the family gathering
Last Fri was great granny's 1st death anniversary and all of us gathered together at the temple for the prayers except for Emeryn. Mummy took half day off in the morning session for the prayers. After dropping Emeryn at school, mummy went to Egate for her breakfast before heading to the temple. Mummy picked Emeryn & Flo from school and headed to Mc Donalds for lunch. Both the buddies enjoyed their meals and their playtime before going over to the daycare. We had our family dinner at Jade Blossom. The restaurant service was really bad and slow. After the dinner, we went to China House but left after 10minutes because we couldn't find the right spot to hang out. Finally we decided to chill out at Yeng Keng Hotel. It was a great family get together.
On Sat, Emeryn attended Art Class as usual and we bought lunch back home. After lunch, we went to Jenny's Cake House and ordered an Angry Bird's cake for Emeryn's 6th Birthday. After the ordering we had the infamous mee goreng at Bangkok Lane before heading home. Emeryn had her movie marathon while mummy kept herself busy with the Hong Kong photobook. Finally mummy submitted the photobook before we got ourselves ready for dinner. Our initial plan was to have hokkien mee but due to the terrible traffic jam, we settled ourselves at Sushi King, 1st Avenue since we are catching a show there as well. It was a quick dinner before we rushed to the cinema. We watched the movie entitled Motorway. Again it was the family outing and Carmen Ee Ee and her bf put out at our place.
As a host, Emeryn entertained them the next morning by waking up at 8am. We only had a light breakfast at home before heading out for another family lunch at Sri Sawadee. The food was cheap and delicious. After lunch, we dropped by at great granny's place and gave her a visit. She was recovering well after her cataract removal surgery. We dropped Toki Ee Ee home after the visit and headed over to QBM to shop for Emeryn's birthday gift. Mummy bought a toy baby and a fairy wings for Emeryn and she got herself a year supply of contact lenses. Recently Emeryn has been asking for a baby sister and the toy baby is a substitute. After all the shopping, we headed to Aunty Mei's place for a swim with Flo. Both the buddies enjoyed themselves so much at the pool. It has been a long time since they both get together. We had dinner with Toki Ee Ee, Por Por and Ah Kong at Teluk Bayan before sending Ee Ee off to the bus station.
