Toki Ee Ee's Wedding @ Malacca

 Malacca City

the morning session

 @ the wedding dinner

On Sat morning, we flew to Malacca for Toki Ee Ee's wedding. It was our first experience with Malindo Air and there was a slight delay. Upon touching down, Uncle Lin Chun's sister picked us at the airport and we headed to the home stay. Ah Kong & Por Por met us there as they traveled to Malacca a day earlier than us. After checking in, we went out for lunch. Then we went back to the home stay and waited for the rest of our relatives to arrive.

Mummy's aunties, uncle and cousins arrived at about 4.30pm and we then headed to Jonker Street for dinner. After filling our tummies, we walked around the flea market in the evening. Emeryn tagged along with the old folks to return to the home stay earlier after the walk. Mummy and her cousins went for a drink and a brief catch up before deciding to end the nite with satay celup. It was about time for the Chinese customary ceremony and prayers when we reached the home stay. We slept late that nite and Theng Ee Ee and her hubby arrived Malacca at 3.30am.

The next morning was the tea ceremony. It started with some exciting games for the groom, his best man and his buddies. For lunch we headed to downtown and savored the famous chicken rice ball. It was a treat from Ah Kong. After lunch, we walked a bit at the historical city and snapped some photo before returning to the home stay.  At about 5pm, we drove to the hair academy for our hair styling in conjunction of the wedding dinner. All of us are in pretty dresses and glamorous hairstyle for the wedding dinner. Mummy's relatives left Malacca immediately after the dinner and we went back to the home stay.

The next morning, we went out for brunch and drove around before heading to the airport. We flew back to Penang at 3pm. At the end of the whole trip, it came into a disaster when we left our iPad at the Penang Airport's toilet. Mummy rushed back to the airport in search of our iPad but it was gone. Sigh!!!

Toki Ee Ee's Wedding @ E&O Hotel

 the garden reception

 @ the dinner

Toki Ee Ee's wedding in Penang was held at E&O Hotel on 22nd Mac 2015. A day before the wedding, mummy's relative from KL and Ipoh came to Penang and they stayed with us for 2 nites. On Sat evening, we had our family dinner at a hawker stall at Macalister Road. After the dinner, we went for coffee at Safe Room. We had a long chat and took some selfie at the coffee place before heading home at 11pm.

The next morning we had breakfast before visiting mummy's cousin bro at his new home. We went home about noon hour before getting ready to go to the hair salon. Mummy, Emeryn, Carmen & Sherine Ee Ee went to the same hair salon. Emeryn tagged along with Carmen Ee Ee after they are done with their hairdo as Emeryn needed to have a quick rehearsal for the wedding march.

The garden wedding reception started at 5pm and it was beautifully decorated. There are 5pairs of bridesmaids and a lil' flower girl, Emeryn. The wedding started with an exchange of wedding vow. It was such a touchable speech by the bride and groom and most of the guests has tear rolling down from their eyes. It was indeed a beautiful wedding. We had some photo shoot after the wedding reception. We then had a brief rest before the wedding dinner.

Outside the banquet hall, there was a photo booth set up and we could freely snap our photo and get it printed out on the spot. The dinner starts at about 8pm with a grand march in by the couple. The whole nite was filled with romantic slow dance, a duet sang by the newly wed, speeches by closed friends and of course the main limelight too. Uncle Lin Chun stood up and delivered the most touchable thank you speech specially tailored for his mum. He teared while saying it and the rest of the guests follow suit. It was one of the most memorable wedding mummy ever attend filled with genuine love, touchy moments and beautiful couple.

 1st Day of CNY

visit to the old folks home

movie day on 2nd Day of CNY

steamboat on 4th Day of CNY

After the hectic months has passed, we officially moved in on 12th Feb. The same day it coincides with mummy’s sales convention where she has to travel to KL for a day trip. Mummy walked away with the CEO Award again this year for her tremendous sales achievement. A nite before, mummy sent Emeryn to Por Por’s house where Ah Kong will send her to daycare the next morning and pick her after school. Ah Kong and Por Por picked mummy from the airport at about 8.15pm and we headed straight to our new home. We did some simple ritual of the house moving in. We stayed in on that same weekend before moving back to our old place.

There on, mummy slowly packed our stuff bits by bits and transferred them to our new home in preparation of staying in during CNY. School holiday started as early as 16th Feb for a week in conjunction with CNY whereas mummy worked till the CNY eve on 18th Feb, half day.

We had our reunion dinner at E&O, a complimentary dinner by Toki Ee Ee. It also serves as food tasting for her wedding dinner. The meal was undeniably sumptuous. It rains heavily just before we were about to leave. That nite we stayed at our new home.

This year CNY was a little quite compare to years before but yet we still find time for family bonding. On the first day of CNY, we went over to Por Por’s house for lunch before heading over to Ah Chor’s place. We stayed awhile before going back to Por Por’s house. We had dinner together with Carmen Ee Ee and her family before chilling out over coffee at Coffeesmith. Emeryn played her firecrackers too.

On the 2nd day of CNY, we visited the Old Folks Home. We brought along some cake, drinks and of course ang pows to be distributed to the old folks. It was really warm and nice gesture seeing the smile from the home’s residents. We had dinner together before catching up on a movie at 1st Avenue.

On the 4th day of CNY, we had steamboat at our new home. Por Por prepared many dishes for us. It was like a mini house warming to us. All of us went for a swim after the meal and continued eating after our swimming session. They left at home 10.15pm and Emeryn followed Ah Kong & Por Por home as mummy got to work on the next day.

Busy, busy, busy!!!

It has been a tremendous busy time for mummy for the last 2 months. She kept herself occupied all the time with our new home. Almost every lunch hour during weekday, she would popped out to FV to check on the progress and moving our stuff bits by bits every day. We are not engaging a mover, thus mummy has to deal with it on her on. Moving house is a super stressful moment. We spent every weekend there cleaning the aftermath and re-organizing our stuff.

Mummy did everything on her own, from diy-ing the wash basin cabinet to assembling a rack which is higher than her to tinting the window. By now, beginning of Feb, our new home is on the final stage of completion. We are now waiting for some touch up on the furniture, wiring work, curtain and wallpaper. And we are off into moving in. We have selected 12th Feb as the date of moving in.

Hang on for the betterment!!!

Girl's Sleepover

 before bed time

  @ Mc Cafe

@ the library

On 1st Jan 2015, we went swimming with Hui Ying & Ah Siang. Very unfortunate, Ah Siang was hit by another boy while sliding down the slides and he had a severe headache. That night he was hospitalized. The next day after mummy went off from work, we visited Ah Siang at LWE and thank goodness he looks as active as before. We then headed for dinner with Aunty Jenny and the rest. That evening, Hui Ying went home with us and it was the girl's sleepover. It wasn't a planned sleepover, just ad-hoc. That nite the girls watched movie, played games and had some chit-chatting before ending their night at about 11.15pm.

The next morning three of us went for breakfast before hitting the library. To our dismay it was closed since it was a public holiday, which mummy wasn't aware of it. We then drove to Mc Donalds and the girls played awhile before we sent Hui Ying back to her mummy at LWE. We then drove home and spent the rest of the day at home.
