Old Folks Home

The whole week was about old folks home, old folks home and just old folks home. Mummy and Emeryn went there on Mon, Thurs, Sat and Sun. For the first few nites, ah chor was really struggling to adapt to the new place. She made lot of fuss, screaming and etc. Worst thing, she crawled on the floor for 3 times on Wed mid nite and asked someone to bring her home. It sadden mummy a lot seeing ah chor with bruises and started talking non-sense. At certain point of times, ah chor couldn't recall much but at another point she was perfectly fine.

On Sat morning, we went to the temple for Pekaka's ah chor's prayers. After the prayers, mummy dropped Emeryn at Pekaka while she left to Mayfair for her slimming session. Mummy sent her car to the workshop after that as the car air-cond was making some funny noise. Then mummy drove chik chik's car and we visited ah chor before heading home. Emeryn took her late nap from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Mummy gotta woke her up as she needed to collect her car. After collecting her car, we had our late dinner at about 11pm, next to our apartment.

We are suppose to have our morning walk on Sun morning but it rained a few hours ago. Thus, mummy brought Emeryn to Mc Donalds for breakfast. We headed home for Emeryn's homework after breakfast. After finishing her homework, Emeryn watched the new Walt Disney dvd while mummy busied herself with the house chores. It was a long Sun morning since we started it as early as 7.30am. Mummy and Emeryn took afternoon nap from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Mummy fried some nugget to be delivered to the old folks home. We went to visit por por and ah kong as usual and had our early dinner there. Before we left, we brought soup for ah chor. Mummy and Emeryn visited ah chor before heading home. Ah chor looked much better now.

It's a Sad Day

Last Sat noon, Emeryn tagged along with mummy to Lam Wah Ee for her yearly check up. We reached the hospital at about 11am. We had our brunch at the cafeteria after the registration. After our brunch, we went back to the clinic and being told by the nurse we can come back at 2pm as it was a long wait. Co-incidentally we met ah chor at the hospital as she was accompanying uncle for his post surgery check up. Knowing it's a long wait, mummy decided to drop a visit to ah chor's place. It was time for mummy to inform her that we are sending her to old folks home. It was a painful experience leaving her at the ofh. Mummy bought wan than mee on the way to ah chor's place. We stayed a lil' while before the nurse called mummy to be at the hospital.

After mummy's check up, we went home for Emeryn's afternoon nap. Later in the evening we brought ah chor out for dinner. It was like a family gathering. Mummy snapped some photo with ah chor for her keepsake.

On Sun, mummy drove to ofh at around 12.30pm where all of us gather to send ah chor in with heavy heart and teary eyes. After the registration, we settled her down at the ofh. We kept on persuade ah chor that this is a nice place and she would be well taken care of. Ah chor perhaps still cant picture herself staying in the ofh. Mummy made a move earlier and headed to tesco to run some errand and bought some biscuit, coffee and diapers for ah chor. After our grocery shopping, we went back to the ofh to pass all those stuff to ah chor. We stayed for another 30mins before leaving home. Ah chor kept on waving her hand to us while we left. Such a pity.

We went home for Emeryn's afternoon nap before meeting ee ee, ah kong and por por at Sg Nibong for dinner. After dinner, ah kong sent Toki Ee Ee off to the bus station where she was heading back to Singapore. After dinner, Emeryn insisted mummy to get her 2 disney dvds. We went home and Emeryn watched a short episode before calling it a day.

Coffee over Weekend

Last Wed, Emeryn tagged along with mummy to Pizza Hut, Tesco for her monthly gathering. Before the gathering we shopped at Tesco and mummy bought a lot of frozen food for the sausage nite on Thurs. Emeryn was making a fuss during the whole dinner, climbing up and down and walking here and there. Mummy got very agitated with her that evening.

On Thurs evening, mummy colleagues came over to our place for a gathering with the theme of "sausage nite". We had sausages, chicken drummets, hams, nuggets, burgers, fish fillets and crab fillets. Daddy came home and joined us for awhile and surprisingly he offered to mop the floor willingly. Haha. All of them went back around 9pm after playing some games and finishing the food.

Mummy drove to town on Sat to collect our holiday voucher. We went to Hwa Jing and Forever Travel and we braved the heavy rain. While on Sun noon, mummy brought Emeryn out for lunch at Noodle Station, Egate. Emeryn took her afternoon nap before we went out to Queensbay to meet aunty Mei and Florence for coffee at 5.30pm. We walked around with them before parting. Mummy bought Emeryn some clothes from Seeds. We left at about 9pm.

Visit to the Flea Market @ Upper Penang Road

Last Sun, mummy and Emeryn went for a morning walk at Bukit Dumbar before we head over for breakfast. We bought home breakfast for daddy on our way home. Later at about 10.40am, we went to the flea market at Upper Penang Road. It was our first visit there even they have been operating for almost a year. Daddy fetched us there and walked with us for about 30mins before he left to work. We met up with aunty Mei, Florence, uncle Faisal, aunty Meiling, and aunty Jane.

Emeryn spotted a face painting counter and she insisted to have her face paint. Without asking mummy's permission, she climb on the chair and sat there waiting for the aunty to paint for her. It was her first experience having a face paint and she kinda loves it. After our walk, we pulled over at Segafredo for a drink to quench our thirst. Aunty Lina's daughter, Sha Sha joined us later on. She is a year older than Emeryn and she was such a nice girl. After our short drink at Segafredo, we adjourned to Pappa Rich at Egate. We followed aunty Mei's car there. We had our lunch there before aunty MeiLing dropped us home. Before leaving, aunty Jane gave Emeryn and Florence her home-baked butter cake.

