 Mother's Day breakfast

Last week marked a new historic date for all Malaysian. It was the 14th General Election which falls on Wednesday. The school was off a day prior to the polling day in preparation for the classroom to be use for the voting. Emeryn attended full daycare on Tues while mummy was at work. The election day was announced as a public holiday for all. Mummy brought along Emeryn to the voting station located at SK Hamid Khan. We left home at about 10.30am and bumped into daddy while we were waiting in the queue. We were made to wait for at least an hour before it was mummy's turn to do her part as a proud Malaysian. Mummy told Emeryn that day would surely mark as a new history creation where we witness a new beginning, a new hope for all. Of course Emeryn was puzzled over mummy's statement. Emeryn proudly told mummy she wanted to cast her vote as well and mummy asked her to wait for another 2 more rounds where she would be an eligible voter. After leaving the school, we headed to eGate and had lunch at Tsuruya. Uncle Leonard came from home to join us for lunch. After lunch, mummy dropped Emeryn at tuition as the tuition was rescheduled to an earlier timing. While waiting for tuition, mummy went to Tesco with Uncle Leonard.

Mummy waited till 2am+ for the election result and yet we couldn't get a final confirmation. The next morning we woke up to a New Malaysia where Pakatan Harapan has won. The new government has announced two days PH in conjunction of their winning. We spent our Thurs at home doing revision for the upcoming mid term exam. Ah Kong & Por Por came over to our house for a visit, bringing along Baby Will. Emeryn brought him to the indoor nursery to play and they left in less than 2hours as Baby Will was having fever. Teacher Caline offered Emeryn a 4hours revision class on Fri to prepare for her exam. After picking Emeryn from daycare, Uncle Leonard drove us for lunch. After the lunch, both kids requested to go to Jdog as we were at the same area. We bought a Fave voucher on the spot and the kids went in for the dog petting. The kids were too full that they can't consume the meal there, so we asked for a take away. We went home at about 3pm+, had a quick refreshment before mummy insisted Emeryn to continue her revision. Later in the evening, mummy prepared dinner and had Uncle Leonard & Karise joining us. That nite they stayed over at our place.

As for Sat, mummy reheat the leftover soup and cook some rice for Emeryn before buying her lunch later in the afternoon. We then spent the afternoon at home revising together until evening. Uncle Leonard drove all of us out for dinner and we went to Uncle Lanz Nasi Lemak, one of the so-called must try nasi lemak in Penang. After the sumptuous meal, we went to Sunshine Square for a walk before going home.

The next morning, Emeryn surprised mummy with a wake up call. As soon as mummy stepped into the living hall, she served mummy with her favorite white coffee, albeit a little warm followed by a Milo crunch filled with milk and lastly cut banana topped with honey. She said she had accidentally cut her skin while cutting the banana. Poor girl :( School was closed for almost a week, thus she couldn't grab any gift for Mother's Day like what she used to do on every year without fail. That was a simple yet meaningful Mother's Day for mummy. Later mummy bought her lunch before sending her to tuition. Mummy then went to Por Por's house for lunch and guided Ah Kong on Hong Kong itinerary. Mummy also brought back Por Por's home cooked for dinner. After tuition, Emeryn went for a swim nad later had a last minutes refresher before going to bed. Mummy and Uncle Leonard went to Starbucks for a quick drink thereafter.
