Forever Friends & games

Mandy's 1st Birthday Party

@ Escape

Last Mon, 16th Sept was Malaysia Day and it was generally a public holiday for everyone in Malaysia. In the morning, the plumber came over and fixed our leaking tap and the toilet flush. Later Ah Kong and Por Por dropped by and brought over some ice creams for Emeryn. We spent our morning at home till 2.45pm, where we headed to QBM. We had our later lunch at Porridge Time as Emeryn hearts porridge. Our main intention going over to QBM was to meet Forever Friends. After our meal, we walked over to the Queens Market. Co-incidentally it was time for Forever Friends appearance and we of course did not missed  the chance to queue up. Mummy was getting more excited compares to Emeryn for meeting Forever Friends. After the photography session, Emeryn queued up to get sugar candy and pop corn. Then followed by some games like moon cake puzzle, shoot the pigs angry birds, clown appearance and lastly the magician and his magic. Despite the long queue at the balloon making corner from the clown, Emeryn waited patiently for her turn to have a heart shape balloon. After completing all the 3 games, each participant are entitled to a lucky draw. Emeryn got two notepads. Before going home, we stopped by at the Swatch Photo Moments and had our photo taken wearing their watches with our very own poses. They gave us a copy of our photo print out too. We went home for a quick shower before driving out for Emeryn's BM tuition. Emeryn insisted the class is on but unfortunately it was closed since it was a PH. We drove home then. In the evening, mummy booked a flight ticket to Guilin for our next year vacation.

Mummy took leave on Wed as she needed to clear some leave. So we spent our morning at home and we went for lunch before mummy dropped Emeryn to school. Mummy then booked another flight ticket to Langkawi with her fellow friends for next year too.

On Sat Emeryn attended GB Maths and Art Class as usual. While Emeryn was at the class, mummy drove to downtown to collect her parcel. It was her photobook. In the evening we attended Mandy's 1st Birthday at Evergreen Laurel Hotel. Emeryn happily played with the kids there and even conversed in Bahasa Melayu.

We started our Sun very early, as early as 7am. It was a team building day for mummy and her colleagues. After gathered at the meeting point, we headed for breakfast at Mount Erskine before gearing up to Escape Theme Park at Batu Ferringghi. Due to the height requirement at 120cm, Emeryn was disallowed to play even on Level 1. Emeryn enjoyed Tubby Racer the most and even requested for a second round. Mummy refused as we have to drag the whole big tube up to the slippery slope for 10minutes just to enjoy the 10seconds thrilling fun. Mummy completed Monkey Business Level 2 and all other challenges as well including Atan's Leap, Gecko Tower, Tarzan's Rope and Flying Lemur. Emeryn played on the Tots Trail and Zoom Bug. We left Escape at about 3.30pm and went for lunch at Golden Thai. While on the way home, we dropped by at Por Por's place and brought home her home-cooked meal which we had it for our dinner. It was a tiring day where our bodies aches, filled with bruises and burnt under the hot sun. We called it a day before 10pm.

lunch at Salsas, Gurney Paragon

Emeryn & baby Jazlynn

Last week Emeryn was exempted from attending school on Tues and Thurs due to the UPSR exam week. Mummy took half day leave on Tues and brought her to Gurney Paragon. Emeryn went to the day care in the morning session and we headed to Salsas at Gurney Paragon for lunch. Mummy bought an online deal for it. We both had a set lunch consists of soup, main course, dessert and drinks. After our lunch, we explored the new shopping mall and mummy tries to hunt for an evening gown for her company annual dinner which will be held on Oct. Our initial plan was to hit the new public park at Straits Green but the weather wasn't too kind to us. It continued to drizzle the whole afternoon. We went home at about 4.30pm and spent the rest of the day at home. In the evening, we received a good news where Kor Kor's little precious has arrived. Emeryn got so excited with the news and insisted to tagged along with Ah Ma and Ah Kong to visit baby Jazlynn despite the day was getting dark.

On Thurs, Emeryn attended day care in the morning session and mummy sent her to Pekaka during her lunch break. She wanted to tag along with Ah Ma to the hospital to visit baby Jazlynn. They went to the hospital at about 5pm and mummy drove there after her work. Mummy left the hospital alone at about 7.30pm as Emeryn wanted to stay on. She waited patiently for baby Jazlynn to wake up just to greet her Hi. Emeryn came home at about 10pm.

On Fri, Toki Ee Ee was in Penang and she borrowed mummy's car to run around. Ee Ee and Por Por picked Emeryn from day care and they went for lunch before sending Emeryn to school. That nite we went for movie together along with Carmen Ee Ee, Ah Pak and Ah Mou at 1st Avenue. After movie, we went for supper before heading home.