We went home for Emeryn's afternoon nap before daddy brought us out for dinner at Double Good.

Mummy compensated Emeryn on Wed for her birthday as mummy fell sick last week and didn't manage to bring Emeryn out as promised. Mummy took half day off in the afternoon and picked Emeryn straight from school. Our first stop was Dome, Gurney for our lunch. After lunch we went to MPH and bought some books and paper dress-up dolls. Emeryn did some reading at MPH as well and she was really excited browsing all the books there. Later we proceeded to Toy R Us and mummy bought her a shopping trolley. Before leaving Gurney, Emeryn played on the kiddy ride. This time around mummy allowed her to play a few rides as promised rather than limiting her to only one ride.

Emeryn started to get a lil' sleepy when we got the car and she fell asleep almost immediately upon going into the car. Mummy drove to Bt Feringghi and we decided to dine at sixty nine mansion, our first time there. It was early when we reached, thus we are the first customer of the evening. Mummy ordered tom yam spaghetti and orange juice for dinner. Emeryn loves the place a lot, where she could dip both of her legs into the pool, walk to the sandy beach and joke around with the waitress there. The ambiance was really nice and serene. We left at about 8.30pm and headed home right away. Instead of falling asleep, Emeryn requested mummy to assemble her new toy. She played with it for awhile before calling it a day.

We went over to aunty Su Ching's house for a swim along with Hui Ying, Ah Siang and You Ying. They played for only a short while before it started to rain. We went up to aunty Su Ching's house to change and stayed a while before heading for dinner at Ivory. After our dinner, we dropped by at the night market and bought some food home.

On Sun morning, mummy and Emeryn went for a morning walk at Bukit Dumbar. Again Emeryn got tired so easily with only walking & running for a round. She then refused to continue but keep pestering mummy to play with her at the playground instead. Mummy jogged for about 3-4rounds before she surrendered. Haha. It was a tiring morning with just a few rounds of jog. We went for breakfast after our morning walk. We went home for a shower before meeting aunty Mei, Florence, uncle Faisal and aunty MeiLing for early lunch at Pappa Rich again. After our lunch, we went home for Emeryn's nap before visiting por por and ah kong in the evening. We had our dinner at por por's house and later we went to Batu Feringghi as daddy needed to get something over there. It was too early for night market, thus we went to Park Royal Hotel for a walk while hoping to catch the sunset. We headed home right after daddy got his stuff done.

On Mon evening, mummy dropped Emeryn at por por's place as she needed to shop for Emeryn's birthday party at school. Mummy bought vitagen, chocolates, waffle, pudding, biscuits and etc. During Tues lunch hour, mummy bought some cute cartoon party pack from Kamdar to wrap all the goodies and to be distributed to Emeryn's school mate. Later in the evening, before going to music class, Emeryn helped mummy to pack all the party pack for the celebration on Thurs. Again daddy attended music class with us. Wed was a public holiday for Penang Heritage Day and Emeryn was off from school. Thus she stayed at Pekaka while mummy went to work. Daddy brought us to Mc Donalds @ Sunrise for a pre-birthday outing for Emeryn in the evening. We went to Jenny's cake house to collect Emeryn's birthday cake before going to Mc D. Emeryn played awhile there before we headed home.

Mummy sent Emeryn to school on Thurs morning and she went back home before meeting daddy at Emeryn's school at 10am. The whole celebration took place for about 45mins starting with birthday song from her class mate, cake cutting and then distributing the party pack. After finishing the cake, mummy snapped photo of Emeryn with her class mate. Emeryn cried when mummy left the school and mummy promised to fetch her at 2pm or so. Mummy went home and she started feeling unwell. Later she went to the clinic and confirmed she was down with fever. After seeing the doctor, mummy went to pick Emeryn. There gone the whole birthday outing which mummy planned earlier. Mummy was having a bad headache and she was so weak that she needed daddy to come home to look after Emeryn. Mummy slept through the whole afternoon until 10pm. She woke up and had half portion of the noodle before going over to Pekaka to pick Emeryn. Daddy sent Emeryn to Pekaka in the evening as he got tired of taking care of Emeryn.

On Fri evening, mummy left Emeryn at por por's place as she was out for a drinks with her friends. Mummy picked Emeryn at 11pm and we headed home. While on Sat, we went out at 12pm and meet up with ah kong, por por and mummy's uncle and aunty. Mummy drove all of them to several old folks homes to make a visit as they are sending mummy's granny to the home soon. The news of sending to the old folks home sadden mummy a lot and with this issue both mummy and daddy has a huge disagreement. After having all these, mummy went to Tesco and run some errand. We reached home about 4.15pm and Emeryn took a quick nap before heading to Aunty Su Ching's house warming. It was a real hectic day for mummy. Emeryn went into the pool and enjoyed herself with the slide before we went up to have our yummy dinner served by Aunty Su Ching's mom. Daddy came over later and join us. Emeryn was enjoyed herself a lot with Hui Ying, Ah Siang and You Ying around. We went home at about 9.30pm.

We had our Sun brunch at Paparich, Egate the new outlet. It was our first time there and meeting Aunty Mei, Flo, Aunty Mei Ling and Uncle Faisal. Both Emeryn and Flo exchange some chocolates over lunch. All of us went to Tesco after our lunch. Emeryn and Flo played several kiddy rides before going into Tesco. We went home after that for Emeryn's afternoon nap. Daddy brought us out for dinner at 6.30pm at New Lane. After our dinner, we dropped by at por por's place for a short visit. Daddy visited the doctor after that as he was having fever. We went home right after going to the clinic.
