When Emeryn recovered from her sickness, the virus was passed to mummy and finally mummy was down on Tues. Mummy went to work on Tues morning but couldn't survive another half day so she took MC. After visiting the clinic and bought lunch, mummy headed home for a much needed rest. Mummy dragged herself out from the bed and proceeded with her monthly gathering which was planned much earlier despite being unwell. After the gathering, mummy picked Emeryn home from her tuition. Before heading home, we went for the Cambridge Parents-Teachers meet up session. To mummy's dismay, Emeryn has to repeat P3 for another semester as she failed the minimum criteria. It was definitely the saddest day for both mummy and Emeryn.

Wed was a public holiday, Malaysia's Independence Day. Thou it was a public holiday, Emeryn was having her replacement tuition in the morning. While Emeryn was at the tuition, mummy went to Tesco Popular and grabbed some revision books for Emeryn. Yes, mummy was still upset and swear to push Emeryn to excel further. After having our lunch at home, mummy started to get Emeryn to do some of the workbooks. Since it was a day off for us, mummy also wanted Emeryn to enjoy the day. Mummy brought Emeryn to her favorite hang out place, the beach. Mummy's friend tagged along with us. As usual we drove to Teluk Kumbar and Emeryn had her fun time on the beach. We don't have many places to go nowadays as we are staying very far from town. So most of the time, we only opted to go to the beach instead. It started to drizzle after about 45mins we were there. So we quickly packed our stuff and walked into Khuntai to have our dinner there.

Mummy set an appointment for her car service at 12pm, Sat. Before going to the service centre, we bought lunch knowing it's gonna be a long wait at the Nissan centre. We had our lunch at the waiting area and mummy continued her photobook project on her notebook while waiting. We then collected the car at about 3.30pm and headed home. At home, Emeryn requested mummy to prepare the ingredients to do slime. Mummy hasn't hear a word about "slime" before and had no idea what it is. So, mummy googled up and found some ideas. Luckily we have some of the main ingredients and its substitute . Roughly we figured out how to do it. The end result wasn't what Emeryn has expected but still she had a good time trying on it. Later in the evening, we tried Nasi 7 Benua for dinner. It was our first time having it and the rice were quite special, with 7 different types of rice. Well, it was just another nasi kandar with different types of rice. After filling our tummies, we drove around the housing area to catch Pokemon. We also stumbled upon a Chinese finger puppets show while driving around. We stopped the car and went down to check on it. It doesn't excite us much so we left in just  10mins.

On Sun, we had a simple breakfast at home before heading out for a late lunch at Sunshine Square food court. After having our meal, mummy bought mooncakes for the daycare teachers as a gesture of goodwill for their effort and time spent on Emeryn. We then drove to the four faced Buddha to offer prayers and next proceeded to The Reclining Buddha. That place brought back a lot of old fond memories where mummy brought Emeryn before when she was probably 3 years old. Emeryn has revisited the photos and videos mummy took at The Reclining Buddha, thus she can remember the resemblance in the photo. We took some photo for the old times sake. Before going to Por Por's house, we dropped by at Esplanade as it was holding the Penang United Buddy Bears outdoor exhibition. 149 of the friendly bears will be standing on the Malaysian island of Penang as a symbol of tolerance and living together in peace until October 31. Thus, the 2 m tall statues add another attraction to Penang's Capital Georgetown, which was constituted UNESCO World Heritage in 2008. After the visit, we went to Por Por's house for our usual Sun visit.
