Merry Christmas

learning via her toys & X'mas gift

@ AutoCity

On Tues we went to music class as usual. Sonia distributed some of her chocolates she bought from Hong Kong. Thus was X’mas eve. Mummy’s office closed at 3pm and she went to QBM and grabbed a pair of Parker Pen for daddy as his X’mas gift. Mummy fetched Emeryn from school at about 6pm. Daddy promised to give us a surprise in which he insisted not to tell but drove us there directly on Thurs evening. We went home and dressed nicely before the dinner. But instead of choosing her gown, Emeryn opt for her so-called A-B-C top paired with the new leggy pants which mummy just bought from QBM.

Daddy initial plan was to bring us for dinner at The Ship, Batu Feringghi but it was fully booked upon reaching. Many are still lining up while waiting to be seated. So mummy suggested we drove further down and look up for other restaurants instead of waiting. Finally we spotted Feringghi Garden, a nice, cosy place with great ambience. It was our first time dining there and mummy stumbled upon her ex colleague over there. The restaurant prepared party hats and mask to cater to the special nite. Daddy ordered smoked salmon while mummy opted for fish and chip. After the dinner, we took a stroll by the beach before going home.

Daddy fetched Emeryn to Pekaka for lunch while waiting for mummy to get ready. Later mummy drove to Pekaka to meet up with daddy and Emeryn. Daddy drove us to Gurney Plaza and he wanted to get Emeryn a X’mas gift. We shopped a lil’ while and ended up at MPH again. Mummy bought Emeryn a kumon flash card where she could write on the card board and wipe it off for repeated exercise. We went to Sakae Sushi after that and headed home after the yummy meal. Emeryn took her afternoon nap right after reaching home. Later in the evening we joined ah kong and family for seafood dinner at Tambun. We went to AutoCity after our dinner. Emeryn and daddy played the tut-tut train and several games at the mini fun fair. Daddy also bought Emeryn a Ben 10 balloon and an ice cream before leaving home.

Daddy was working on Sat morning till late evening. Mummy brought Emeryn to Pekaka for lunch and stayed there for about 3hours before leaving home as Emeryn needed her nap. Both mummy and Emeryn slept till 8pm. After we showered, daddy drove us out for dinner. After our dinner, daddy drove around town and stopped by at New World Park for a walk before sending us home.

We went out for breakfast on Sun morning before visiting por por and ah kong later in the evening.

X’mas Arrived Earlier than Scheduled

on Sat

on Sun

X'mas Gift

Mummy and Emeryn attended music class as usual on Tues evening. Later at nite, Uncle Jay delivered his promise to Emeryn by dropping Barney to Emeryn. Oh, he really gets a Barney as a X’mas gift for Emeryn. Mummy showed Emeryn the Barney on the next morning and she seems to like it very much.

After dinner on Thurs, daddy drove us out for a walk. First he stopped by the hawker street and had soya bean drink and tau hwa. Then he drove us to Gurney to get some snacks and rojak. Initially we planned to go for a walk at Gurney but too bad it was raining. So we ended up eating the snack and rojak in the car. We drove home shortly after that.

Fri, it was a public holiday. Thus mummy ain’t working. We went out for breakfast even it was raining. After the breakfast, mummy dropped by at her office to grab some document before we headed to Pekaka. We stayed a lil’ while before mummy fetched Emeryn to Mc D at Greenlane. Mummy brought along her unfinished work and went online at Mc D while Emeryn was playing by herself. We left Mc D at about 2.45pm and mummy grabbed a chicken floss bun for Emeryn while on the way. Mummy planned to get a haircut but ended up decided to get a perm instead. So she planned to send Emeryn to Pekaka for her afternoon nap while she sneaks out. Upon reaching Pekaka, no one was at home. No choice, mummy got to bring Emeryn along to the hair salon. The perming started at about 4pm and it last for almost 4hours. Phew.. Finally we managed to survive through the 4hours there. Emeryn did not make any fuss even she got to wait for such a long hours for mummy without doing anything there. We bought roti canai back home as our dinner. After dinner, Emeryn took her bath and went to bed almost immediately as she has missed her afternoon nap.

On Sat morning, daddy brought us out for breakfast. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon at home as it was raining every now and then. Later in the evening, daddy fetched us to Botanical Garden for a walk. We bought fruits, snacks and ice cream before entering the park. After finishing our snack we went for a short water play. Emeryn brought along her beach toys and daddy managed to scoop 4 small lil’ fishes over there. Haha, our so-called fishing. We went back to Pekaka for dinner after that. Before heading home, daddy fetched Emeryn to get soya bean drinks.

