A Visit to a "Mini Zoo"

On Tues evening, mummy took Emeryn to the photo shop as mummy needed to get a photo for her China visa application. While waiting for the photo to be readied, Emeryn played closely with the owner's puppy. Not long after that, mummy realized some rashes developed on Emeryn's neck. We then waited for daddy to picked us for dinner at downtown.

Emeryn's rashes getting more and more especially on her body. Despite this, mummy still sent Emeryn to school as she does not suspect it's chicken pox. Later the school teacher called and asked mummy to bring Emeryn for a check. Mummy got granny to pick Emeryn from school and helped to bring Emeryn to the clinic. The doctor said it was merely allergy and gave chicken pox a passed. Emeryn spent the rest of the Wed at Pekaka until mummy picked her up after work.

Mummy dropped Emeryn at por por's house on Thurs evening as she went to !st Avenue for a quick dinner and a visit to the newly oepn Coach outlet. Mummy can't resist temptation and finally bought herself a handbag which cost her RM1450. We stayed at home on Fri nite, which is something very unusual for mummy.

On Sat afternoon, daddy brought us out for lunch after he came back from KL. Then mummy bought 20pcs of pan cakes on the way home. Mummy left Emeryn with daddy at home and she drove alone to ofh to pay ah chor a visit. Mummy distributed the pan cakes to the old folks there and stayed for awhile before leaving back to home.

Daddy fetched us out for breakfast on Sun morning and we had curry mee. After our breakfast, we dropped by at Chew Thean Yang because daddy had promised to bring Emeryn to Taiping Zoo a day earlier but didn't make it. Emeryn kept insisting going to the zoo; thus mummy suggested a simpler solution. We went to Chew Thean Yang where we witnessed the fishes, dogs, cats, snakes, rabbits, birds, hamsters and many more. Later in the afternoon mummy drove Emeryn together to the temple as she needed to do some prayer before CNY ended. After the prayer we went over to por por's house but both por por and ah kong were not around. They were at the ofh. So we left. On our way to ofh, we pulled off at strawberry forever as Emeryn needed a drink. We then went over to ofh before going home. Later in the evening we went for dinner at Padang Brown. Kor kor, ah ma, ah kong and Joel joined us later. After the dinner, daddy fetched us to Esplanade along with Joel. Emeryn & Joel played at the playground for awhile before we sent Joel back to Pekaka.

Day 2 of CNY started earlier where we went over to por por's place for the Mah's Reunion Lunch. Por por and aunties helped out at the kitchen while mummy's cousin had their time playing cards. Toki Ee Ee fetched ah chor to por por's place at around 11am where we wanted her to join our reunion lunch. It was all about family affairs and no doubt we all had lotsa fun; undeniable. We started our steamboat session at around 2pm or so. We take turns talking to ah chor and make sure she is well entertained.

Ah chor complained of having painful back skin and we found out that her skin were wounded due to the wearing of diapers. She moaned in pain and we helped her to cleaned her skin before putting some medicated ointment for her. After we cleaned the dining area, we took family photo with ah chor. We sent ah chor back to the ofh at around 8pm. After that we headed to TGV Cinema @ 1st Avenue for our movie date; All Wells, End Wells. Again the whole family gathered together for the movie nite. We headed home immediately after the movie.

On Day 3 itself, mummy had a gathering with her Sixth Former Prefect group at McD, GreenLane. That was her yearly gathering since the last 10years back. Emeryn was there with me all these years. While mummy catch up with her friends, Emeryn played at the indoor playground. We went home at about 1pm before we went out for another gathering at Egate. We headed to por por's place after the short gathering. We bade goodbye to mummy's relative as they went off in the evening. We headed home after that.