Emeryn attended GB Maths and Art Class on Sat while mummy went to Prangin Mall to shop for her evening gown. Finally she bought a pair of ballerina dress for herself. In the evening we had family dinner together at The Cruise Steak House. Mummy's uncle, aunty and her cousins went together. It was a huge family affair and also Por Por's first time trying on western cuisine. All the while, she refused to try Western Cuisine. After the dinner we proceeded with the second session at Pik Nik, a cozy cafe where we hang out for a small talk. Ah Kong and Ah Pak keep themselves busy with their smartphones discussion. We then called it a day at about 11.15pm and headed home.

Again we have a family lunch on Sun. After the meal we went for a prayers together before hitting the mall again. It was a quick shop before mummy drop Ah Kong, Por Por and Toki Ee Ee home. We then drove to Straits Green, a relatively new public park to explore further. The playground facilities were absolutely something new to us. The park is equipped with a state-of-the-art playground, a water play area, gazebos as well as jogging tracks. Emeryn cant resist the temptation seeing other kids happily having fun with the water play, she too joined in. Good point was the park is also equipped with a proper toilet and shower place. After cleaning we joined Ah Kong, Por Por and Toki Ee Ee for dinner at Lip Sin before sending Ee Ee to the bus terminal.

Ah Mou's 60th Birthday

We celebrated Ah Mou's (mummy's aunty) 60th Birthday last Sun. We went for her birthday lunch at Four Season Tea House. Mummy's cousin bro and his wife were present together. After the lunch we drove to De Yard Cafe, a relatively new place for a hang out session. We love the creatively decorated interior with some graffiti and finely decorated with antiques. The best thing, every one of us are allowed to scribbled on the walls with marker pens and chalks. Emeryn of course would not missed the fun to show off some of her "artisty talent". Besides, we keep ourselves entertained with the stack 'em and it was also Emeryn's first time playing it. In fact she played very well despite her "rough" movement. The old folks nonetheless keep themselves occupied with the free wifi and have long discussion over the usage of their smartphones.

After the drinks, we dropped Por Por and Ah Kong home and we drove home right after that. We finished the final episode of Triumph in the Skies II and Emeryn was getting so engrossed with the songs in the series. Surprisingly she can sings most of it.

Never Ever Mess with Kids

While stuck in a traffic jam and came across the veterinary hospital, I asked:

Me: Do you know what is that? (pointing to the hosp)
Emeryn: K-L-I-N-I-K H-A-I-W-AN means hospital for animals.
Me: What kind of animal?
Emeryn: Dog la, you can't see the photo of the dog there ar?
Me: *** jokingly: Are you a dog?
Emeryn: Nodded her head...
Me: Hello, doggie.
Emeryn: Hi, chicky.

Lesson learnt: Never ever mess with kids.

Selamat Hari Merdeka, Malaysia

Last week was the day where we Malaysian celebrated our 56th Independence Day on Sat. For the previous years,  we celebrated Merdeka abroad, going for trips. But this year was an exception where mummy has lost her luxury of traveling. Mummy doesn't like the idea of bringing Emeryn for a trip and missing her classes. Thus, she has to bear the consequences.

On Fri lunch hour, mummy bought moon cake. And in the evening, mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka where she over night there while mummy, Carmen Ee Ee, Ah Kong, Por Por, Ah Pak and Ah Mou (mummy's uncle and auntie) went for a movie date. They headed for Pawn Shop (a Thai ghost movie) where admission is only 18years old & above. The movie was bad enough to comment further. After the movie, we went for late nite supper before heading home.

The next day, Sat, mummy picked Emeryn at noon hour and had lunch together before going home. Surprisingly Emeryn took an afternoon nap as she woke up early that morning. We had a family dinner at New Lane and went over to Pacific Komtar after our dinner. Emeryn was requesting for double yolks moon cake, her all time favorite. After the quick shop, we bid Carmen Ee Ee goodbye before heading to New Lane again, where mummy collected her Korean cosmetic from her ex uni mates who has just returned from Seoul. We dropped Por Por home and went home right after that.

On Sun, we did a lot of revision and reading in the morning. Emeryn enjoyed doing her Princess magazine very much. Mummy went out and bought lunch back home. We continued with the books and magazine until we went out to Youth Park at about 4pm. Emeryn played on her scooter. It looks like her fractured bone has recovered perfectly. While she was playing, mummy captured some of Emeryn's videos. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough that afternoon that it started to drizzle not long after Emeryn heads over to the playground. We called off our playground time and drove to Por Por's place. We made a pit-stop by the roadside where Emeryn requested for coconut drinks. We had our dinner at Por Por's place before going home and continued doing the revision. It's time to prepare for the final exam. It was so good that Emeryn started to read on her own now, without needing mummy to sit by her side.
