Cameron Trip

 the beginning of the journey

After Emeryn's Cambridge class on Sun, we drove straight to Penang Bridge and waited for Uncle Leonard & Karise to meet us there. We left Penang at about 12.45pm and heading to Ipoh. It was our first road trip together with them. Our first stop was at the Lou Wong beansprout chicken rice. We walked next to the shop and ordered egg custard from Thea Chun kopitiam. After enjoying our late lunch, we made a pit stop at the Concubine Lane before mummy requested for her Nam Heong white coffee.

We then drove straight to Cameron thereafter. We finally reached the apartment, Natasya Resort at about 6.30pm and then checked in. The apartment is located exactly right in front of Copthorne Hotel and is very spacious. It comes with a kitchen, a living room, a small dining area, 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed. After a short refreshment, we went out to the night market. At first we couldn't locate the market as it has moved to a new location. After asking around, we found it. We walked around the night market and bought dinner back to the apartment. At the apartment, we made strawberry ice blended too as strawberries are really cheap during the Puasa month.

The next morning, we had our breakfast nearby the apartment before going to Kea Farm market. We spent the whole morning there before visiting Bharat Tea Valley. It was a very sunny day and we couldn't make it to stay outdoor too long. We then drove to the funfair next to Cameron Square as the kids wanted to have some rides there. Of all the hypes of cheese cake, we landed ourselves at Strawberry Cottage @ Cameron Square. We ordered nasi lemak cheese cake and chendol cheese cake which were highly recommended by most blogs. Somehow the nasi lemak cheese cake tasted too weird for our liking.

Next we headed to Brinchang and tried hard to get ingredients for steamboat. We got to run several places before we could finally get fish balls, vege, chicken and etc. We drove back to the apartment and start with the preparation and finally start enjoying the hot meal at about 6pm. It was nevertheless a very satisfying meal with most of the preparation was done by Uncle Leonard. It was such a pleasure eating out hot pot in the chilling weather at the apartment's balcony.  After filling our tummies, the kids requested mummy to bring them to the playground to run around. Later in the late evening, we drove to the same night market again as there was no other place to visit at nite.
