How Can I Not LOVE Her?

She drew all these for mummy during the holiday at daycare. She wanted to give me a necklace and a lollipop. I wonder why she always wanted to give me a necklace where she ever said that during Mother's Day too. The small little gift on the drawing contains an ipad which she wanted to give to me as a gift too. How sweet!!! And each time I melted seeing all these small gestures from her. I'm keeping all these drawings of hers and I think I possibly may weep 10 or 20years down the road seeing these again.

@ Flamingo Hotel

On Tues after school we went over to Por Por's place as she needed to sign her new insurance policy. We bought dinner and ate while waiting for the insurance agent to reach. We leave as soon as the whole policy was duly signed. Emeryn went for her 1st study trip on Wed. They visited the goat farm & stepping stone work centre where they watched demonstrations on baking, hand weaving, yarn dyeing and batik printing. After the study visit, mummy went over to the daycare and brought Emeryn to the nearby clinic to treat her ear inflammation.

While on Thurs, mummy took half day leave and went to the school to collect Emeryn's report card. She didn't do well in her exam, as expected. Worst, she got a D for her BM. Mummy had a long chat with Ms Lee and tried to get suggestion on how Emeryn can improve. Mummy went over to Prai after that, to spent the rest of the afternoon. Mummy bought a Bahasa Melayu book for Beginner as she was worried about Emeryn's studies. She is attending Sekolah Kebangsaan on next year and she badly needs to polish up her BM. After school Uncle Dragon picked Emeryn and Flo from daycare before they went over to Aunty Mei's place where she drove all of them to Prai. All of us headed for Aunty Lisa's farewell along with the BBBG. Aunty Lisa cooked us few really yummy dishes and we spent about 2.5hours before leaving. Both the lil' ones enjoyed themselves with the ipad and chasing after each other.

On Fri, we had our buffet dinner at Flamingo Hotel, a birthday treat from Chelvin. We arrived early and sat by the pool and watched the kids at the baby pool. Emeryn wanted to go down for a swim but mummy rejected her request as we are not prepared for it. As usual Emeryn attended art class on Sat morning and we bought porridge home for Emeryn's lunch. Later at about 4pm, we drove to New Lane for the infamous "chee cheong chok" (pig intestine's congee). Mummy ordered her fav chicken feet and Emeryn savored it too. After the meal, Emeryn requested for durian. We made a pit stop at the Jelutong Market to get the durian. Later at 9pm we went out to grab mummy's tvb series in dvd and came back watching it.

We woke up early on Sun as mummy have her massage appointment at Anggerik Spa, Giant at 10am. After the massage, we head over for lunch at Sunshine Market before going home to watch the tvb series. We then went to Irenna where mummy did her hair treatment. Mummy fulfilled Emeryn's wish by bringing her for a swim at Flamingo Hotel. Emeryn tried so hard to convince mummy that she could swim but she can't. We had our dinner at Tesco @ Tanjung Pinang before going over to Por Por's to return Theng Ee Ee her ipad.

How cheeky???

My 6years old was undeniably to smart for her age. Last week mummy bought her a new book to fill up her 2 weeks holiday. Lil' cheeky amazingly impressed me when she showed me the completed page. Mummy told her to complete the whole page before moving on to another page but unfortunately she can't find all of them. Instead, she drew those pictures that she couldn't find on the empty space and colored them, imitating that she found all those. How cheeky!!!

On Wed nite, mummy supposed to have dinner with her friend and planned to sent Emeryn to Por Por's house and pick her up after her dinner. Mummy brought Emeryn to McD @ Greenlane for dinner before calling Por Por. Unfortunately Por Por was still at work, so mummy decided to bring Emeryn for dinner. It rained heavily on that evening, so mummy and her friend decided to dine in a mall instead of going elsewhere. We went to 1st Avenue and we gave Emeryn the privilege to choose where to eat. She chose Sakae Sushi and offered herself to help us placing the order via the IT gadget provided.

