Meeting Mummy's Ex-Unimate

For last week, Emeryn is still attending the free trial tuition on Mon and Tues; which means mummy has to rushed from work, pick Emeryn from daycare and drop her at the tuition by 6pm. Good news is the tuition is ending next week. Emeryn was very co-operative throughout all this rush hours. On Mon, lil' cheeky came back from tuition with 100% on Ejaan and asked for a reward. Ended up mummy bought her a few pieces of dvds which is almost equivalent to her 1 month tuition fee on that subject. Upon reaching home, she played her movie almost immediately. On Wed, mummy took a day off from work and granny picked Emeryn from daycare. Mummy brought Emeryn home later at night.

As usual mummy went out on Fri nite and Emeryn waited for mummy at Pekaka. The next morning she attended Art Class while mummy went to Jelutong market to kill her time. Mummy came across few pieces of nice gowns for Emeryn at one particular shop and bought 2 pieces for Emeryn. Each of them cost RM69. Emeryn put on the dresses after the class but 1 of them was rather small for her since we are keeping them for CNY. We drove back to the same shop and exchange to another piece which Emeryn choose on her own. Again Emeryn requested to go over to Pekaka in the afternoon to have her play session with Joel & Joey. Emeryn spent almost 5hours there before mummy picked her home late in the evening. Mummy bought home a burger from the Malay stall and surprisingly Emeryn loves having it too.

We woke up a lil' earlier on Sun morning and got ourselves readied for a meet-up session with mummy's ex-uni mate, Aunty Se Ee at QBM. During weekend, the car park at QBM was a total pain in the ***. It took us long enough before finding a car park; and yet it was an illegal car park space. We had our lunch at Old Town and Emeryn was introduced to Aunty Se Ee's 5years old son. They did not do any talking at first but started sharing hand phone games after their meals. After the meet-up we went shopping and ended up buying a lovely shoe for Emeryn and it was quite pricey, RM69. Emeryn watched the Garfield and Friends Musical again at 3pm; though she has watched it last week.

After 2hours of shopping, we headed over to Por Por's house for dinner.

Last Fri mummy and Emeryn went for a movie "My Sassy Hubby" at 1st Avenue after work. We went home for a quick bath before heading out to downtown. After buying the movie ticket via the Citibank buy 1 free 1 promo, we went for a quick meal at Kenny Rogers before the movie. The meal was bad enough, indescribable. Luckily Emeryn was awake throughout the whole movie thou she looked a lil' sleepy earlier.

The next morning she attended art class as usual and we re-visited the Chinese sinseh since Emeryn's cough is still persistent. After that mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka as per her request. Emeryn called mummy while she was at Pekaka and she cried. She requested mummy to bring her home immediately as she was angry that Ah Ma brought her to the hair salon and cut her hair. She was in the midst of keeping her hair long. Mummy picked her home and we spent our time at home before driving out for dinner.

On Sun, we went to Por Por's house at about 1.30pm and had our lunch there. We then headed to QBM as mummy has promised to bring Emeryn there to meet Garfield and Friends. We reached there just on time to watch the X'mas Musical. It was a 15mins musical show before they distribute the numbering for the photo session and it's only limited to 20 families. We were lucky to get one. Before the photo shoot, the organizer played a game. It was a puzzle game and they requested two teams to play at one time. They played a total of 3 sessions of the same game. The winner (an adult & his/her child) will walk away with a pair of Garfield tee-shirt. Emeryn was attracted to the tee-shirt and demanded mummy to play the game with her. Mummy was a bit hesitate to go the stage for such thing but gave in since Emeryn was so persistent raising her hand when the organizer select the participants. Finally we were selected as the last team to play and we won. Yay!!! Emeryn was smiling happily after the winning and keep thanking mummy for winning the tee-shirt for her. I have no idea why she was so attracted to the tee-shirt. I'm glad that I did not disappoint her. We walked around after the photo shoot with Garfield & Friends and came back to the center atrium for another photo shoot with Santa Claus & Elf. Before going home, we had a light meal at Kim Gary. We failed to get the high heels for Emeryn but we will hunt for it again. We left QBM at about 6.30pm. That nite, Emeryn slept early.

