Sun were the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year for 2010 and the year of Tiger roaring in. We woke early and get ourselves dressed up. Our first destination was great granny house at Paya Terubong. We had our brunch there before leaving to Pekaka. All Chinese New Year greetings were heard every now and then. Emeryn also greeted everyone “Gong Xi Fa Cai”. After staying for awhile at Pekaka, we went to Por Por’s place. We took a quick meal before leaving home for Emeryn’s afternoon nap. Later we went back to Por por’s house at about 8pm for another reunion dinner with mummy’s huge family which consists of relatives from KL and Ipoh. Daddy did not join us as he was having a headache. We went home at about 10.30pm and that was the end of the 1st day of CNY and Valentine’s Day.

We started our 2nd day of CNY rather late. We went to por por’s place at about 2pm. It was really crowded as everyone was there and we need to take turn just to have lunch. After our lunch we went home for a nap. In the evening daddy fetched us out for dinner but eventually most hawker stalls were closed. We ended having nasi kandar and tandoori chicken opposite QBM. After our dinner, we went for a movie 14 Blades along with ee ee, por por, ah kong and all mummy’s relatives. Mid nite struck when the movie ended, thus we headed home right away.

On the 3rd day of CNY, mummy had her 6th Form gathering at Mc Donalds, Green Lane at 10.30am. It was their yearly gathering since they left high school. Mummy brought along Emeryn and she behaved so well for the whole 2hours. Before leaving Emeryn played at the indoor playground. We went home before heading to por por’s house with daddy. We had a quick meal before daddy suggested us to go Gurney Plaza. We were caught in a traffic jam on our way to Gurney, thus we decided to head home instead since it was such a hot and humid day as well. Mummy and Emeryn took a nap while daddy went back to Pekaka to check on his work. Later in the evening, daddy drove us to Hainan Town for dinner. It was a yummy and inexpensive dinner with such a great ambience. We ordered curry tumis, ikan perut and spicy kacang botol. We went home after the dinner as the next day was a working day for mummy and a schooling day for Emeryn.

After work on Fri, mummy had another dinner gathering with her 6th form mates at Everyday Supreme Restaurant @ Red Rock Hotel. We ordered a few dishes and yee sang. We had the lou-sang session before starting with our dinner. While on Sat, Emeryn was down with mild fewer. We fetched por por and we went to great granny’s house for a cny visit. Emeryn refused to step in upon reaching and insisted to go home. She behaved strangely a few times prior to this visit. Ermm... strange... We went off to OFO after that and ended getting Emeryn a cap while mummy got herself a short skirt. Mummy bought home laksa as her lunch on the way back. Emeryn took her nap upon reaching home. Later in the evening, we had dinner with ah ma, ah kong, kor kor, chik chik, ah chim and Joel at Padang Brown before heading to Gurney Plaza. We went for a movie, All’s Well Ends Well. Before entering the cinema, daddy brought Emeryn to the entertainment zone were Emeryn played happily.

We went out for our brunch on Sun. After our brunch, daddy fetched us to QBM as he suggested going for another round of movie. We went for 72 Tenants of Prosperity. Wow, it was like a movie marathon as we went for 3 different movies on a same week. After the movie, we dropped daddy at Pekaka as he needed to catch up with his work while mummy and Emeryn went home for a nap. Emeryn was still down with fever on and off. Mummy fetched Emeryn to por por’s house for our usual Sun visit and had our dinner there. We stayed for awhile before leaving to Tesco to run some errands. Emeryn slept at about 11pm that night before daddy came and fetched us again to Pekaka for the "Ti - Kong" prayer. Right after the prayer, we brought Emeryn to the clinic as her fever has yet to subside.

