Father's Day dinner

School has resumed as usual on Mon and the past week has been really routine. Emeryn has gotten really engrossed with her reading lately. Every Tues, she will quickly finish her meal during recess time and rush to the school library to borrow a book home. She will consistently read it every nite before her bed time. Mummy likes the fact that how her lil' girl enjoy reading that much.

On Fri, mummy took a day off from work and brought Emeryn back to LWE to follow up after her school ends. Her breath test result was out and she was tested positive for mild lactose intolerance. That is why she always complained of stomachaches not long after having her morning milk. After the follow up, mummy did the hospitalization bill refund and got a copy of the report before we headed out for late lunch with mummy's friend. It rains the whole afternoon. On the way home, we dropped by at Giant to run some errand and got Emeryn some soy milk instead.

We celebrated Father's Day for Ah Kong on Sat evening. We settled with just some simple dinner at Red Chopsticks after Theng Ee Ee off from work. Emeryn attended her Cambridge class on Sun and we headed over to Por Por's house after the class. Mummy started feeling unwell and we went home earlier. That nite mummy developed fever and sore throat came almost instantly. Mummy officially fell sick. :(

During the school holiday, Emeryn only joined one holiday program which was the Dodomon Projects. It is like a Science type of project where kids can doodle, colour & build their own paper circuit in just a few steps. Interestingly there is a circuit with multiple colour lights and Emeryn requested mummy to try out in our room with lights off. She was overwhelmed with her products.

The rest of the afternoon Emeryn spent her afternoon at Pekaka. Mummy took leave on Thurs & Fri, with the initial plan to clear her leave before it expires. Mummy then ended up bringing Emeryn to LWE and decided to proceed with further test to confirm the cause of Emeryn's frequent stomachache. We reach LWE before 10am and got Emeryn registered. Mummy walked out for a quick breakfast while Emeryn waited for her consultation. After the consultation, we proceeded with the admission process which took us almost an hour. Finally Emeryn was admitted to the Paediatric Ward at about 12.10pm. The first thing the nurse did was to take her blood specimen for blood test. The lunch serving was over once we were done, so Emeryn had her lunch at the kafeteria instead. After the lunch, another nurse came and informed us that they have to re-take Emeryn's blood as the earlier specimen has dried up. What a mistake from the hospital??? Emeryn starts to tear hearing it which causes her to endure another jab. My poor baby did very well thou.

Next test was the ultrasound. Daddy came visited Emeryn about 3pm and that allows mummy to go out for a quick late lunch. Daddy stayed for about 2 hours before leaving. Later in the evening, mummy went home for a quick refreshment leaving Emeryn alone in the hospital. Ah Kong & Por Por came to the hospital at about 8pm and accompanied her till about 9.45pm when mummy arrived. That nite at 12am, Emeryn was induced with drip as she has to fast before her breathe test on the next day. Mummy shared the same hospital bed with Emeryn. Eventually we both had a very disturbed sleep as the baby next to us was having bad cough and screaming the whole nite. Lesson learnt, always opt for a single room.

We basically woke up as early as 5am+. After Emeryn had her breakfast, mummy walked out from the hospital to have her breakfast too. At about 9.15am, Emeryn was brought to the lab for her breathe test. That test lasted us at least 4hours with the pathologist requesting a blow test from Emeryn every 15mins. After all the tests were done, Emeryn was allowed to have her lunch. Ah Ma brought Joel over to visit Emeryn at about 2pm and mummy drove home. Por Por came and take over the role to look after Emeryn at about 5pm+. Mummy went home for a short nap before driving back to the hospital at 6.45pm. Again mummy left Emeryn at the ward for a short while and she went out for dinner. After all, Emeryn really enjoyed her stay at the ward playing with much younger kids. We stayed for another nite before discharge from the hospital at 10am.