We woke up a lil’ earlier on Sun morning. Again we went out for breakfast and we went downtown to have koay teow th’ng. After our breakfast, daddy dropped mummy at Prangin Mall to exchange the faulty mouse but to her dismay the shop is still closed at that time. Daddy also bought us an aquarium and some tiny fishing equipment. Our mission of the day was to catch a fish, a real fish. So off we headed to Botanical Garden again. Both daddy and mummy tried their best but yet failed to fish any fishes. Too bad. Emeryn was having such a blast and great time playing water. We went home at about 1.30pm. As usual Emeryn took her afternoon nap before daddy fetched us to por por’s house.

Ear Piercing

@ the bbq

Last Thursday, mummy went for a movie entitled Love Happens at QBM, fully sponsored by the company. Mummy fetched Emeryn from the nursery right after work and headed to Tesco to buy the cheese cake’s ingredients. Mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka and fed her dinner before leaving to QBM. Mummy went back to Pekaka after the movie at about 10.30pm and we headed home. Upon reaching home, mummy realised she has missed out the evaporated milk as one of the ingredient for the cheese cake. No choice, mummy fetched Emeryn to 7-11 to get it. It took mummy almost an hour to prepare the cheese cake for the pop luck house warming.

On Friday mummy brought Emeryn to aunty Cynzer’s pop-luck house warming at Gold Coast Resort. Mummy fetched Emeryn home after school and we went home for a change before proceeding to Gold Coast Resort. We arrived at about 7.30pm and the rest are about to start the bbq session. It was more like a drinking session compare to a bbq session as there were many different type of liquors and beers. All the uncles and aunties there were very friendly and they love Emeryn a lot. Emeryn behaved so well that nite and she really enjoyed herself a lot. We ended up staying up to 11.30pm. Before leaving, Uncle Jay promised to get Emeryn a Barney.

Mummy sent Emeryn to half day school on Sat while mummy ran some errands. We went back to Pekaka for lunch before going home. We spent the rest of the afternoon at home. Later in the evening, daddy drove us out to the infamous chicken feet for dinner. After our dinner, we went to the playground next to Gurney Plaza.

We went out for breakfast on Sun morning. After the breakfast, daddy drove to downtown as he needed to get himself a new belt. Since we were at downtown, mummy suggested bringing Emeryn for ear piercing. Before going, mummy asked Emeryn a few questions in order to test if she is ready to bear the pain. She said she will do fine and she is looking forward being pretty. Mummy warned Emeryn not to cry. We went to an accessories shop at Komtar. Amazingly my lil’ heroin did not shed her tears at all during the piercing. Mummy was a lil’ worried if Emeryn can’t handle the pain but turned out Emeryn was way too good to handle the situation. She even thanked and waved goodbye to the aunty before leaving. Asked if she feels pain, she said No.

We dropped daddy at Pekaka after the ear piercing and mummy drove home. Emeryn took her afternoon nap as usual before we visit por por and ah kong.

New Laptop

@ the playground

@ the wedding dinner

Mummy started work again on 1st Dec, Tues and Emeryn attended school as well on the next day after arriving at Penang. Kakak returned to Indonesia on Fri. On Tues evening, daddy and kakak tagged along to the music class. Kakak stayed with us on Wed nite and mummy went out with her friends for dinner and a light drinking session. Again, Emeryn cried terribly when mummy was about to leave home. She insisted to tag along and also asked mummy to drive her to Pekaka if she can’t follow mummy. With heavy heart, mummy left since she was running late.

Kakak took a flight from Penang – KL on Thurs nite. Her flight to Solo will be on Fri morning. On Star morning, we went for additional music lesson as a replacement. After the music class, mummy went to the mini market to get some vege in order to cook porridge for Emeryn. Mummy was superb happy on that day as Emeryn finished almost 70% of the porridge and she commented “yummy”. Later in the afternoon, Emeryn took her nap as usual. We spent the rest of the Sat at home until the evening. We attended daddy’s high school-mate’s wedding dinner at Traders Hotel. Co-incidentally we met with Theng Ee Ee at the same function. Haha. After the dinner, Emeryn brought back several souvenirs such as box chocolate and cuttie fridge magnet.

Daddy fetched us for breakfast on Sun morning. After breakfast we went to The Sleeping Buddha to visit ah kong. He has enrolled for a week praying session over there. So last Sun was his last day at the temple. He has to wear like a monk and has his hair cut bald. At first Emeryn was shocked and scared to see ah kong in such a way. We stayed a lil’ while there and had a light lunch break at the temple. Mummy is supposed to bring Emeryn to the library on Sun. Eventually granny and ah chim followed our car back. So daddy dropped us at the library for a short while just to renew our book.