We attended music class on Tues evening as usual but this time around, it was a lil’ unusual. There were only 3 students who turned up that evening. Emeryn tagged along for a sumptuous dinner at Miraku, G Hotel on Thurs with mummy and her colleagues. Before heading to Miraku, mummy along with Aunty Jenny and Aunty Revatay went to Comma to hunt for the best deal again. Aunty Revatay was so helpful as she helped to look after Emeryn while uncle Junior busied himself entertaining Emeryn and snapped lotsa photos for Emeryn. Surprisingly Emeryn was so sociable to everyone. The dinner was the team celebration of 2009 sales achievement and each of them were allocated a budget of RM100 for their meals. It was a real feast for all of them as everyone ordered to their maximum. Emeryn ate a lot that evening and ended the meal with ice cream as a desert. We left Miraku at about 10pm. She also impressed mummy by saying "I'm so full now. I cannot breathe already".

Sat was CNY eve. Mummy and Emeryn spent the morning at home while daddy went off for his work. We went over to Pekaka later in the afternoon for our lunch while waiting for daddy to finishes his work. Daddy drove us to por por’s house at about 4pm and we had our so-called separate reunion dinner before leaving. It was a very light meal. Tokkie ee ee brought home a friend from Berlin and Emeryn seemed to be rather uncomfortable with the guest. We stayed for a short while before adjourning to Pekaka for our 2nd round of dinner, the steamboat dinner. Daddy ate a little as a gesture of respect while mummy sat there accompanied him. After the dinner, we went to QBM as daddy needed to do his last minutes CNY shopping. He has yet to purchase any new attire for CNY celebration. Most of the shops were closed when we reached but luckily daddy managed to grab something for himself. Emeryn also did not miss out the chance to enjoy the kiddy rides. All thanks to the generous daddy.

Entering Year of Tiger 2010

CNY is just a week ahead. Many of us are busy with spring cleaning, last min shopping n etc. Last Mon mummy fetched Emeryn, ah ma, ah chim and Joel to the night market at por por’s place. It was massively crowded and Emeryn starting to make a fuss not long after walking around. Mummy got to carry half of the way and ultimately Emeryn fell asleep on mummy’s shoulder. Ah ma bought a pair of shoe for Emeryn and luckily mummy ended up got herself a pair of working dress. We only walked for an hour before we headed home. Por por and ah kong joined us as well.

Mummy and Emeryn attended music class on Tues evening as usual. Prior to attending music class we had our quick dinner at Old Town, Egate with uncle Jay. We then proceeded to visit Florence at LWE together with uncle Jay. Florence was admitted to LWE due to her earlier hand injury which causes subsequent trouble. Mummy and uncle Jay bought her 2 books from Borders as a gift and we are glad that Florence was ok.

On Wed, mummy drove Emeryn, Aunty Jenny, Hui Ying and Uncle Junior to Farlim night market hoping she would catch some great bargain. Again mummy ended up with a piece of top and we only stayed for an hour. Lately Emeryn is too lazy to walk on her own and demanded mummy to carry her around. Oh boy, she is now 15kg and mummy had a tough time carrying her. Poor mummy. Again mummy’s next destination was night market on Thur nite. But unfortunately it was raining when we reached por por’s place. There were only 3-4 stalls opened. We went home shortly with laksa, satay and dinner for daddy.

Mummy left Emeryn at Pekaka on Fri evening while she went out for dinner with her friend. After dinner mummy went to Terminal 1 for a few drinks and “lou sang” with her friends before fetching Emeryn at 11.15pm. Daddy went home with us the same night but left to work early the next morning. Both mummy and Emeryn lazed around before going out to Gurney Plaza at 12pm. Emeryn got herself 2 wipe-off cum jigsaw flash card book and 1 magical sticker books which come with 8 books redeemed via Wyeth redemption. Mummy got herself a really fantastic bargain at Comma boutique, crazy sale instead RM20 for 3pcs. Mummy ended up buying 9pcs of top. We had our late lunch at Mc Donalds before leaving. We pulled over at Pekaka for a short while before leaving home for Emeryn’s nap. We drove to Pekaka at about 6.30pm to fetch daddy and later we went to QBM. Initially mummy was planning to catch a movie but we were late upon reaching. So we just had our dinner at Johnny’s and went back. Daddy dropped mummy at the night market on our way back and finally she got what she desires, 2 legging pants.

