Mon was a replacement public holiday for Awal Muharram which falls on Sun. Mummy and Emeryn went for a movie in the afternoon at GSC, Queensbay, claiming the free birthday voucher. We watched Life of  Pets. After the movie we shopped around before having our dinner at Queens Food Market. Emeryn had the famous Malaysia favorite meal, nasi lemak ayam rendang. Though it was a little too spicy, she managed to finish it clean.

On the next day, mummy found Emeryn crying in her room with her piggy banks lying on her bed. Eventually she cried because she doesn't have enough money to buy mummy a birthday gift. She intended to get a purse from the school book store amounting to RM25 or so. Instead of getting mummy the gift from school, mummy suggested to get something cheaper at Mr DIY and she agreed.

Mummy took leave on her birthday and went for a me-time in the morning, settling her car loan. It was also the car's 3rd anniversary. Mummy booked her car 3 years ago and now she is paying her last installment. Moving on, the car solely belongs to her, no longer the bank anymore. It's another huge achievement for mummy for being able to clear off the loan in 3 years time. After school, mummy brought Emeryn to Mr DIY and mummy choose a small jewellery box. After buying the gift, mummy dropped Emeryn to the daycare. In the evening we had a very simple celebration at home, getting Emeryn's favorite durian cheesecake from Secret Recipe. Emeryn sang 4 versions of birthday song for mummy including English, Chinese, Malay and Korean version. Aside from that, Emeryn bought a pen and a notebook for mummy too.

Emeryn went to school on Sat morning for her extra co-curriculum. After her activity, we went to P Ramlee to try the most talked about vegetarian curry mee. We were surprised to see the long queue and it took us 25minutes to reach us. We also bought 2 packet for Ah Ma and delivered it to Pekaka for her.

On Sun morning, Emeryn attended Cambridge class from 9am-12pm. After the class, Emeryn requested for the same curry mee again. This round we had it there instead of taking it away. Amazingly we don't have to queue at all since we are eating there. After the meal, we went to Por Por's house and Emeryn spent some time with her lil' sweetheart. We then make our way to Queensbay. We bought a sweater and a long pants for Emeryn for our Korea trip. She also insisted to buy a long sleeve dress which she choose on her own. Emeryn also bought 2 books from Borders, utilizing the RM50 voucher which mummy converted from her credit card points. She bought "When I was a kid 3 & 4", a book which her classmates are reading as well. Before going home, we bought porridge from Queens Market for our dinner.

From FB: First she asked if daddy can pick her from school tomorrow at 2pm. I questioned her why since she don't have to stay back. She laughed and replied I got thing to do. I casually teased her, I know why, you want to get me a gift. She quickly said Noooo. Later at home, I caught her busy counting her coins and notes and ended up crying. I walked to her room and checked on her only to realized she don't have enough money to buy me a birthday gift. That precious moment worth more than anything. We settled with a plan where I'll be picking her up from school and will bring her for "gift shopping" at Mr Diy.
