Dental & Bank Visit

 her short notes

 @ the bank

 Teacher's Day Flowers

the durian lover

We had durian again on Wed. Yummy!!! Mummy took leave on last Fri just to bring Emeryn to the dentist and bank. Earlier when mummy went to the dentist for her scaling & polishing, the dentist suggested an appliance for Emeryn to wear to stop her from pushing her front teeth with her tongue. It's her hard core habit using her tongue to push her teeth, especially when she is holding her toy doggie. Day after day, her teeth look ugly and uglier. The appliance that the dentist suggested cost min RM500. Mummy brought her to the Klinik Pergigian Bukit Jambul for a second opinion. The dentist there is mummy's cousin, Dr Chong. We had the registration done near to 9am and mummy headed to the next building for her yearly pap smear examination. We went back to the dental clinic after mummy was done and waited for awhile before we decided to drive out. Emeryn was asking mummy to bring her to a stationary shop as she wanted to buy pens for her teachers in conjunction of Teacher's Day. We ended up driving to Lip Sin Florist to check out the price and went back to the dental clinic.

We waited for a short while before Emeryn's name was called. After checking, the dentist confirmed that Emeryn do not need the appliance as her teeth would be slowly aligned once all the permanent teeth erupt. She still has 9 milk tooth to loose. Dr Chong then did a quick scaling for Emeryn while mummy stood beside assuring her everything would be fine. After the dental visit, we headed to Public Bank where Emeryn deposited her CNY red packet and her saving from her daily school allowance. We then drove back to the florist and ordered half dozen of flowers. Emeryn selected 3 roses and 3 carnations. While waiting for the florist to wrap the flowers, Emeryn wrote the card for her teachers. We had our lunch at Super Tanker before going to Digi Centre as mummy wanted to sort out some of her bill payment before dropping Emeryn at the school. While Emeryn was at school, mummy went shopping at 1st Avenue and Prangin Mall. Mummy boought Sushi King for dinner. After having our dinner at home, we went for a late evening swim. Mummy wanted Emeryn to get comfortable being in the water as she has signed her up for a swimming lesson on the coming school holiday.

We went for an evening swim again on Sat. We stayed at home the whole day as mummy cooked porridge for lunch and dinner. Emeryn attended Art Class on Sun. After the class, we headed to Karpal Singh Drive where Emeryn cycled and blow the bubbles. We quench our thirst at Mc Cafe before going to Por Por's house for our usual visit and had dinner before going home.

Happy Mother's Day

lunch

Mother's Day gift

Mother's Day lunch

The long weekend continued with the Wesak Day replacement on Mon. Mummy drove to the market early in the morning to prepare for our lunch. After having our breakfast at home, mummy slowly starts her cooking adventure. We had ABC soup, stir fry vege and fried fish for our lunch. We then spend the afternoon at home and went for a swim in the afternoon.

Again there was another public holiday for Penang state on 7th May in view of the Permatang Pauh by-election. Mummy tried out a new recipe she found online. It was mummy’s first time cooking chicken rice. The fragrance of the rice is superbly tasty but the chicken was rather dry. Mummy prepared ABC soup again as we have left over of the same ingredients. Mummy wanted to cook more frequent as we are quite bored of eating out after so many years.

Since mummy has changed her working hour to 9am-6pm; every Fri Ah Ma has to fetch Emeryn from school as the school ends at 6pm. Emeryn would have her dinner and bath at Pekaka before mummy picks her up. Last Fri, mummy went for a drink at Starbucks @ Karpal Singh Drive and dinner before picking Emeryn up. Emeryn brought home a Mother’s Day gift from school and kept herself busy drawing a card for mummy that night. She warned mummy not to come over to peek at her study area.

On Sat, Emeryn gave mummy the gift. She can’t wait for the next day to show mummy the gift and mummy can’t wait to unwrap the gift. She bought 2 gifts for mummy. It was a decorative flower and small teddy bear.

We had Mother’s Day lunch on Sun along with Theng Ee Ee & hub, Por Por and Ah Kong. After the lunch Emeryn head straight to Art Class while mummy went to Tesco to run some errand and hop over to Egate to buy 5pcs of Secret Recipe cheese cake for the gathering. Mummy’s friends came over to our place for gathering cum visiting our new place. They bought some food over for potluck. Sheryn and Emeryn went for a swim before we start walloping the yummy food. We had pizza, sushi, cheese cake, laksa & pohpiah & Haagen Daz ice cream as dessert. Aunty Esther brought over her 10months old Baby Gabrilyn and Emeryn had a good time playing with the cutie. They stayed up to 9pm+ before making a move.

Loosing Her 9th Milk Tooth

 loosing her tooth

 the painful dinner

 the spring cleaning

 the durian feast

 brunch & muffin baking

 cycling

On Mon after school dismissed, Emeryn told mummy that she lost her 9th milk tooth without her realizing. She only knew it when her friend told her that her tooth is missing. Isn’t that the most absurd thing that can happen? She must have either swallow her tooth or drop it out accidentally. Earlier mummy thought that Emeryn was making a joke but it wasn’t a joke at all. That evening, mummy cooked porridge but unfortunately mummy cut her finger while clearing the stuck basin. It bleeds so much that mummy almost passed out. Mummy suffers the pain whole nite as the cut was quite bad.

It was a long long weekend in conjunction of Labour’s Day and Wesak Day. We didn’t plan any ad-hoc break to anywhere but rather choose to stay at home to avoid the massive jam. Mummy cooked western breakfast in the morning and we only went out for dinner with mummy’s friend. Mummy stopped by at Komtar as she bought a pair of sport shoe before we head to Batu Feringhi. We had our dinner at the hawker stall but the price hike was really bad. Mummy hasn’t been to Batu Feringhi for more than a year. After our dinner, we walked at the nite market as Emeryn wanted to buy some cd. She also ended up with some card games and a hand-held fan.  Before going home, we had a quick coffee at Coffee Journey.

Theng Ee Ee broke a happy news to us, she is finally pregnant after trying for almost a year. Mummy was overjoy with the news and quickly brought out her precious box. A box which contains Emeryn’s old clothing as a new born. Mummy kept it really well and start to spring clean all those clothing. On Sat, mummy washed half of the clothing, iron and hang it nicely before passing it over to Theng Ee Ee. Later in the evening, we drove to the nite market behind our house. We were very happy to spot our favourite fruit, the durian. Though it was really pricey, mummy bought one to satisfy our drooling moment. We had durian and Malay chicken rice for dinner.

The next day, Sun, we went to Sunshine Square for our brunch before our grocery shopping over there. Mummy wanted to bake some muffin and she started searching online for recipe. After buying all the ingredients, we went home and start preparing for the baking session. It was mummy’s first time baking and her first time really utilizing our brand new oven. Well, the texture came out really presentable but it didn’t rise as it should. Nevertheless, Emeryn gave mummy two thumbs up for the yummy little effort. The muffin was empty in the middle and the dough was not baked enough. Perhaps this failure was contribute by the overly blended mixture. No worry, we will try again soon.

After clearing all the mess, we went to Por Por’s house for our usual visit and had dinner there before leaving. We headed to Karpal Singh Drive for a quick cycling as mummy has promised Emeryn earlier. After the cycling session, we went to Tesco to grab some ingredient as mummy wanted to cook chicken rice the next day. At Tesco, mummy bumped into her secondary school friend. We then drove home.
