 Emeryn & Lucas

our new photo frame

the new schoolbag &art stationaries

Mummy was too tide up with her stuff and bad incident happened on Emeryn (will write in the next post), thus this blog post has delayed. One day Emeryn came home and told mummy that almost all her classmate was punished by the BM teacher for not able to read. She was among the few ones who can read and the teacher praised her. She was a happy camper that day.

Emeryn attended Art Class as usual on Sat while mummy went to downtown to make a new spectacles for herself, bought a new school bag for Emeryn and some art class stationaries. After Art Class, we rushed home for lunch and shower before mummy sent Emeryn to school. It was a replacement class for CNY holiday. Mummy spent her me-time going to the hair salon and permed her hair and also to collect the poster photo frame. After school ended, we drove ah kong and por por for dinner along with us.

We spent our Sun at home until early evening. We went to Bukit Dumbar park as mummy has promised Emeryn a playground time on Sun before going over to Por Por's place. We spent about 1.5hour there with mummy busy snapping Emeryn's photo. After the play time, we headed over to Por Por's place for dinner. Theng Ee Ee's friend came visit with her baby boy. Emeryn was so fascinated with the baby, carrying him and playing with him and even refused to go home.

Qian Qing's Fullmoon Party

Happy Fullmoon

@ toy library

Mummy has got her annual biz travel to KL but this time she needs to stay overnight. Unfortunately Ah Ma is traveling to Guilin at the same time, thus she won't be able to take care of Emeryn when mummy was away. Por Por and Ah Kong were mummy's last resort. On Tues after school, we went home for dinner, shower and homework guidance before mummy sent Emeryn over to Por Por's place. Emeryn was upset to stay apart from mummy. Before leaving, mummy repeated brief Por Por and Ah Kong on what to do, where to drop and fetch Emeryn and etc. Mummy was feeling like a first time mum leaving her newborn baby to the babysitter. Emeryn dropped her tears before mummy left Por Por's house and kept on calling and waving from the flat 7th floor. Arghhh, the separation anxiety!!!

On Wed morning, Emeryn requested Ah Kong to sent her to daycare by motorbike instead of car. She loves the "windy" moment riding on the motorbike. Theng Ee Ee picked her from school and went back for a shower before all of them headed out for dinner. Theng Ee Ee guided Emeryn on her homework too. The next morning, Ah Kong fetched Por Por to work before dropping Emeryn at the daycare. Ah Kong and Por Por went to the school in the evening to pick her after school and went out for dinner. Mummy flew back on Thursday evening itself and Ah Kong sent Emeryn home. Upon reaching home even though drop dead tired, mummy checked Emeryn's homework before going to bed.

Our routine went back to usual on Fri. In the evening we went to Qian Qing's full moon party along with Aunty Su Ching and You Ying. Emeryn was tremendously cheeky that night and kept disturbing You Ying. She was so happy meeting Qian Ying and the babysitter allowed Emeryn to carry the tiny friend. She was with all smiles carrying QQ. We left Uncle Charles's home at about 9.30pm and headed home.

Emeryn attended Art Class on Sat morning. Beena Kor Kor brought Emeryn to her home after we had lunch. That gave mummy some me-time. Emeryn came home at about 8pm after having dinner with Beena Kor Kor.

We started our Sun slightly earlier compare to our usual Sun. We went out for breakfast before heading to the Toy Library. After having sufficient play time, we went upstairs and hunt for some good books to bring home. We left at about 12.30pm and went home for a rest. We went to Por Por's house at about 6pm and had our dinner there. After having our meal, we dropped by at Tesco to run some errand before driving home.

Happy International Women's Day

Mummy was busy with her work traveling, thus she has no time to blog. Last Sun, we attended a hi-tea party at Hotel Equatorial in conjunction of the Women's Day. Sherine Ee Ee and her mum joined us. They parked at our place and mummy drove us all there. The event includes free body art, free make up and free manicure apart from the food that were served. All of us went for the body art and had the nice art painted on our hands.

