For the first time in Emeryn’s Primary School life, she is receiving an academic award. Both mummy and daddy attended the ceremony. It was another proud moment for mummy and Emeryn. The prize that Emeryn received was an Academic Improvement (Lonjakan Akademik). She has huge improvement compares to the earlier semester; especially on her Maths, from 56% she bounced to 96% making her the highest scorer in her class. She also scored the highest for Science, 82%. 

The event ended at about 11.30am and we went to LWE for mummy's eye check before heading to Gurney Paragon. Emeryn insisted mummy to bring her for movie. As a reward for her achievement, mummy agreed. We bought the ticket for Inside Out before going for lunch at Italiannies. We were too full after the lunch and proceeded with our movie date. We paid RM20 for the movie ticket and it allows us to have the whole cinema screening for only both of us. The movie was slightly “outdated” and the time we went was off peak, thus there are no other movie goers sharing the cinema with us. How lucky!!! After the movie, mummy went for a quick present hunting for her group gathering. After walking the whole complex, mummy bought a sling bag and clutch from H&M. Emeryn received RM10 voucher from her prize and we went to Tan Mark after leaving Gurney Paragon. Emeryn selected a Word Search book, an English activity book and a highlighter. Of course RM10 is insufficient for 3 items, and mummy paid the price different. On our way home, we dropped by at eWorld Gift and check if our parcel has arrived. We were indeed very lucky to have collected 6 parcels from our TaoBao order.

Wed, 16^th Sept was a public holiday. All Malaysian are celebrating Hari Malaysia. The bad haze has been around for almost 2 weeks, and still bothering us. Emeryn refused to go out for lunch and she suggested cooking porridge on her own. It was her first time cooking porridge on her own and she was extremely proud doing it 80% all by herself, including chopping the salted egg into small pieces. She has the whole pot of porridge all by herself. As for dinner, we went out to grab a quick hawker meals.

Emeryn went for a Mid Autumn Festival @ Melody Kindergarten along with Joel & Joey on Fri evening. Beena Kor Kor dropped Emeryn to mummy after event. Emeryn attended swimming class on Sat evening as usual and get ready for her swimming contest on the following week. After the practice, we went to TGIF for dinner again. We then dropped by at Sunshine Square to grab moon cakes on behalf of Toki Ee Ee and also for mummy's granny. 

On Sun morning, Emeryn woke up and got ready to cook her own breakfast. She took out the eggs and sausages before mummy woke up. When she tries to break the egg into a small bowl, she accidentally break it half and it drop on the floor instead. She then fry the egg and sausage and finally enjoy it on her own. Emeryn attended Art Class as usual and we then went over to Tesco along with Por Por and later check out some baby stuffs for Theng Ee Ee. After running around, we went back to Por Por's house for dinner before going home.

Emeryn was exempted from school on Mon; to give way for the UPSR exam. Thus, mummy took leave on Mon to take care of Emeryn, also to clear her outstanding leave balance. We went to Neway Karaoke for the K-Lunch at 11.15am. The session includes a set lunch and drinks. It was our first time going to karaoke only the both of us. Emeryn was the one who sings the most. Mummy left  Emeryn alone in the karaoke room where she quickly went and grab a laptop backpack for Toki Ee Ee. We left Neway after 3hours and went to Por Por’s place to pick Toki Ee Ee to airport. She was leaving back to China. We grabbed a quick drinks at Kaffa with Ee Ee since there was ample time before she boarded. 

We then headed home and waited for mummy’s friend to pick us to our next destination. Emeryn wanted to go to the beach at Teluk Kumbar again. It was a super sunny day when we reached Teluk Kumbar, so we detoured to Balik Pulau. The infamous Balik Pulau Laksa is closed. So we opted for laksa at the shop opposite our initial venue. Nevertheless it was still a yummy meal. We ordered both asam laksa and Siam laksa. We drove back to Teluk Kumbar again where we stopped at the beach beside Khuntai. Emeryn happily enjoyed the sea breeze, collecting sea shells and catching small crabs. Though the day was quite humid, she braved it all for her love to the sea. We left at about 6pm and decided to go to Teluk Bahang. It was a half day Penang Island tour kinda thingy. Going through the winding road, Emeryn fell asleep out of tiredness. After a long scenic drive, we pulled over for dinner. We had western food at Tanjung Tokong before heading home. That was a long day for us.

On Thurs, we had dinner at TGIF after school. It was a complimentary meal from mummy’s company. Mummy gotten a RM200 dining voucher for her 10Years Long Service Award. Mummy went for her facial appointment on Sat morning and brought Emeryn along. After her facial, we bought some fruits along the road side. We then had chicken rice and chai boey for lunch. We both enjoyed chai boey very much and decided to buy some for dinner. Chai boey was mummy’s childhood favourite food. On our way home, we stopped at the library. Emeryn selected 5 books for her reading at home. That evening, swimming class was cancelled for maintenance purpose. Mummy cooked rice and simply fried an egg with tomato to serve along with the chai boey for dinner. That simple dinner make us both satisfied. 

