Parent-Teacher's Day

the report card

@ the library

On Mon morning, mummy successfully grab a promo flight ticket from Air Asia to Perth amounting to about RM676 for a return ticket for mummy & Emeryn. We are traveling to Perth on next Raya, July 2016 along with Beena Kor Kor and her family and mummy's friend, Amanda. Emeryn celebrated her last year birthday at Guilin, and will be celebrating her birthday this year at Bangkok and the coming year at Perth.

At the parent-teacher's day, her class teacher gave a very positive feedback on Emeryn. Instead of translating it to talkative, her teacher said "Emeryn is very mature compares to most of her classmates and she loves contributing her ideas". After meeting the teacher, mummy went to the furniture shop where she ordered a fiber bed top as she was having back pain due to the soft mattress she is sleeping. She then proceeded to Tesco for grocery shopping before going back to the school to fetch Emeryn.

On Sun morning, we headed to Precinct 10 to check out the musical event where mummy has plan to enroll Emeryn into the  vocal class. Emeryn has been singing a lot and she has a very good voice. Mummy wants to see if Emeryn is really talented in singing. We saw 2 kids around Emeryn's age performing on the stage and they could really sing. Before going off, we had a quick bite there. Since we still have some time to kill before Art Class, we dropped by at the kid's library. After the class, we went over to Por Por's house and had dinner before going home.

Movie Date with Daddy

 @ Pos Malaysia

 @ the durian stall

Mummy attended a sales training at her KL Office on last Tues & Wed. Mummy sent Emeryn over to Kor Kor's house on Mon night after completing her homework. Emeryn stayed over at Kor Kor's house and Kor Kor sent her to daycare for the next 2 days when mummy was away.

After the busy week, mummy finally found time to bring Emeryn to Pos Malaysia to courier her hair to the National Cancer Society Malaysia. It was also Emeryn's first experience liaising with Pos Malaysia and mummy explained how her hair donation can reached to the Cancer Society. We then headed to Island Glades after that. Our first stop was the durian stall which Emeryn frequent for the past few years. The uncle can still recognize Emeryn and treated her some durian while waiting for our turn. We also bought home our lunch at the hawker stall. Later in the evening, Emeryn attended her swimming class from 6-7pm. Before the swimming class, we hopped over to Bukit Jambul Complex as our iPad has a tiny crack. Unfortunately nothing much can be done except the kind shop owner replaced the protective screen with a tempered glass layer without any additional charges to prevent from further crack. Emeryn had a movie date with daddy after her class. Mummy dropped Emeryn at Pekaka before going to Roti Bakar for her dinner and proceed to submit her photobook. Later mummy meet daddy near QBM to bring Emeryn home.

The next day Emeryn attended Art Class as usual before we head over to Por Por's house for our usual Sun visit and dinner. Mummy went to Mc Cafe while waiting for Emeryn to finish her class.

Locks of Love

             after the hair cut

 random shoots

trying to be funny

After long persuasion and motivation from mummy, Emeryn finally agreed to cut her long previous hair to be donated to the National Cancer Society. Mummy promised to cut as short as Emeryn if she agrees to donate, to show some support to her. Prior to this, mummy did showed some news and video on how other kids donated their hair for this good cause. Eventually mummy has given up in trying to persuade her as she refused to cut it short. Mummy has made an appointment at the hair salon just to trim our hair earlier. On our way driving to the hair salon, mummy once again tried to convince Emeryn and eventually Emeryn said "YES" to mummy. At first mummy was skeptical about her answer and thus mummy repeated the same question. Reluctantly, she said YES again. Emeryn looked a little puzzle and absolutely not excited when seated on the salon chair. The hairdresser washed her hair before blowing it dry. They then separated her hair into 4 portions and tied with a rubber band. The first cut was emotionally painful for both mummy and Emeryn. She has kept her hair long for ages, or for almost all her life.