While on Fri nite, it was BBQ nite with the BBBG again. Friday is all about BBBG, foodie nite, good meals and booze. Uncle Sunny has long hard sell his homemade burger and finally the gang decided to give him an opportunity to show off. The bbq nite was held at Bossa Vino and this time around Emeryn tagged along. Uncle Sunny's burger was a hit and he did not disappoint us. Too bad that Flo didn't make it. Emeryn ended up playing alone but nevertheless she behaved unbelievably well on Fri nite. Later the nite, it was also Salsa nite at Bossa Vino and Emeryn enjoyed watching those salsa dancer. We also bumped into Theng Ee Ee there as well. We left at 11.30pm.

Emeryn attended Art Class as usual in the morning and we had lunch before heading for mummy's facial again. Mummy signed a package of RM4560 at the facial shop but after much consideration, she cancelled the package. We spent the rest of the afternoon at home.

We went to Lim Skin Specialist for mummy's back acne on Sun morning. It took us almost 2hours there before we went for our lunch at the infamous chicken rice at Tg Tokong. After our lunch, we dropped by at the facial shop to cancel mummy's transaction. As requested by Emeryn, we head over to the Toy Library after long not visiting it. We reached at 2pm and spend the first 40mins reading some books before adjourned to the toys segment. A revisit to the children library is refreshing, as in refreshing our lazy minds. We then headed to Por Por's house for our usual Sun visit and had dinner before going home.

Last Fri again Emeryn spent another nite as Por Por's place as mummy escaped for her Friday with the BBBG (big boys big girls). As usual Emeryn was a little hesitate to stay over but ended she would gave in.

The next morning, mummy picked her about 8.30am after she had breakfast at Por Por's. She has a habit of waking up early whenever she stays over. She woke up at 5am and requested to switched on the astro where she watched her fav channel. She followed Ah Kong out to fetched Toki Ee Ee at the jetty. Toki Ee Ee is coming back for Mother's Day celebration. We went home after mummy had some light breakfast there before sending Emeryn to Art Class. The rest of the afternoon we spent at home and took an afternoon nap. Our original plan for Mother's Day dinner was supposed to be at Tambun Seafood. We (the Mah's family) canceled it and changed to steamboat at Nagore Road. It was fun having dinner with a huge group. After the steamboat we went for a mid nite show at First Avenue filming Ghost Buddies at 11.30pm. Mummy was obviously too tired and she felt asleep for a while. We went home right after the movie.

We woke up a lil' late for Sunday where we have an appointment at the hair salon at 11.30am for a hairdo for both mummy and Emeryn. We are attending the Straits Quay Mother-Child Look Alike Bonding Session. We both selected curly hair as the theme. Emeryn absolutely enjoyed the hairdo session. On our way home, we bought chicken rice for lunch and rushed home to for the final make up and dressed up before heading out to Straits Quay. We reached SQ as 2pm and registered at the customer service counter. The venue of the event was a big let down. It was held outdoor and many of us sweated crazily under the hot sun. It wasn't a bonding session as expected. Each child contestant have to deliver a message to the mommy or do a performance. We went there unprepared but some contestant was fully prepared with their performance. On ad-hoc basis, Emeryn sang "Once I Caught A Fish Alive" and she said "I Love You, Mummy" as the message. It was good enough that she could sang bravely without preparation. We did not managed to grab any prizes but brought home some goodie pack and a pillow. After the event, we walked awhile at the flea market and proceed to the kid's booth. Emeryn requested for a face painting of RM5, which it would goes to the charity fund. After the face painting, Emeryn did a coloring from the Art School. She also wrote a Mother's Day message on a given card and they stick it on the board. Before going home, we went to look for Emeryn's masterpiece which was displayed at SQ.

After all those activities, we drove to Old Town at New World Park for our late lunch. We then dropped by at Por Por's house after our meal. That particular evening, we skipped dinner. Again Emeryn brought Theng Ee Ee's ipad home.

Happy Labour Day & Happy Wesak Day

On Mon nite, mummy sent Emeryn to Por Por's house while she went for happy hour in view of the public holiday on the next day. The happy hours ended with a late nite outing at the new pub at downtown. It was 12am when mummy picked Emeryn from Por Por's place and she was asleep. It was Labour Day on Tues and we went out to Kopitan @ USM for lunch. Theng Ee Ee borrowed her ipad 2 to Emeryn and we promised to return her on Sunday. Emeryn got very excited with the loaned gadget and keep on playing it non-stop.

