Guilin Day 4

On Day 4, we woke up at about 8.15am and all of us went out for breakfast together before checking out from Wada Hostel. Again it was drizzling when we left the hostel, heading towards the bus station. We waited for about 30mins for the minibus to send us to Yangshuo Bus Station and the journey took at least 15minutes. As soon as we alighted from the minibus, there are many buses ready to depart to Guilin. The journey took us about 1hour and 15mins. As soon as we arrived at Guilin Bus Station, we boarded the public bus to Wada Hostel where we came back again.

At Guilin, we hopped over to the city and visited the Rong Lake and Shan Lake. Emeryn, Por Por and Ah Kong took the photography session by wearing their traditional costume. We then headed over to the Pedestrian Street Night Market and spent our evening there before going back for a rest.

The Raya holiday continues on Mon & Tues. On Mon, we went out lunch with Carmen Ee Ee and her family, Por Por and Ah Kong before heading over to Persiaran Karpal Singh. Mummy met up with Aunty Grace for a drinks at Coffeesmith, a relatively new coffee place. After the drinks, Emeryn insisted for a few rounds on her two wheels before we went over to the confinement center to pay a visit to Aunty Esther and her new born baby, Gabrilynn. Emeryn was feeling slightly under the weather on that day. We spent about 45mins at the confinement center before heading home.

While on Tues, we did nothing much but choose to stay indoor instead, catching up with Emeryn's homework. For the next three days, Emeryn attended her daycare while mummy was at work. In the morning session, she went to Ah Ma's daycare and mummy sent her to her own daycare during mummy's lunch break. On Wed, Emeryn tagged along with mummy for her massage session. Emeryn requested for a manicure and pedicure session upon seeing the center offering such service. The shop owner was too kind to let mummy swap her additional massage voucher to an express manicure and pedicure for Emeryn. Emeryn was so excited having her nails polished on her favorite colors. Mummy was running out of idea for dinner, so she settled for a simple toast bread on egg.

We dropped by at the playground around our neighborhood after daycare on Fri evening. Emeryn successfully mastered her cycling skills now and she made few new friends at the playground too. Before leaving, they make a date for cycling the next day. We had dinner before going home. We went to LWE on Sat noon as mummy was having some eye infection. Later in the afternoon Emeryn attended Art Class after taking a break for 2months. We drove out in the evening for our tom yam dinner, requested by Emeryn.

On Sun morning, we went for mummy's facial appointment. We had lunch after the facial appointment and then rushed to the Sunday class at Midlands Park. It was Emeryn's second time attending the class and they had charade on that day. We went over to Por Por's house for our Sun visit after the class. That was how we concluded the one week Raya holiday.

We woke up as early as 7am on our second day. Aunty Karen and Emeryn went out for their fishing and to enjoy the morning fresh air. They caught another two fishes. We then head over to Restaurant Kakak for breakfast. Mummy being the so-called tour guide on her second trip to Taiping drove us around. Next we drove to Kuala Sepetang and expected the infamous Mee Udang Kak Jah close due to the Raya holiday. Our first stop was Mr Chuah Charcoal Factory. Each of us paid RM3 for a guided tour to the charcoal factory with full explanation by the owner. It was a very educational tour for us.

Thereafter we continued the short drive to Kuala Sepetang Jetty, making a pit-stop observing the dried seafood and the surrounding of the jetty before going back to Taiping. We went to the Taiping Lake to snap some photo before checking out from Sentosa Villa. We had our lunch at Larut Matang before ending our Taiping trip. Aunty Karen and Kathy decided to follow us back to Penang to meet up some friends. They tailed our car from behind. Mummy offered them to stay over at our place for a nite.

We reached home at about 3.30pm and rested before going out for dinner. At home, we played some games to kill time. We had our dinner at Talk Talk Cafe along with mummy's ex uni mate and finally Emeryn got to meet Florence after so long. We spent about 4hours catching up over dinner and drinks. We called it a nite at about 10pm.

Raya Break - Sentosa Villa

It was a long Raya break, a total of 4 days off for mummy. We went for a 2days 1 nite trip with Aunty Karen & Kathy. Mummy suggested Sentosa Villa as we fell in love with the place when we first dropped by. Though it was a public holiday and we expected a heavy traffic, we arrived at Sentosa Villa in just an hour drive. It was a pleasant drive despite the big celebration ahead. We checked in at about 12.45pm and headed out for a nature walk right after.

Emeryn brought along her fishing net and water shooter. We explored the whole area on foot. It was a huge place and we take our time to enjoy the fresh air there. It is the right place to get tranquility and see the beauty of this natural garden view cottages. We enjoyed fishing at the stream and dipping our feet into the cold running water. Aside from the natural stream, it offers other facilities like jungle trekking, jogging trail, bbq, dart, swing, see-saw and best of all, the hammock for us to rest.

We waited up to 3pm but Aunty Karen & Kathy has not arrived. We were too hungry to wait further. Thus mummy drove to Larut Matang for our late lunch. After our meal we hang out at Taiping Mall while waiting for them to arrive. After driving for more than 10hours from KL, they both arrived at about 5.30pm. Mummy brought them to Pusat Penjaja Taiping for a meal. After the meal we headed back to the villa. Thereafter all of us went out for the nature walk where Aunty Karen caught a fish for Emeryn. We then got ourselves a refreshment after the walk before heading out to Taman Tasik Food Court for our dinner. We ended our night as early as 11pm.
