Last week was the 1week school holiday and as usual mummy would plan for a short break around Malaysia. This round we spent a nite at Villa Sentosa, Taiping and another nite at Bukit Merah. Mummy & Uncle Leonard took a day off on Merdeka Eve to avoid the jam on the high way. We started our journey at about 8.15am using the 2nd Penang Bridge. Our first stop was the Larut Matang food court to fill our hungry rumbling tummies. Uncle Leonard's family were there too as they drove there earlier.

We drove to Villa Sentosa after having our late breakfast but we weren't allow to check in as we were too early. So both the kids quickly changed into their swimming suit and immediately immersed themselves into the stream. We are all geared up with fishing equipment, nets and small aquarium. The girls are only able to fish for like 30mins before the rain poured onto us. We have no choice but to get ourselves covered under the hut. We waited for almost an hour before the rain stopped. We then checked into the room and the kids insisted to continue to go outside. All of us changed into our swimsuit and went into the stream together. We managed to catch quite a number of small and medium fishes. The kids refused to stop though they were basically baked under the fierce sun. 

We finally managed to convince them to clean up before going out for a meal. We went back to Larut Matang food court for a meal as many of the eateries are still closed for business at that time. We headed back to Villa Sentosa and the kids continued the fun while Uncle Leonard took his afternoon nap. Later in the evening we drove out again to savor the hawker meal. Then we walked across the road to Taiping Mall to get after-sun gel as both the girls were badly sun burnt. We ended the nite quite early as we were all tired after the hard long day.

The next morning we woke up at about 7am and the girls wanted to go out to the stream again. Since we were running out of time, the request was rejected. After getting ready, we checked out at about 8.45am and went out for breakfast. After our breakfast we continued our journey to Bukit Merah Laketown. We reached there approximately at 10.30am and the rest of mummy's families were already there. After settling down, we walked to the ticketing booth and purchased our tickets.

First we went to the Ecopark and played the skycyclo. Our hands were so tired that we need to pedal on our own using our own hands as there wasn't any machine controlled mechanism. After the skycyclo, we visited the animal sanctuary. It wasn't too impressive as expected as there were limited animals and most of them are kept inside the cage or glass. Next, we went to the water park whereas Theng Ee Ee and her family, Ah Kong & Por Por and mummy's cousin bro, uncle and aunty went back to the hotel for a rest as they are traveling with young kids.

Both the girls enjoy the water park but Emeryn was too afraid to try on the bigger slide. After soaking in the water for at least 2 hours, we called it a stop and walked to the cafeteria for our late lunch. After the meal we continued  playing until the rest of the families joined us at the water park. We ended the water play at 6pm and walked back to our hotel. We took a quick refreshment and washed up before heading out for dinner. We drove all the way to Taiping again for dinner at the famous restaurant. It was a long wait as the restaurant as it was crowded. After finishing our meal, we can't wait to drive back to Bukit Merah. All we wanted to go is to sleep. As soon as we reached the hotel, we went to bed almost immediately.

The next morning we woke at about 7am+ and we went to the hotel restaurant for our buffet breakfast. After the breakfast we went back to the room to shower before checking out. We drove back to Penang while Ah Kong drove to Ipoh to meet up with the relative.

Emeryn attended her BM tuition on Sat afternoon and Cambridge on Sun as usual. Right after the class, we headed to Por Por's house for our usual Sun visit. We had our lunch there before going home. Later in the afternoon, Uncle Leonard drove us and Karise to downtown. We went to a cafe for early dinner to celebrate Karise's 9th Birthday. After the dinner, we went to Gurney Plaza as Uncle Leonard wanting to get Smiggle for Karise's birthday gift. At the same time, mummy bought a pencil case for Emeryn as her reward of getting 82% in her last Cambridge exam. We then headed home after getting the gift.

It was just another weekend gone without much happening. On Fri nite, Uncle Leonard and Karise came and stayed over nite at our place. Most of the Fridays, mummy and Uncle Leonard will cook dinner together, with both exploring some new recipe together. Last Fri we had spaghetti cabornara. After the dinner, mummy and Uncle Leonard baked cheesecake and waited till midnite to chill it in the fridge. Uncle Leonard bought mummy a Huawei P10 handphone for her upcoming birthday.

On Sat, Emeryn attended her BM tuition and Cambridge class on Sun morning. After the class we went over to Por Por's house for our Sun visit. After having our meal there, we brought Baby Will along to the playground behind Por Por's house. Mummy got her new toy tested by taking many photos of Emeryn & Baby Will together. We didn't managed to stay outdoor long as it was too sunny out there. We left Por Por's house at about 5.30pm and Emeryn went back home for a swim with Karise.

