Primary One orientation day

Kelly's housewarming

X'mas eve, the silent nite was spent at home, just being us the mummy and her sweetheart. Mummy had red wine and Emeryn had sparkling juice and we both toast for a better year ahead. May every moment in your life be a blessing. May you be showered with love and care. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. 2012 was bad enough for mummy, having going through life roller coaster and lets wish for a better 2013.

While on X'mas day, we had brunch at Super Tanker. Before our brunch, we took a stroll at the morning market. Morning market was a place mummy grew up with, buying her CNY clothing and many other necessities back then. Unfortunately mummy no longer find morning market meets her requirement anymore but nonetheless we still enjoy our stroll there. We went home after taking our meal and went to Prangin Mall at 3.30pm for shopping. We do not want to spend the meaningful day at home, doing nothing. After an hour of shopping, there was nothing that caught our eyes and we still walked empty handed. Emeryn then requested for the infamous tom yam noodle when the aroma reaches her nose. We both shared a bowl of it and then walked over to 1st Avenue after savouring the yummylicious noodle. Our first pit stop was at the central atrium where we spotted Santa Claus and Santarinas in pink. One of the santarina handed over a candy to Emeryn and she took a photo with them. We then headed over for coffee at Gloria Jeans. Emeryn didn't like her hot choc, thus we went to Ee Ee's working place and gave it to her. We continued our shopping mission and finally mummy happily bought two pants for herself. We dropped by at Pacific Komtar while walking to the car park and Emeryn requested mummy to buy daddy a tee shirt. We walked into Reject Shop and Emeryn selected a black tee for daddy. She called daddy immediately to inform him about the gift and after all he was the happy man. We headed home right away after that.

On Thurs Emeryn attended art class as we are unable to attend on Sat. While Emeryn was at art class, mummy went to Subway @ egate to meet one of her long lost friend. For the whole week Emeryn skipped daycare as mummy wanted to give her a week off before starting her new school life. Mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka before going to work. On Fri evening, Emeryn joined mummy at Via Pre for X'mas gathering. We had the gift exchange after the dinner and then adjourned to Twelve Cups for a drink. Emeryn requested for a mango crepe and she enjoyed it to the max. We called it a nite at 10pm.

Sat, the most awaited day, orientation. Emeryn reported in to SK Convent Green Lane and daddy joined us too. The whole orientation took 4hours which includes of welcoming speech and briefing by the Principal and teachers, buying books, paying the necessary school fees. As for the kids, they had some ice breaking session and were kept occupied with some activity. We went home after that and bought lunch for Emeryn while waiting for Aunty Karen's call. Later in the afternoon, mummy picked Aunty Karen and some friend to Bangkok Lane for the infamous mee goreng. Aunty Karen and Aunty Kathy came all the way from KL to celebrate New Year with us. After the sumptuous meal, we dropped by at Him Heang where both of them wanted to bring some souvenir home. We then drove over to Farlim's All Season Place for a huge gathering at Who's Bryan. They were all mummy's ex uni mates and high school friends. We headed over to Bali Bali to get some snack and finger food for Kelly's house warming. We spent our nite at Kelly's place. It was a fun gathering for all.

We woke up late on Sun and headed out for a quick brunch. We went to Por Por's house early in the evening. Emeryn reminded mummy on her promise, fetching Emeryn on motorbike. Since it was a promise made, mummy has to deliver it. We rode the motorbike at the housing area just to satisfy Emeryn. She was extremely happy and even demanded to stay at Por Por's place that nite. At least it has been 7-8 years ago since mummy last rode on her motorbike. We went home after that.

The current progress on Emeryn: She has two permanent teeth erupting and we need to do away with one of the milk tooth to make way for the permanent one. She has to shake her tooth daily to loosen it; rather than going back to the dentist again.
