Our First Try: Sushi Zento

Ever since mummy took back her motorcycle from Ah Kong, mummy fetched Emeryn to Maths tuition using motorcycle and Emeryn is still enjoying the ride. We even rode the motorcycle to Sushi Zento on Fri night for our dinner. It was the first outlet we visited at Summerskye. Before going out for dinner, Emeryn did some revision on her.

On Sat, Emeryn attended her school activities Merentas Desa at Botanical Garden. Mummy dropped her there before going for her annual health check up at LWE. Right after the event, Emeryn had a quick bite in the car while mummy drove her to Dynamic English class.

She attended her Bestari tuition on Sun morning and mummy went for her facial after sending her to class. We then headed to Por Por's house for our Sun visit and had our late meal there before going home.

Restarting School After CNY Break

School resumed on 11th Feb, Mon and we got back to our usual routine. Emeryn has to pick up whatever she left behind prior to not attending school for a week before CNY break. Last week was also her first time getting demerit for not passing up her homework. Mummy asked why and she said that she didn't hear about the instruction of passing up the homework. For this month, we skipped dancing class on Fri as we were very busy. Uncle Leonard came home to celebrate Valentine's Day with mummy.

After sending Emeryn to Maths class on Sat morning, mummy & Uncle Leonard headed to Balik Pulau as he needs to sort out his traffic report at the police station. After her Maths class, Emeryn had chicken rice in the car before going to Dynamic English. Yes, that's how hectic her life is. Most of the time, she doesn't have the luxury to sit down for a proper meal. 3 days in a week, she has to have her packed lunch on the school bus before attending tuition at her daycare. In the evening, mummy dropped Emeryn to Pekaka as she went out with Uncle Leonard for a session of massage and dinner before bringing Emeryn home at about 9.30pm.

On Sun morning, we dropped Emeryn & Karise to Bestari. We did not went over to Por Por's house last week as she was not cooking. We headed out for dinner at Yi Ke Shu instead.

LETTER FROM A MOTHER TO A DAUGHTER

"My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”... Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.

When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?

When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way... remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day... the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.

And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked.

When those days come, don’t feel sad... just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love.

I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you... my darling daughter."