Daddy brought us out for breakfast on Day 4 morning along with chik chik, ah chim, kor kor, Joel & Joey. We went home after breakfast before we drove to por por's place. Emeryn insisted to play with Toki Ee Ee's bf; uncle Lin Chun. Emeryn brought some of her books and toys to show Uncle Lin Chun. We had our quick meal at por por's place before heading to Macallum's Ah Chor's. We only managed to be there for 30mins and then we left to ofh to visit ah chor. Many of us are there at the old folks home. We went home at around 5.30pm before we joined Ah Kong, Por Por, Toki Ee, Uncle Lin Chun & Carmen Ee Ee for dinner at Telok Bayan. Toki Ee Ee and Uncle Lin Chun is heading back to Singapore on that evening. Mummy left Emeryn with Por Por as she went our for a quick drinks with her friends. Mummy picked Emeryn from por por's at about 11pm and we headed home as the next morning was a schooling day; where our routine turns back as usual.

CNY's Eve @ Por Por's

CNY's eve fell on Wed; where mummy worked till 3pm and Emeryn attended school school as well. We went home and rest for few hours before heading to por por's place for our reunion dinner at about 6.30pm. An hour after that we went to ah chor's place for our 2nd reunion at Macallum Street. We just dropped by for awhile before heading home again. At about 9.30pm daddy fetched us to Straits Quay for a night stroll. Emeryn played her bubble at the al-fresco area and she had Starbucks before heading home. Emeryn absolutely loves frappuccino mocha, her all time favourite.

This year we do not really celebrate CNY due to the loss of our beloved Pekaka Ah Chor. So there ain't any cny open house, ang pow giving, cny visiting and etc. On Day 1, we went to por por's house in the afternoon and had our late lunch there while waiting for the rest of mummy's relative to reach PG. All of them finally reached at about 7pm and we went out for lunch at the hawker's. It was a total 18 of us and we headed to New World Park after our dinner. The olds and the youngs all gathered together for a reunion drink at Old Town. We managed to snap lotsa photo for memories sake. We left Old Town when mid nite almost struck.

We went out for our late supper on Mon nite and again mummy did not missed her chance getting some CNY cookies after our meal. While on Wed, mummy left her at Pekaka as mummy needed to travel to KL for her Sales Convention. Mummy picked her from school at about 4pm before she joined her colleague for a road trip. At first Emeryn was a bit reluctant to stay over nite at Pekaka as she has not been doing it for awhile already.

The next morning granny sent her to school and uncle James dropped her back at Pekaka after school. Mummy reached Pekaka very late on Thurs nite, at about 11.45pm but Emeryn was still wide awake waiting for mummy. As soon as mummy stepped out from her car, Emeryn ran towards mummy and hugged her tightly; as though they have not met for years. Again Emeryn stayed over nite at Pekaka on Fri nite as mummy needed to attend an event.

Ah Ma brought Emeryn out on Sat morning. They went to the temple to pay ah chor a visit and also headed to the market. Mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka at around 12.30pm and we went home for a long afternoon nap as mummy was having some hang over. Mummy then picked Por Por, Ah Kong and Tokie Ee for dinner at downtown. Toki Ee Ee was back to Penang for her CNY break. After our dinner, mummy brought them to Straits Quay for a walk and introduced the new place to them. We headed home after sending them home.

We went over to por por's place on Sun afternoon. We had our lunch there before visiting ah chor at the ofh. This round mummy brought a box of mandarin orange and get Emeryn to distribute it to all of the folks there. After our visit to the ofh, mummy picked Toki Ee Ee, por por and ah kong to 1st Avenue for their final CNY shopping. Ended up mummy bought a pair of shoe for ah kong and Toki Ee Ee bought a pair of pants and top for por por. Ah Theng Ee Ee joined us for shopping at Prangin Mall at 7.30pm after her work. We continued shopping till our feet hurt and we ended spending 6hours on walking around. It was a long day for us. Each of us got a pair of shoe for CNY. Yay!!! We then headed back to por por's place for our late dinner as all of us were starving so badly. We left almost immediately after filling up our tummies.