The next morning we dropped daddy at Pekaka and fetched kakak back with us in order to help out with the spring cleaning. Daddy bought us nasi lemak for breakfast. At about 1.30pm mummy fetched Emeryn, kakak and ah ma to Gurney Plaza again as kakak wanted to grab some great offers like what mummy did a day ago. Ended up mummy can’t resist temptation and got herself 2 short skirts and another 3 tops. Wonderful??? Mummy dropped kakak back at Pekaka before we drove to por por’s place. Emeryn took her 30mins nap in the car. We had our early dinner there and stayed for about an hour or so before leaving home as Emeryn has yet to complete her school homework. We went home and Emeryn continued her homework with mummy’s guidance. The whole week was filled with night market, night market and night market. Haha.

Just Another Week

Emeryn tagged along with mummy to Teluk Kumbar for seafood dinner after work. It was uncle Charles’s treat. We reached there earlier along with aunty Jenny and Hui Ying. We had a stroll along the beach while waiting for others to arrive. Emeryn was very well behaved but eventually Hui Ying wasn’t quite comfortable as though she is not feeling well. It was a sumptuous dinner no doubt. On our way back after the dinner, we picked up uncle Junior as his car broke down.

Tues was music class as normal. On Wed, mummy went off from work at 4pm and fetched Emeryn from nursery. We headed to airport to pick Kakak and left Emeryn at Pekaka on Wed nite as she needs to catch an early flight the next day to KL for her Sales Convention. Mummy went to Tesco as she needed to buy some ingredients for her steamboat session on Fri with aunty Mei. She then went out for dinner with her friends at TGIF and went back to Pekaka at about 11.25pm but Emeryn was still wide awake. Thus, mummy fetched Emeryn home along with daddy. That particular night, mummy slept at 1.30am and woke up at 5.15am. Emeryn woke up early as well and daddy fetched her back to Pekaka before mummy left. Coincidentally daddy and ah kong need to travel to KL on the same day as mummy’s sales convention. So, ah ma and Emeryn tagged along with daddy and ah kong to KL. It was a day trip for all of us. After the whole tiring event, mummy reached Pekaka at about 10pm. Daddy fetched us home and bought dinner for mummy. Mummy bought a box of animal’s chocolate for Emeryn at the airport.

Mummy left Emeryn at por por’s place on Fri evening as she went for a steamboat party at aunty Cynzer’s place. Ah kong and por por brought Emeryn out for dinner and later to Mc Donalds while waiting for mummy to pick Emeryn home. They went there with motor bike and Emeryn no longer fear of it. We reached home at about 12am and Emeryn dozed off almost immediately.

Sat was a quiet day for us and it was Thaipusam. Mummy brought Emeryn to Lip Sin market and had our brunch there. Mummy bought a new Tupperware set for Emeryn. Mummy dropped Emeryn at Pekaka right after that as she rushed to Creative Math @ Sungai Ara to help out with an event. Mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka at about 6pm and we headed home then.

On Sun morning, mummy dropped her card at the skin clinic and we had fresh coconut drink before meeting ah kong and ah ma for brunch. After our brunch, mummy fetched Emeryn to the clinic and we ended leaving there at about 1.45pm after such a long wait. We went home for shower before mummy left Emeryn at por por’s place as mummy needed to go to the hair salon. Por por and ah kong brought Emeryn to Pacific Komtar for grocery shopping and later mummy joined them. Ah kong and por por left before us and we continued with our shopping. Mummy bought Emeryn a Beverly Hills polo tee and a pair of heels for herself and also some CNY goodies. Emeryn fell asleep in the car while on our way to por por’s place. Mummy took her dinner at por por’s house while Emeryn continued her sleep without being interrupted. We then headed home, with Emeryn still sleeping soundly.

1st Wedding Dinner of 2010

Our normal daily routine started on Wed where Emeryn attended her school and mummy went to work. The week seems to be a very short week for us when Sat arrived within just a blink of eyes. Mummy brought Emeryn to Lip Sin Market and she got herself a new top and Emeryn a pair of legging pants. We bought home lunch after the so-called shopping. Both of us took our afternoon nap together and woke up around 4.30pm. Not long after that we got ourselves readied for the wedding dinner. Emeryn choose her school-concert dress for that evening and mummy dressed her up nicely with a nice hairdo for her as well. She looked so beautiful and gorgeous in it.

