The Last CNY Week

lunch at CRC Taiwanese Restaurant

dinner at Khuntai

Chap Goh Meh celebration

Finally the last week of CNY ended and it's time to get back to our usual routine. Emeryn started school on Mon as well. Mummy bought Emeryn a new purse as she lost her first one a week before the CNY holiday. Routine started with BM tuition on Mon evening and Art Class on Sat morning. Last Fri mummy spent her evening at home with Emeryn; instead of going out for dinner and drinks with her friends. Mummy bought 3 dvds for Emeryn and she started her movie marathon right after her dinner.

We started Sat morning with Art Class and proceeded for lunch at CRC Taiwanese Restaurant. We had our lunch date with Aunty Mei and Florence. Aunty Mei gave Emeryn a roll-out black board with chalks. After lunch, we spent sometimes doing some writing and coloring with the kids and a bit of chit-chatting before leaving home. At about 5.30pm, mummy's friends gathered at our place and mummy drove all of them to Khuntai Thai Restaurant @ Teluk Kumbar for her monthly gathering. It was our first time there and the food was superb. At the dinner gathering, mummy and her friends exchanged Valentine's Day gift and mummy requested for a pair of high heels. It wasn't really a good day as mummy's car was having some over-heating problem again. Sigh... Mummy's lil' myvi is aging, it is now coming to 8years this Sept. Luckily we managed to pull over the whole journey and it didn't give further problem. After our dinner, we went over to Aunty Esther's place for a short gathering before heading home.

We started our Sun very late where mummy woke up almost at noon hour. We had a quick brunch at home and lazed around the whole afternoon. Emeryn continued with her movie marathon until we went over to Por Por's place at about 6pm. As usual, we had our dinner there and we decided to visit the Chap Goh Meh State Celebration @ Esplanade. To avoid the traffic jam, mummy suggested going on motorbike. It has been almost 8years ago since mummy rode on her motorbike and she was extra careful that nite riding it. It was fun to have Ah Kong and Por Por to join us on the road with their motorbike too. At the event, we witnessed the Baba Nyonya Costume Contest and some multicultural dances. The highlight of the event was tossing mandarin oranges into a “blessing pool”, in line with the age-old belief that it would net a good life partner. Emeryn requested for the oranges to join in the fun. Mummy purchased 2 oranges at RM3,which the profit would goes to the charity. We both threw the oranges to the sea and it was our first time doing it. There are many other performances lined up for the nite including spectacular fireworks at 11pm. The event also served some free food to the guest since it was an open house. Being the food-holic, Emeryn requested for her portion. We queued for the food and Emeryn had it all before we left.