Studio Shoot

Emeryn started her free trial tuition last week at Island Glades. It was a free class for the whole Dec and taught by 2 Indian teachers which covers BM, BI, Maths and Science. The whole class is about 7-8 students and majority of them are Indians and Malays. It was a good start for Emeryn to get use to her Primary One life. She also have to force herself to learn and comprehend Malay in her common communication in the class. After dropping Emeryn at the tuition class, she went home and did some house chore. That evening, a very unpleasant moment happened!!! While mummy was ironing in Emeryn's room, she heard a sound of the padlock being open repeatedly. At first mummy dismissed it, thinking that the neighbor is unlocking their home. But after awhile of hearing the same noise, mummy went and checked it out. To her surprise, she saw a man trying to unlock our home padlock instead of our neighbor's. Without much thinking, mummy opened the wooden door and scared away the man. He fled immediately and later mummy went to the guard and reported the said incident. Phew, luckily mummy was at home at that time. Else, we dare not imagine what would happen.

Emeryn attended the same tuition on Tues but it was a real rush for both mummy & Emeryn. Mummy took half day afternoon leave on Fri as we were scheduled to have a photo shoot at De Santia. Emeryn went to granny's workplace on Fri morning while waiting for mummy to pick her at 12.45pm. We reach De Santia at about 1.30pm and waited awhile for the simple hairdo and make up before the photo shoot started. We quickly choose the photo we wanted after the shoot completed; which it took about 2.5hours. We headed home after that. Emeryn requested to stay over at Pekaka that evening; so mummy dropped her there while mummy later proceeded for her usual dinner and drinks with her usual Fri gang.

On Sat morning, granny sent Emeryn home at about 8.30am and later mummy dropped her to Art Class. We went out for lunch after Art Class and then headed to downtown as mummy wanted to exchange some Korean Won to pass to Beena Kor Kor. She is going to Korea for her honeymoon and mummy asked her to replenish her cosmetic stock.Too bad Korean Won is out of stock. Emeryn then again requested to go over to granny's house; which mummy allowed. She spent about 4hours at Pekaka before Beena Kor Kor dropped her home. Beena Kor Kor came over and borrowed some of mummy's winter clothing. Later mummy drove to downtown again as she was craving for the Green House Hokkien Mee. On our way home, Emeryn fell asleep and we have to cancel our plan to Tesco.

We spent Sun morning at home. About noon, Beena Kor Kor came over and brought Emeryn to QBM for shopping. Mummy then headed to Tesco to grab a tower fan and did her groceries shopping as well. Mummy went over to Pekaka and picked Emeryn at about 6pm and we went to Por Por's house for our usual visit. We were too full for dinner when we were there; thus we brought the dinner home instead. After dropping by at Por Por's place, we headed over to De Santia as mummy wanted to get the soft copies of the photo shoot. We also dropped by at My Wedding to enquire further on the online voucher which mummy bought for family package. We drover home after that and had our dinner at home.

Renee's 4th Birthday

the preparation

b'day girl

Emeryn joined mummy at her monthly gathering on last Wed at Waka Japanese Restaurant, City Bayview Hotel. Japanese food seems so far in the mind for now but we are not granted a choice since it was a pre-planed birthday celebration of Amanda. Mummy ordered an additional chawanmushi just to satisfy her lil' cheeky's craving.

Last weekend was a real hectic weekend, filled with fun-filled and fruitful events (wedding and 2 birthday celebrations). Ah Ma picked Emeryn from daycare on Fri afternoon and she spent a nite at Pekaka whereas mummy attended her ex-uni mate's wedding along with Aunty Mei Mei at Hard Rock Hotel. Emeryn changed her mind and decided to tag along to the wedding dinner. She called mummy to pick her from Pekaka but unfortunately time was running short to do so. After the wedding dinner, mummy, Aunty Mei and several friends proceeded to Soju Room for some mind-boggling nite.