We went over to Por Por's house after the event.

The Last CNY Week

lunch at CRC Taiwanese Restaurant

dinner at Khuntai

Chap Goh Meh celebration

Finally the last week of CNY ended and it's time to get back to our usual routine. Emeryn started school on Mon as well. Mummy bought Emeryn a new purse as she lost her first one a week before the CNY holiday. Routine started with BM tuition on Mon evening and Art Class on Sat morning. Last Fri mummy spent her evening at home with Emeryn; instead of going out for dinner and drinks with her friends. Mummy bought 3 dvds for Emeryn and she started her movie marathon right after her dinner.

We started Sat morning with Art Class and proceeded for lunch at CRC Taiwanese Restaurant. We had our lunch date with Aunty Mei and Florence. Aunty Mei gave Emeryn a roll-out black board with chalks. After lunch, we spent sometimes doing some writing and coloring with the kids and a bit of chit-chatting before leaving home. At about 5.30pm, mummy's friends gathered at our place and mummy drove all of them to Khuntai Thai Restaurant @ Teluk Kumbar for her monthly gathering. It was our first time there and the food was superb. At the dinner gathering, mummy and her friends exchanged Valentine's Day gift and mummy requested for a pair of high heels. It wasn't really a good day as mummy's car was having some over-heating problem again. Sigh... Mummy's lil' myvi is aging, it is now coming to 8years this Sept. Luckily we managed to pull over the whole journey and it didn't give further problem. After our dinner, we went over to Aunty Esther's place for a short gathering before heading home.

We started our Sun very late where mummy woke up almost at noon hour. We had a quick brunch at home and lazed around the whole afternoon. Emeryn continued with her movie marathon until we went over to Por Por's place at about 6pm. As usual, we had our dinner there and we decided to visit the Chap Goh Meh State Celebration @ Esplanade. To avoid the traffic jam, mummy suggested going on motorbike. It has been almost 8years ago since mummy rode on her motorbike and she was extra careful that nite riding it. It was fun to have Ah Kong and Por Por to join us on the road with their motorbike too. At the event, we witnessed the Baba Nyonya Costume Contest and some multicultural dances. The highlight of the event was tossing mandarin oranges into a “blessing pool”, in line with the age-old belief that it would net a good life partner. Emeryn requested for the oranges to join in the fun. Mummy purchased 2 oranges at RM3,which the profit would goes to the charity. We both threw the oranges to the sea and it was our first time doing it. There are many other performances lined up for the nite including spectacular fireworks at 11pm. The event also served some free food to the guest since it was an open house. Being the food-holic, Emeryn requested for her portion. We queued for the food and Emeryn had it all before we left.

Fun-filled CNY

us clad in Yellow, welcoming PSY

CNY Day 2 Heritage Stroll

  CNY Day 3

CNY Day 6: CNY Cultural Heritage Celebration

girls's sleepover

2nd day of CNY: We woke up early on the 2nd day and got ourselves ready for PSY performance at the CNY Open House @ Han Chiang School. It was Emeryn, the eager one who desperately wanted to watch the infamous Oppa Gangnam Style. We left home at about 10.15am and surprisingly the road was very smooth. There was lil' jam and slightly better than the peak hours. We parked at Jalan P Ramlee along the housing area and waited for Toki Ee Ee and mummy's aunty who came on motorbike. We then marched together to the Han Chiang school compound, all readied with our Yellow (Bersih) attires match with mummy's company umbrella in yellow too. We walked into the hustle bustle field with crowded crowd. Slowly we made our way nearer and nearer to the stage. We finally settled at the right side of the stage and stay put there until Psy appeared. We were all happily sun-bathing under the fierce sun while "enjoying" the not-so-fun speeches. The highlight of the event was Psy, Psy and Psy. It was a good experience to witness. The crowd dispersed right after the performance by Psy at about 12.30pm and we made our way to the car by foot. Emeryn fell down while walking and as expected she cried like mad. That's my "fragile" princess. We dropped by at the hawker stall and bought some food home to fill our empty stomach. After a short rest at home, we headed over to Por Por's house for our CNY steamboat. It was fun having everyone surrounding the two hot pots and "fighting" over food. Later we decided to go for a family heritage photo shooting at Georgetown Heritage site. It was the first time having a huge family members to join us for some crazy activities. We posed like mad but nevertheless we had fun laughing at each other. Our last destination was at the Chew Jetty but unfortunately we were unable to snap any nice photo since the skies are falling on us. We then headed to New Lane for dinner before going home.

