Father's Day dinner for Ah Kong

Emeryn attended her daycare for full day for the past 1 week. We spent the last week of school holiday in Penang, basically not going anywhere. After picking Emeryn from daycare, we would drop by at the playground where Emeryn played along with the kids there.

On Sat, it was the Malaysia Supermodel Audition at Queensbay Mall. We left home at about 1pm after getting some simple hairdo and make up done by mummy. Upon reaching QBM, mummy brought Emeryn to KFC and let her had a quick bite before registering her entry. Emeryn was supposed to be the first contestant on the runaway. She almost broke down knowing that as she was very nervous. Mummy got the organizer to change the numbering and yet she would still be the second participant on the runaway, to be exact the first kid participant. On the spot, the organizer brief us which spot to pose and what to say. The participants were given a list of details they should say on the stage and there would be a Q&A session. Emeryn was panicked and requested mummy to stand beside her all the time. Mummy ensures her that everything would be ok and she bravely walked up on the stage with pride and joy. She wasn't really able to answer the question by the judge but he is kind enough to guide Emeryn to the answer.  Everything went well and mummy felt so proud seeing her brave baby on the runaway with her catwalk She went for lunch with Ah Ma &  Joey who came to support her after her catwalk.

Ah Ma & Joey left after lunch and we went shopping at Jusco before going back to the event for the closing ceremony. The result will be announce on July via email. It was such a big achievement for Emeryn on her first solo catwalk. We left QBM about 5pm. We then headed to Uncle Charles's home to pass him our passport to be transported back to KL. After leaving Uncle Charles's home, we de-toured to our soon-to-be-paradise just to try our luck if we were allowed to go in for a quick viewing. Unfortunately we ain't that lucky after all. Before going home, we bought dinner as we were too tired to go out for dinner.

On the last day of school holiday, we woke up slightly earlier than our usual weekend. We headed to Bibis Cafe for our brunch. Emeryn ordered an egg benedict and mummy ordered spaghetti bolognese and a cup of macchiato. The food there are seriously yummy but the down side was the small place which can't accommodate huge group. After our satisfying meal, we headed to the optometry at Pulau Tikus for Emeryn's half yearly check up. Unexpectedly her vision remains the same as half year ago. The optometrist did not suggest a glasses for Emeryn despite her reading is at 75. What a relief!!!

We then drove to Penang Municipal Park and headed to the accessible playground. It was our first time there and we were really impressed with the set up. The Easy Accessible Playground is the first Accessible Playground in Malaysia. It conforms with the Principles of Universal Design and accessible to special children including those using wheelchairs, with health problems, mentally retarded, down syndrome and others. We only dropped by for about 20mins to have a short play and snapped some photo as the weather was too hot for us. On our way to the children library, we had a pit-stop at the coconut stall and had a coconut drink as our thirst breaker. Emeryn went to the library and picked up few books she wanted to borrow. She bumped into her schoolmate there and later they went into the i-play room to play together. We spent an hour there before leaving to Gurney Paragon.

We celebrated Father's Day for Ah Kong along with Theng Ee Ee, Uncle Kelvin and Por Por at Savaro. We went home almost immediately after the dinner to prepare for the next schooling day.