Emeryn has been staying with Ah Kong & Por Por since last Sat nite. On schooling day, Ah Ma will pick her from daycare back to Pekaka. Later in the evening, Ah Kong & Por Por will pick Emeryn from Pekaka back to their home. Ah Kong & Por Por sent her to school on Mon, Tues and Wed morning. Mummy finally touched down at the Penang airport on Wed nite approximately at 10pm. Prior to that, Ah Kong & Por Por sent Emeryn back to FV and Uncle Leonard help to look after Emeryn until mummy reached. Uncle Leonard then fetched Emeryn & Karise to the airport and sent mummy home.

Mummy got back to work on the next morning, Thurs. During her lunch hour, she went to the school to pick Emeryn and sent her to the daycare before going back to the office. Lately the transporter has made some new arrangement which the time does not suit Emeryn at all. By the time she reaches her daycare, it would be past 4pm and she don't have enough time to even finish her homework, let alone attending the tuition. So for these few months, mummy and Ah Ma will take turn fetching Emeryn from school.

On Fri, mummy prepared baked salmon and mashed potato for our dinner. The next morning mummy woke up really late at 11.50am and Uncle Leonard came over bringing his cooking ingredients and cooked lunch for us. He cooked a soup, stir fry mixed vege and fried egg. After a quick refreshment, mummy sent Emeryn to her BM tuition. She only attended 1 class, instead of 2 classes last Sat as she wanted to attend her classmate, Jasmine's birthday party. Mummy picked her and her classmate, Claymine and sent both of them to Jasmine's home at Farlim. While Emeryn was at the party, mummy spent 3.5hours at Coffee Element for dinner and doing some holiday research. 

Emeryn attended her Cambridge class as usual on Sun morning. Baby Will was admitted to Island Hospital for bad diarrhea. After Emeryn's class, we headed to Island Hospital to pay him a visit. We then went to Por Por's house for a quick lunch before bring lunch for Theng Ee Ee. Emeryn continued to wait at the hospital while mummy went to CRC to give moral support to Uncle Leonard for his badminton friendly match. Mummy went back to the hospital at about 4pm and send some time there before we left. In the evening, Emeryn went for a swim with Karise and we had our late dinner at home by bringing back Por Por's home cooked.

On Mon, Emeryn requested mummy to cook dinner and specially wanted to have the canned sardine fish. Out of no ingredient stocked up at home, mummy utilized all that we had in the fridge and came up with the most simplest dish to satisfy her princess's taste bud. While on Thurs, mummy picked Emeryn from school to her daycare to avoid her getting to the daycare late as she would be attending her Science tuition at 5.15pm. Before turning in to the daycare, she requested for a pack of nasi lemak and quickly swallowed it down before walking up to the daycare.

We waited for Uncle Leonard and Karise to come over on Fri evening to cook along with mummy. Before going home, mummy ordered pizza for the kids while waiting for dinner to be served. That evening we had tom yam spaghetti. It tasted so good that all of us licked it clean. After dinner the kids finished up their homework before watching a movie.

The next morning we let the kids prepare their own toast with ham & cheese and baked it. After baking the toast, Emeryn requested to have her egg & cheese which she fry it on her own. Later in the afternoon, Emeryn attended her BM tuition. After tuition, mummy drove her to Por Por's house. We brought dinner there as well. Emeryn stayed over at Por Por's place when mummy was away to Siem Reap. Before leaving, Emeryn hugged mummy and cried, asking mummy not to leave. She obviously missed mummy even before she left. Mummy left at about 8pm as she needs to be at the airport by 10pm. Later Emeryn called mummy and cried again. She finally settled down near to 11pm just moment before mummy's flight took off.

The whole of last week was filled with good food. On Fri evening after picking up Emeryn from daycare, she requested to drop by at Chew Thean Yang for a walk. After visiting this place, we headed over to Blackdoor for our dinner. To our surprise, the place was really dying. There hardly served more than 2 tables when we were there and the food quality has dropped since our last visit. After filling our tummies, we hang out for a little while as Emeryn occupied herself with her handphone. We left at about 8.45pm and mummy went over to the clinic as she was still having her sore throat despite trying to self-cure for few days earlier but to no avail.

On Sat, we both woke up late and hurried for mummy's monthly gathering. This time we went to Mellowcup Coffee, our first try. Emeryn got attracted by the cafe beside Mellowcup where it was more like a dog cafe. She walked over and peeped at the cafe several times, requesting mummy to bring her there some other time. After the lunch gathering, Emeryn attended her BM tuition. After the tuition, we went to 2F Coffee for another gathering. We hang out up to 11pm where Emeryn started to make noise and wanting to go home.

Emeryn attended Cambridge class on Sun morning. We brought home lunch after her class. By 3pm, we headed over to QBM as mummy wanted to grab some of her stuff. The short shopping landed us to also have a quick drink at Starbucks. After getting all errands done, we went to Por Por's house for our usual Sun visit. We had our meal there before leaving.
