Busy Weekend with Flo

@ Khoo Kongsi

crayon coloring @ Whiteaways Arcade

Weekend started early, on Fri. We had a movie date with Aunty Mei & Flo at Gurney Plaza watching Frankenweenie  at 3.40pm. Mummy was surprised as soon as she stepped out from the shower, seeing Emeryn getting herself readied with make-up. She professionally put on the mascara without any smear and just enough blusher to show her rosy cheek She obviously has the skills for it. Mummy was puzzled and dumb folded. Before movie, we went for lunch with mummy's friend at Batu Lanchang. We reached GSC on time but unfortunately Aunty Mei & Flo were late, for almost 35mins. Emeryn & Flo started chit chatting as soon as both sat together in the cinema. After the movie, we had a short walk at Gurney Plaza before moving over to Gurney Paragon.

We went for our early dinner at Brussel and the kids spent time running around the water fountain while the mummies catching up over a pint of Hoegarden. We waited for the water fountain show at 7.30pm where the kids were seen to had a lot of fun. Then, we moved over to Pacific Coffee for a drinks. The kids kept themselves busy with the free computer games at Pacific Coffee and even joined a group of elderly dancing in the open air space. We called it a nite at about 9pm and walked over to Gurney Plaza where we parked our cars. It was a fun yet tiring outing and Emeryn fell asleep as soon as we reached home.

On Sat, Emeryn attended Art Class as usual in the morning and we spent the rest of the afternoon at home. Emeryn took a quick nap too before out evening outing to Khoo Kongsi. The event was called An Evening of Lights at Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi. We reached there at about 7.30pm and sat down for a quick dinner before the performance started. Tourist were seen swamped the place too. In addition to the usual Chinese cultural performances, visitors were treated to modern dances as well. There were the usual souvenir stalls for tourists to buy gifts for their family and friends and of course, any event would not be complete without the usual hawker fare. Performances that we witnessed were the Chinese cultural ribbon dance, Chinese fan dance, modern dance to the song Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and etc. The girls were sweating as the run around the area non-stop. We left at about 9pm and went off separately. We bought supper home as the dinner earlier wasn't enough.

The next morning, Aunty Mei picked us up and we headed out for breakfast before the crayon coloring event. The weather was very kind to us throughout the whole event. The girls colored the theme of Halloween. As usual, they started off with heavy chatting while coloring. They chatted more than the coloring. Finally after much control from  both mummies, the kids managed to complete the whole coloring in an hour time. Flo finished first, and Emeryn shed tears knowing she finished after Flo. Sigh. The spirit of being Number One is so important for them. :( After submitting the coloring, they were presented a small goodie bag. We spent a short while at the arcade before leaving. We had our lunch together at Genting before sending us home. We took a rest at home before going over to Por Por's house for our dinner. After dinner, we headed to Prangin Mall where mummy brought Emeryn a school shoe for her Std 1 and got herself a glass flat pump from Opera. We went home after that.

yes, even the simplest activity is enough to occupy the kids.