Emeryn cut 12 inches of her hair and the hairdresser place it in a plastic bag. Emeryn sat aside after that while waiting for mummy. She looked upset and remain silent till we got into the car. While seating at the back seat, she handed her iPad to mummy. She wrote "Mummy, I am upset and angry. I hate you forever." Mummy remained silent while driving knowing it ain't easy for Emeryn. When mummy pulled off her car to grab dinner, Emeryn started crying uncontrollably. Mummy went to order our dinner and got back to the back seat and talked to Emeryn. At first she was crying and couldn't speak a word. But later she apologized. She said sorry for not sharing her JumpStreet voucher with mummy and sorry for her bad words earlier. She said she feels bad and do not know why she reacted that way. Mummy hugged her and told her it was perfectly ok. Mummy said how proud she is for Emeryn's generosity and most importantly how proud she is being her mama.

On Sun after Art Class we went to Bone Petite opposite USM as Carmen Ee Ee wanted to check out the dog cafe. In fact it wasn't really the cafe we visualize but it's a grooming center for dogs. We spent about an hour there before driving to Por Por's place. That evening we had dinner along with Carmen Ee Ee & her family in conjunction with Father's Day.

Swimming Lesson

Emeryn started the JAWS 2015 Mid Year Holiday Program under PG Swimming Academy on 2nd June. It will be a total of 8 sessions; with each session consists of 2 hours. Throughout 7 classes as for now, she has improved tremendously and exceeded mummy’s expectation. Prior to the lesson, mummy has set her expectation very low and her main objective was to help Emeryn conquers her fear in the water.

Not only that Emeryn has conquered 80% of her fear, she could also go underwater for at least 5 seconds and swim with minimal assistance by now. Previously Emeryn was so reluctant to have her nose and head under the water, never once mummy has witness it. She is totally a change person now. A brave girl in the making.

Due to the continuous practice almost daily, her skin has gone darker. It’s inevitable.

JumpStreet

dinner @ Wallpaper

The school holiday started this week, which also means Emeryn would start her swimming lesson. After every swimming lesson, Aunty Shubie will drop Emeryn at mummy's office and Emeryn would have to wait till mummy's lunch hour before she could send Emeryn to the daycare. There were 2 days which Ah Kong and Ah Ma picked Emeryn after her swimming lesson and sent her to daycare. Emeryn tagged  along with mummy to her monthly gathering at Wallpaper @ Nagore Square on Wed evening.

Mummy brought Emeryn to JumpStreet on Sat in conjunction with their 1st Year Anniversary where there was special kids event from 12pm - 4pm. We had a light meal at D'Piazza before entering JumpStreet. Mummy paid RM27 for Emeryn's entrance fee while she hang around with Emeryn. For the 1st hour, Emeryn were seen jumping and playing on her own until she bumped into her school mate. Mummy brought along a voucher which entitles the holder for 1 free hour of jumping. Thus, Emeryn has got another 1 free hour. While continuing playing, Emeryn joined the kids tele-match and won a free 1 hour jump. Without hesitating, mummy requested for the 3rd hour. During the 3rd hour, Emeryn and her schoolmate joined the coloring contest. Sadly there were only 3 participants taking part as most of the kids prefer to jump on the giant trampoline.

Out of the 3 participants, Emeryn secured the 2nd place and won herself 5 free jump vouchers and a cap. She was super happy for the free voucher and vowed to keep the voucher only for herself. She refuses to share even 1 voucher with me. How selfish ??? We left JumpStreet at about 4.30pm and brought dinner home as we do not want to drive out later. In the evening, we went for a quick swim.

Mummy prepared breakfast for us in the morning as we still have some burger, eggs and bacon left in the fridge. Emeryn attended Art Class in the afternoon before we head over to Por Por's house for our usual visit and dinner.

Snapfie

After Emeryn's 1st swimming lesson, we headed to Snapfie, a newly open Selfie Studio. Por Por tagged along with us as Snapfie is having a Parent's Day Promotion. We paid RM75 for both mummy & Emeryn and Por Por's part would be free of charge. Basically we were allocated 1 hour and we could snap as many photos as possible, using the unlimited props and costume available in the studio.

We were given a bluetooth control to control the camera clicking and there is a lcd screen in front of us. We could see ourselves on the lcd screen and pose before taking the photo. We ended up taking 154 photos in 1 hour +. It was quite a fun and interesting session. We dropped Por Por back at home before mummy sent Emeryn to daycare and mummy reports in to work for the second half day.