On Sun, we had lunch at You Yuen Fen food court before heading to Art Class. The food court is offering RM2 promotion for all orders. Emeryn had char koay teow and mummy had jawa mee. While Emeryn was at the Art Class, mummy went to Por Por’s house where she went online and submitted our Korea photobook. Mummy picked Emeryn from Art Class at 4pm and went back to Por Por’s house for our usual Sun visit and had our dinner there before going home.

On Fri evening after work, mummy went to the home fair @ sPice to help Theng Ee Ee to purchase some of her electrical items. Mummy bought hood, hob and oven on Theng Ee Ee's behalf. Mummy went for a quick dinner before fetching Emeryn home from Pekaka.

Last weekend was packed with activities after activities since Toki Ee Ee and Sherine Ee Ee were back from China & Japan. This round, Sherine Ee Ee brought home her bf, Will to introduce to the family. On Sat, we gathered at Esplanade to savor the famous Mee Soto. While waiting for the lunch to be served, Emeryn enjoyed herself at the playground. After filling up our tummies, we walked to Swettenham Pier where we boarded the Logos Hope ship where they are having the book fair. It is the world's largest floating book fair. The book fair onboard the Logos Hope offers an extensive variety of genres and focus on Christianity books. We only managed to have a quick look and left without buying any books. We then walked back to our cars and went to Sekeping Victoria for some drinks. We were astonished by the rustic interior design, it was an eye-opening experience especially for Will. Guests can relax and calm their minds amidst trees in this artsy space.We as a family shoot a lot of nice photos over there. We left at about 5pm, leaving back to our own homes before meeting up for dinner later.

We drove back for a quick rest and bath before Ah Kong, Por Por and Toki Ee Ee fetched Uncle Lin Chun from airport. He flew from Singapore to join us. They parked their car at FV and mummy drove all of us to Tambun. It was Por Por's dinner treat for making some extra money. We ordered a lot of dishes and feast like there's no tomorrow. We left Tambun near to 10pm and headed home straight. The rest of them continued the gathering at downtown over some drinks. Emeryn slept almost immediately upon reaching home as she was having stomachache.

The next day, we had another lunch treat by Toki & Sherine Ee Ee. They both treated us to a  luxurious lunch at Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion as a celebration where both of them successfully sold their Vertiq. Before and after the lunch, we snapped a lot of photos at the beautiful place. To our surprise, Ah Kong saw the trishaw displayed outside the mansion which was rode by his father, which is also mummy's grandfather. We then brought Will to sample some local durian at the roadside stall and had some coconut drink. Mummy then excused herself and Emeryn as Emeryn has to attend her Art Class which we had scheduled to 4pm. Mummy went over to Mr DIY to kill her time while Emeryn was at the class. After the class we headed to Super Tanker for dinner before biding Uncle Lin Chun farewell as he was flying off to Singapore. We then drove home after dinner and spent our nite watching our tvb series.

Last weekend was the Merdeka long weekend. Carmen Ee Ee drove back to Penang to spend her weekend. Whenever they are back to Penang, we will surely organize family outing. After swimming class, we headed to Good All Cafe for dinner with Por Por, Ah Kong, Carmen Ee Ee and her family. We then continued our family gathering at Monkey Cup Coffee. Mummy's cousin bro, Michael and his family join us for coffee. Emeryn excitedly looking forward to welcome Wei Wei that evening. Later Theng Ee Ee & her hub dropped by a little while and we ended our nite after 11pm.

As usual, Emeryn attended her Art Class on Sun. After the class we drove to Youth Park as Emeryn requested to catch some fishes. Little that we know, Youth Park was sort of renovated and we couldn't even dipped our feet onto the running water. Other kids were seen playing in the public pool. Emeryn then spent her time at the playground trying out the newly installed  equipment. Por Por and Ah Kong came over, bringing some porridge for Emeryn and they then jogged around the park. Carmen Ee Ee & family joined us as well, bringing Shiro & Wei Wei along. Again we had dinner together at Good All Cafe @ Tanjung Tokong before going home separately.

The next day, Mon was Merdaka Day. We went to Giant for grocery shopping and mummy cooked grilled salmon and mushroom for our late lunch. At about 5pm, mummy drove Emeryn to Teluk Kumbar seaside, cutting through Khun Tai. Emeryn brought along her beach toys and played at the beach side. She even dipped her feet into the sea water and collected some sea shells. We went home at about 6.45pm and bought dinner home. After dinner, we spent our evening watching tvb series.