Ah Ma dropped Emeryn home the next morning before the Art Class. Later we bought lunch home after Art Class and also had some fruits fiesta. Mummy urged Emeryn to get her afternoon nap before attending Renee's birthday party in the evening. After the nap, we got ourselves readied for the grand party at Gurney Hotel. Emeryn dressed perfectly for the event and the theme was Royal Birthday Party. The party was really posh and chic with nice and soothing decoration in pink. After the dinner, the kids were kept entertained by the clown with some magic show and some funny dance. There were also two game stations for the kids where each of them are guaranteed a gift, not to be disappointed. Next, it was the karaoke session for the adult and last but not least the infamous Gangnam dance by all the guest, the young and the old. Before adjourning the party, they gave out several gifts. And Emeryn was crowned the Best Dressed Princess and she received 3 story books. We headed home after the prize giving by Renee.

Emeryn woke up early on Sun morning but mummy decided a longer sleep for herself, where Emeryn went out to the living hall and kept herself occupied with her own stuff. After waking up, mummy got herself and Emeryn readied for the National Horse Show at Penang Turf Club which mummy has promised Emeryn earlier. We left home at about 1pm and headed out for our lunch at La Salle before the horse show. It was another hot sunny day when we arrived but slowly the weather turned very kind to us. We walked around and started visiting the horse and pony breed displays. We then headed to bazaar which showcase the souvenir for sale, face painting, drawing and some food & beverage. The children are also treated to a puppet show and balloon sculptures by the roving clowns. Those looking for a more exciting activity can try the ‘Flying Phoenix’, a mechanical rodeo “bucking horse” and try to set a new record of mounting the mechanical horse for the longest time. We went over to the pony rides station and waited for almost an hour just for a short ride. Nevertheless, Emeryn enjoyed the ride and even requested for another round. Before leaving Turf Club, we went over to the breeds display and continued with what we have missed out earlier.

We headed home a quick rest before going out to pick Ah Kong and Por Por. We went to Goh Teo Kee Restaurant for Ah Chor's 85th birthday celebration. After the dinner, we dropped by at Toys R Us, Gurney Plaza and grabbed a skipping rope requested by Emeryn, utilizing the RM20 voucher we had. It was a week full of happy celebrations.

Renee's B'day Gift

Renee's gift

Emeryn's creation

calling herself Princess Emeryn

Our daily routine resumed the following week after coming back from Japan. Emeryn started her full day care at Edu Excel and mummy reported back to work. Mummy took leave on Fri for her medical check and mummy's friend dropped Emeryn to daycare on that day itself. Before going to daycare, they went for breakfast at Mc Donalds. On Fri evening, Ah Ma picked Emeryn from daycare and she spent her nite at Pekaka. It was also the same day Kakak Suti is leaving Penang for good. She is going back to Semarang after serving us for a good 6years. Thank you Kakak Suti and we will definitely miss you from far. Emeryn sent her to the airport along with Ah Ma. The same week, we had durian feast twice. Yummy!!! Mummy also bought an online voucher for a photoshoot between mummy and Emeryn at De Santia. Mummy planned to develop the new photo into the 12R poster and display it in our new home. Yes, new home but way to go, perhaps another 2.5years.

The next morning, mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka and headed to Art Class. We bought lunch home and spent the rest of the afternoon at home, watching mummy's new Taiwanese series. We didn't join Theng Ee, Por Por and Ah Kong for their steamboat dinner as it was raining heavily at our place.

We headed out to Queensbay Mall on Sun afternoon and we went hunting for Renee's birthday present. It was supposed to be a quick drop-by but we ended up spending an hour or so only at Toys R Us. Emeryn was very indecisive on what gift suits Renee best. We ended up deciding on a set of beads for necklace, earring and bracelet. Emeryn requested for a set of tiara, ring, earring and necklace for herself to wear during Renee's birthday which was themed as the Royal Birthday Party. Toys R Us are having a promotion where we will be given RM20 voucher with a minimum purchase of RM150. So mummy ended up throwing Emeryn a surprise by getting her the same set as well.

After grabbing the pressie, we headed over to Por Por's place for our usual Sun visit and had out dinner there before going home. At home, Emeryn insisted to unwrap her new toy and we had fun making necklace together. It was a good boding session indeed.