That afternoon we went for a durian feast at Balik Pulau with Carmen Ee Ee and her family. After having durians and mangosteen, Carmen Ee Ee & her mum came to our place to hang out. Later in the evening, we all gathered together along with Ah Kong, Por Por & Baby Will for a family dinner. After the dinner mummy sent Ah Kong & Por Por home as they have to take care of Baby Will. The rest of us then proceeded with our coffee chat at The Gardeners. We left at about 11pm, feeling sleepy.

Emeryn attended her Cambridge class on Sun. While Emeryn was at her class, mummy went to Giant to buy the food stuff for the coming week. We headed to Por Por's house after her class and Emeryn spent her lovely Sun playing with Baby Will.

School holiday for 2 weeks finally begins. Mummy took leave on Mon to bring Emeryn for a movie. Before heading to the cinema, mummy dropped her card at LWE as she was going back for a follow up. We then had a quick breakfast opposite LWE before driving to Gurney Paragon. Our movie, The Angry Birds starts at 11.30am. After the movie, we hang out for a short while before filling our tummies at TGIF. By 3.30pm we reached LWE and waited for at least an hour before mummy's consultation. Prior to all the waiting, mummy got very anxious and worried about her breast ultrasound result. Many negative thoughts had filled her mind over the weekend. Pheww, finally the doctor announced that the growth is benign but still need constant monitoring. What a relief!!!

For the rest of the weekday, Emeryn went to daycare in the morning and mummy sent her to Pekaka in the afternoon.  On Tues, Ah Ma sent her to tuition and later dropped her home in the evening. Sat was The Agung's Birthday and it was public holiday. We were still on our bed when Por Por called mummy at 10am, saying that she is heading to our home to pick Emeryn out. Mummy quickly wakes Emeryn up and get ready. Por Por and Ah Kong drove Emeryn to Theng Ee Ee's house to visit Baby Will before heading for their grocery shopping at Sunshine Square. After their shopping they had their lunch before sending Emeryn home. At the same time, mummy prepared lunch too.

In the evening, mummy dropped Emeryn at Por Por's house to stay a nite as mummy was going out for a drink with her friends. The next morning mummy went over to Por Por's house by 11am and we had lunch there before sending Emeryn to Cambridge English class. In the late afternoon, Emeryn went cycling at the retention pond beside FV and mummy jogged a lil' while catching up with Emeryn. After jog for 2-3 rounds, mummy halted while Emeryn continued her cycling. Unfortunately Emeryn fell off from her bicycle and injured herself slightly. She was a brave girl, enduring the pain without crying. We went home right after that for a shower before having our dinner cooked by Por Por.

After getting some cookie recipe from her colleague, mummy tried her first batch of cookie baking. Mummy baked butter cookies and butter cookies infused with oreo at late nite after settling Emeryn to the bed. The result turned out quite acceptable for a first timer.

Thou Emeryn's mid term exam results were quite upsetting, she still managed to get 80% for Sejarah. To encourage her to do better in general, mummy bought a set of Hello Kitty perfume & shower gel from Guardian. Emeryn was very happy receiving it from mummy.

On Sat morning, mummy dropped Emeryn at school for her karate class. She then drove to GH to enquire on mammogram screening before deciding to go to LWE. Few days earlier, mummy notices a small lump while doing her self breast examination. After registering at LWE, mummy went back to pick Emeryn from school before heading to LWE again. Emeryn had her lunch at LWE Kafeteria while waiting for mummy's doctor consultation. After having a breast ultrasound, we headed to the Food Fair & Baby Fair at Spice. In the evening, we dated aunty Jenny to the beach at Teluk Kumbar. Aunty Jenny and her sis went in 1 car and we drove our car. We weren't very lucky that day as we don't get many "siput". Perhaps it was a wrong spot or wrong timing. The kids hang out for a while before we called it off. That night Emeryn went with Aunty Jenny and put a nite with her while mummy went home alone. It was an impromptu sleep over for the kids. 

The next morning, mummy picked Emeryn from the kopitiam and then headed out for mummy's breakfast.We also bought lunch home, so that Emeryn can have her lunch before attending her Cambridge class. We went to Por Por's house after her class.