Daddy fetched us at about 6.45pm and we picked aunty SuChing on our way to Paradise Sandy Beach for the said dinner. We reached at about 7.50pm but the dinner was served at 8.35pm after much awaited. Emeryn behaved very well at that nite and she collected a few boxes of cake as a token of souvenir provided by the hotel. We reached home at about 11.15pm, tired and sleepy. So we were off dozing on the bed very soon after reaching home.

While on Sun morning, mummy brought Emeryn to Jelutong market with the hope to catch some good bargain and also some last min CNY shopping. Ended up mummy got herself a formal dress and a tube. We bought home breakfast as daddy was still sleeping soundly. After our late breakfast at home, daddy fetched Emeryn to Pekaka leaving mummy alone at home. At about 2pm, mummy drove over to Pekaka and picked Emeryn up. We then fetched por por and Toki Ee Ee to Prangin Mall for shopping again. It was another 2hours + shopping for us. We proceeded to por por’s place for dinner after our shopping. Ee Ee bought a blonde wig from China for mummy. Haha. We stayed a lil’ while before going over to the nite market next to por por’s flat. Emeryn cried and insisted she want a burger. She was crying and begging so desperately for one. Mummy has no choice but to get one for her. We went home shortly and Emeryn fell asleep in the car while holding tightly on the burger. Ended up the burger was for mummy’s supper.

We started our journey to Malacca on Sat late night about 11.30pm. Daddy insisted we drive there on Sat nite instead of early Sun morning. We stopped a few times for a quick nap before continuing our journey. We finally reached Petaling Street, KL at about 9am. We had our breakfast there before heading to Malacca. We reached Malacca Paradise Village at around 11.30am but were not allowed to check-in until 1.30pm. We headed to Malacca town, the heritage area.

While Emeryn took a quick nap in the car, mummy went for a walk. Mummy bought some Malacca key chain for her colleagues and Emeryn’s school teachers. We had Baba Nyonya cuisines for lunch. After lunch, it was our city tour. We boarded a trishaw ride and went around its town. We visited a few places before we drove back to the resort. The resort was obviously empty and secluded with 2 rooms apartment reserved for us. All of us slept soundly upon checking in until early evening. We went to Jonker’s Street after taking our shower. We walked around the nite market before having our dinner. Mummy bought some earring and necklace. We tried several local cuisines there.

The next morning, we left the resort at about 9am and we had dim sum for breakfast. After breakfast we headed to A Famosa. It took us about an hour to reach. It was about 10.45am when we reached. We went to the water park. It was daddy’s first time joining us to the pool. We played on the slide and accompanied Emeryn on the kid’s park. Emeryn was absolutely enjoyed herself very much and she started to love daddy a lot more than before, it’s a father-daughter bonding for the two of them. Daddy dared not join mummy for the adult’s slide but mummy braved herself for the slide for once. We had our lunch there and continue with water park later on. We left at around 4pm and drove straight to the resort. We did not manage to go to the Cowboy Town as it only opens at 6pm. Again we took our nap upon reaching the resort as we were all too tired for other activities.

After our nap, we took our shower and went out for dinner. After dinner, we went to Jusco for a walk. Daddy brought Emeryn to the indoor playground and both of them played together while mummy shopped around. Emeryn insisted daddy to bring her to KFC later on and daddy bought her a chicky meal with a free Barbie watch. We went back to the resort after that.

The next day, we checked out at about 9pm and headed to KL as daddy needed to get his stuff done at Putrajaya. After that daddy visited his client at Subang Jaya. After his visit, we headed back to Penang and only managed to have our brunch at Tapah R&R. We had KFC over there. We dropped daddy at his Juru office at 4.30pm and we reached home at 5.30pm. Upon reaching home, mummy did some of her chores before we went out for dinner. We attended music class after our dinner. It was surely a tiring day for all of us having to rush here and there but it was definitely a great trip.