Emeryn took her afternoon nap upon reaching home. Then we headed to por por’s house for our usual visit. Before going to por por’s house, we dropped by at the playground at Esplanade. It has been awhile since the last time we were there. We had our dinner at por por’s house before adjourned to pc fair with Theng Ee Ee. Ended up both mummy and ee ee got themselves a Dell Inspiron 1440 notebook at RM2399. We met ah kong, daddy, kor kor and chik chik at the pc fair as well. We went home at about 9.30pm, tired but satisfied.

Medan Trip

Last Tues was Jammin Senzation school holiday. Thus we need not attend the class. On Fri morning, daddy dropped mummy for her body massage while daddy brought Emeryn for breakfast along with grandpa. Daddy fetched mummy after an hour and we headed home right after that. Emeryn took her afternoon nap while mummy continued with her last min packing. We are heading to Medan this holiday along with por por, toki ee ee, ah ma, kor kor and ah chor. It was such a havoc before we finally board the plane.

First Toki Ee Ee called mummy at 3.15pm and she was stucked at Johor bus station. She is supposed to be at LCCT by 8.30pm to catch her flight to Medan to join us. No matter how fast the bus speed, she will not make it on time. Like wise, mummy always quoted she is a fan of latecomers. No doubt, it's too true not to believe. Daddy suggested that she alight at Seremban and takes a taxi straight to LCCT. Finally Ee Ee makes it on time to the airport. Secondly, when we were about to check in 30mins before the flight, granny just noticed that she took the wrong passport. Both she and kor kor's passport were left at home. Gosh, how could that be? Lucky enough ah kong drove to the airport and they managed to check in. Mummy was seriously being pressured handling both situations.

We reached Polonia Airport, Medan at about 8pm. We were greeted by our tour guide upon arrival and we had our dinner while waiting for Ee Ee to join us after an hour. We had packed chicken rice and wandered around the airport after our dinner. Nothing impressive about the airport and it looks like a bus station compare to an airport. Ee Ee's flight was delayed and we waited for 1.5hours. After meeting her, the tour guide sent us to the hotel at Medan, City Inn. We were impressed with the hotel as it was very spacious and clean. All of us slept quite late that nite.

The next morning, we had our breakfast at the hotel before leaving to Parapat. It took us about 4.5hours journey. We had lunch before our excursion by ferry to Samosir Island. The ferry took about an hour to reach Tomok Village. We shopped along the Tomok Village before visiting the sarcophagus / grave of Batak Toba Kings. Next, we visited the Ambarita village to witness the stone court and meeting place which were used by the native ancient time. The driver sent us to Toledo Hotel right after the visit. The surrounding of the hotel was very soothing and it is sea-viewed but too bad, the room condition was a lil' not up to our expectations. We took our shower before heading for our sumptuous yet yummy dinner at the hotel. After our dinner, we walked to the night market and enjoying the soothing breeze. We stopped by at a bar and watched a local traditional musical group performing. We called it a nite after that.

Our third day started as early as 5.45am as we wanted to spend more time for leisure. We ordered packed breakfast from the hotel and headed back to Parapat via ferry. We had our breakfast while cruising back to the island. Upon reaching Parapat, we hired a "skuter" (a so-called engine boat) and went around the side of Lake Toba. It took us about 40mins. After that we visited the ex-president residential and again we shopped till we drop at the morning market. The tour continued with lunch at a chinese restaurant. We left to Brastagi after that and visited the Long House of Batak Simalungun Kings. We also visited the Sipiso-Piso Waterfall, a slender stream from a great height in the Karo highlands. We continued our journey after that and the driver stopped us at another afternoon market. We took a horse carriage to tour around the city before continuing with our shopping. We headed to Mikie Hotel right after that. It was a 4 stars hotel and it looks very luxury and high end. Among all the hotels provided by the package, Mikie Hotel was the best. Yes, the best. Even the dinner and the breakfast were so good and the service was indescribable. Excellent room, facilities and meals. Two thumbs up :)

Our last day ended at Medan. It took us 2hours ride to reach Medan. Upon reaching, we visited the Chinese Temple and the batik shop. We had our buffet lunch before heading to Medan Mall and our last stop was at Sun Plaza. Mummy bought a Polo baby tee for herself and a tee shirt for daddy. Too bad, mummy can't find a small size for Emeryn. We went to airport after that leaving Ee Ee alone at Sun Plaza as her flight was 3hours later after ours.

Daddy picked us from the airport and we went for dinner upon reaching Penang.