Mummy brought Emeryn to Mc D @ Greenlane after picking her from day care for our dinner. We bought Happy Meals after Emeryn wanted the Barbie Doll. Emeryn spent a nite at Pekaka on Fri as she wanted to play with Joel & Joey. While mummy is having her own time since her princess is away, she went out for another drinking session. The next morning, Ah Ma brought Emeryn to the market and Tesco, then spent time at home before mummy picked her up at 3.30pm. We watched our tvb series at home before our late afternoon nap. We woke up at 9pm after sleeping for 3hours. We then headed out to get our fav nasi lemak Liverpool. We were forced to eat at home instead before that place was overly crowded with its fan since they are playing the live soccer match. After the meal, Emeryn continued her sleep again.

Sun morning, Emeryn woke up early after long hours of sleep. As soon as she woke up, she grabbed the ipad and start blasting music so loud followed by her own dance move. We then headed out to grab our breakfast before going over to Tesco as mummy needed a new mouse for her notebook. Later in the afternoon, we went out to the playground at Esplanade. Mummy brought along her camera but unfortunately the battery was running low and we can't snap any photo. Mummy drove around town to search for money changer. She is exchanging for Korea Won for her trip on Aug. After the play time, we headed to Por Por's place for our usual Sun dinner.

Mummy bought a foot scrub and foot cream from Phuket and on Mon nite, mummy gave Emeryn a so-called foot spa. Lil' cheeky doesn't seem to enjoy soaking her lil' feet into the hot water but enjoy the foot massage. Mummy also gave her an express body massage before we stick the stickers into her sticker book. We ended the nite with a bed time story.

Mummy has gotten her tax refund on Tues and we went to Sushi King for dinner. We had our very simple dinner on Wed, where mummy cooked porridge along with salted egg and century egg and best of all we bought tom yam soup. Emeryn attended Art Class on Thurs evening while mummy rushed for her monthly gathering at downtown.

As usual mummy went out for dinner & drinks on Fri nite, leaving Emeryn at Por Por's place before she picked her up again at 11pm. Usually, Emeryn would fell asleep by 11pm. We went to Melody, Bay Avenue as Emeryn participated in the Speech Master (Show & Tell & Rhyme Singing) contest after completing her 8 weeks SpeechMaster course. She did very well in Singing part but relatively bad in the Speaking part. Anyway, she completed her speech with the guidance of the coach. It was an experience gained but not bringing home any prizes.

We went to Giant to utilized the cash voucher that mummy redeemed from her credit card reward. It was time to stock up Emeryn's milk powder and we got a real great bargain. After the shopping, we went to the food court where Emeryn enjoyed the free kiddy rides and playing in the play park. We had our lunch at KFC before leaving home.

On Sun morning, we woke up earlier and mummy prepared Emeryn for Beena Kor Kor's wedding photo shoot. Mummy curled up Emeryn's long hair as per requested by her. Later in the afternoon, mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka and we headed to Prangin Mall. On our way to downtown, we dropped by at Por Por's place as Emeryn wanted to have the porridge. Por Por put it in the thermos and we brought home. Mummy had her fav tom yam maggie at Prangin Mall while Emeryn enjoyed the home cooked porridge. We shopped for a while before going home and again mummy never failed to grab something for herself. She got a dress for herself.

Mummy & Emeryn has come to a deal. Each time Emeryn scores perfect score on her Ejaan, Spelling & "Ting Xue", mummy will rewards her a piece of sticker. And she would collect and stick it on her sticker book. Emeryn is improving a lot since the last 2 months. She no longer needs hour and hour to read and memorize just few words. Now she probably needs 15-30mins to learn her spelling. Amazing!!!

Chit Chat

Lil' cheeky asked too many questions and I got a lil' "pek cek", then I spoke in a louder tone. She then innocently asked "Mummy, why do u need to talk to me so loud when I do nothing wrong?" After revision, I still need to finish 2 story books before her bed time. Oh, my!!! If only being a MOM is as simple as the three characters.
