and lakes. High places like this make this area are always shrouded in mist and cold air. We had a quick walk there as we were all feeling restless and tired, hoping to grab some rest. The view indeed was very gorgeous and calm and it offers good photography background. We tried stealing some sleep while heading back to the hotel. At the hotel, we took a quick bath before heading out for dinner.

Our dinner was at Jimbaran, a famous location where the movie Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts was filmed. Mummy brought the online voucher earlier prior to the trip and made reservation for our seafood dinner. Before dinner, we spent some time on the beach and enjoy the sea breeze and some photo taking. Having romantic dinner at Jimbaran is a must do for all the tourist and specially accompanied by the sunset moment. We left at about 8.30pm. Upon reaching our room, we took our shower and called it a nite before 10pm. We were tired beyond words.

Eat Pray Love - Day 3

Tanjung Benoa - Turtle Island

@ Tanah Lot

We started our Day 3 as early as 7am. After getting ready we headed to Mc Donalds for breakfast before checking out from the hotel. We are moving to Tune Hotel, Legian for the next 2 nights. For a start, it was a sunny day and we went to Tanjung Benoa where the Turtle Island is located. After a long bargaining, mummy finally come to a term of paying IDR 400,000 for a chartered boat. It took us about 30mins to reach to the island. In the middle of the sea, the boatman stop to allow us to feed the turtles. We can see the turtles and the ground corals from the glass bottom boat.

Upon arriving at the island, we were greeted by the island "guardian" who then handed a turtle for us for photo shooting. We then walked further to another area where they housed more than 15 huge turtles. Emeryn tried "bathing" the turtle by splashing water on its shelf. The island also housed fruits bat, eagle, snake and "Ubah" bird, where the tourist can have close-up photo session with the animals. Emeryn absolutely loves the petting zoo trip despite dare not getting close to the animals. She was also scared of the speedy boat ride and hold on to mummy tightly. Upon going back to the seaside, we cleaned ourselves before making our move to the next destination.

We stopped Angus half way when we spotted a Chinese eatery place by the roadside, which requested by Ah Kong. After having our lunch, we proceeded to Taman Ayun Temple. We struggled with the heavy rain on our way there and unfortunately the down pour continues when we reached the entrance. To make matter worst, the water has rise up over the ankle making the whole road jammed. We have no choice but to forgo our visit there.

Our next stop was at Tanah Lot. Indeed it is a very calm and peaceful place to visit and it offers spectacular view of the temple in the middle of the sea. The temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide. Before and after visiting the temple, we shopped at the busy street buying souvenir and more painting. We were all totally in love with the serenity of Tanah Lot.

We ended our Day 3 after visiting Tanah Lot and headed back to the hotel. We had our dinner at the stall next to the hotel before taking a long walk to the local supermarket, Bintang. That nite we slept early in preparation of an early rise the next day.