3rd day of CNY: We started our day much later. At about noon, we got ourselves ready as mummy is meeting her primary school mate for a gathering at egate. Before the gathering we join the rest of the family members for lunch at Esplanade. We had the infamous mee goreng and coconut shake. Mummy left Emeryn with Por Por and she proceeded with her gathering. They went for a temple visit. At about 5.30pm, we gathered at Chew Jetty again to continue with what we failed to accomplish a day before. The weather wasn't very kind to us either. It was raining cats and dogs and we spent about an hour trying to shed from the rain. Before the skies getting darker, we went out to the rain and snapped some photo. We had so much fun again despite the rain. We then had our dinner at the hawker stand in front of Chew Jetty before heading home.

4th day of CNY: Mummy started work on the 4th day and Emeryn spent her day with Ah Ma at Pekaka. At about 5.45pm mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka and we went home a quick shower before going out. We had our dinner at Chulia Street savoring the infamous wan than mee and curry mee before we headed over to our 3rd movie, Journey to the West.

5th day of CNY: Mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka before going to office. During lunch, mummy went to Pekaka and picked Emeryn out for lunch. We went to Mc Donalds and then mummy dropped her at a relative's place before Ah Ma picked her again back to Pekaka. Mummy went home for a quick shower after work before she picked Emeryn from Beena Kor Kor's home. We went for the so-called famous Bahtera Santai ikan bakar near Queensbay. It was our first time there but it wasn't as delicious as recommended by most Penangites. After our dinner, we went to QBM for a walk and hang out at Station One later on. We left at about 11pm  and the rest proceeded on.

6th day of CNY: Art Class is still off last week and we went out for brunch with mummy's friend. After our brunch, Emeryn came home for a shower before tagging along with Toki Ee Ee and Uncle Lin Chun for their facial appointment. Emeryn wanted to meet Tutu, the doggie at the salon but unfortunately Tutu wasn't there. At about 5.30pm we went downtown for the CNY Cultural Heritage Celebration, organized by the Penang State Govenment along the Armenian Street. Before the heritage tour, we hopped over to Cozy in the Rocket for a drinks but we were ultimately disappointed with the service rendered. We left without ordering and proceeded with the festival. It showcased the rich culture of the various clans in George Town and other activities including lion dance, handicraft demonstrations, calligraphy and Chinese martial arts. Due to the traffic congestion, we parked about 15mins far away from the actual scene. It was an eye-opener for all of us to learn the Chinese Cultural and it has the truly Chinese feel. We ended our day with a late dinner together before heading home.

7th day of CNY: It was Sun, a day before we crawl back to reality and continue with our daily routines. We spent our lazy Sun at home until evening. We went out for dinner at about 7pm before Toki Ee Ee and Uncle Lin Chun left for Singapore. That night Florence stayed over night at our place as aunty Mei needs to stay late for the mid-nite prayers. It was the girl's first sleepover. They started playing as soon as they met from 9.30pm to 10.30pm. They even refused to sleep after having their milk. Mummy has to show them the cane before they finally listened. Both lil' cheeky had long conversation before we fall asleep.

Update from FB: When I woke up at 10am, lil' cheeky was at the living room doing her revision. That was a fantastic sight coz I did not ask for it. I'm loving her pro-activeness :)
