All about Wedding

 @ the wedding

lunch date

Emeryn attended Art Class on Sat morning as usual and later mummy dropped her to Por Por's place where Toki Ee Ee and Uncle Lin Chun helped to babysit her. Mummy went to her ex-sixth form friend's wedding lunch at Deluxcious. Though it was just about 100pax but the whole ceremony was so grand and filled of good feeling. After the lunch, mummy picked Emeryn at Prangin Mall where Toki Ee Ee brought Emeryn along for shopping. We then headed home for a quick rest.

Later in the evening, we dressed nicely for mummy's cousin wedding dinner at Vistana Hotel. We both wore our new dress, which is supposed to be our CNY clothing. Mummy left before the dinner ends as she went out for a drinks with her friend. Emeryn stayed over nite at Por Por's place.

The next morning, Emeryn tagged along with Toki Ee Ee to Queensbay for a meet up. We then went for family lunch at Sri Batik together with Sherine Ee Ee and her family. After our lunch, all of us went to Prangin Mall to shop for CNY but unfortunately we were not in the mood to spent. We went home empty handed except getting Emeryn a new pair of school shoe. We came out in the evening for a quick dinner before Toki Ee Ee and Uncle Lin Chun leave for Singapore.

Chit Chatter

 Scene 1

I'm speechless...and I felt bad too...

Emeryn has to take the pedestrian bridge across to her school compound. I got irritated since I'm paying for the transport but yet the driver did not send her right to the school entrance. It's a pity seeing such a small size girl carrying a heavy school bag walking up and down the pedestrian bridge.

Me: Emeryn, why are you carrying your school bag on your own while uncle helps other to carry? Tomorrow onwards, please ask the uncle to carry for you.

Emeryn: Because the uncle is so old already. So I told him that I can carry my own bag.

Scene 2

Emeryn: I told Samantha that I like the eraser and she went to the book store and got it for me. And I even thanked her.
Mummy: You can't ask your friend to buy you something. Please return this eraser to Samantha tomorrow.

Emeryn: I can't return her because her mommy will scold her. Later her mommy will ask why she buys 2 eraser?

Mummy: Wah, you're so smart. Then ask her how much is the eraser and return her with your pocket money.

2nd Week of School

The first week of school ended in just 3days and there start the 2nd week of schooling. Parents are not allowed to enter the school compound starting this week. In a way, it's a good way to let the child to be independent. On average, mummy gave Emeryn RM1.50-RM2 daily.

Day 4, Mon - Emeryn spent RM1 on an ice cream before school started and another RM0.50 for porridge during the break time. That day Emeryn was scolded by a teacher as she wasn't paying attention during the class but instead played with her friends. Mummy started her with tuition only on one subject, BM. After school we headed home for a quick dinner and shower before attending BM tuition at 7.45pm. She was the only Chinese student in the tuition class and the rest were Malays and Indians .This is one of the main reason mummy sent her there; to improved on her BM.

Day 5, Tues - Mummy prepared a bread for Emeryn to bring to school and gave her additional RM0.50 where she spent on a cake. On the way sending Emeryn to daycare in the morning, mummy had a quick chat with Emeryn, only to realized the transporter actually dropped them at the opposite side of the school compound and walked together with them across the pedestrian bridge. Mummy got very agitated knowing it and went out during lunch to investigate further. The transporter helped some student carrying their school bag but Emeryn carried her school bag on her own. It pains mummy heart seeing her small-sized girl carrying such a big school bag walking up and down the pedestrian bridge. Mummy confronted the uncle later.

Day 6, Wed - After school we went to Prangin Mall as mummy needed to collect her camera charger. Emeryn came home with a new iphone eraser. Her 1st version of story was she bought it on her own. Later after much questioning from mummy, she admitted that her classmate, Samantha bought it for her. She had nasi lemak again during the break time.

Day 7, Thurs - Mummy gave her RM1.50 and she spent it on a Princess notepad before school started. Luckily daddy went to the school and bought KFC for her. Daddy and Ah Ma were denied entry to the school. They were only allowed to pass the food to Emeryn and leave immediately. That was how strict the school is. Emeryn got mummy very mad upon knowing that she spent all her money on a notepad and that wasn't all. The highlight of the day was she left her color pencil in the school giving the excuse that the teacher rushed them to pack when the school bell rings. Emeryn called daddy and asked him to go to the school and collect her color pencil. Daddy was too busy with work and got Ah Ma to help. Ah Ma sent her color pencil and a work book to us later.

Day 8, Fri - Mummy changed her Fri working hour from 8.15am to 5.15pm, allowing her to have more time to be at the school on time to pick Emeryn. Fri is always associates with traffic jam. That nite, Emeryn stayed over at Pekaka.

Chit-chatter

Lil' cheeky asked whats the 1st prize for the coloring contest?

Me: It's RM300 cash.
Emeryn: Wow, if I win I want to buy high heels.
Me: Oh ok. But can you give me RM100 coz I also want to buy high heels.
Emeryn: No, I wont give you RM100 coz you have a lot of high heels already. Go and check your shoe rack.

And yet if she don't win, I got to give her RM10 as a consolation prize. That's what mummy is for...

Mon was New Year Eve and mummy worked up to 3pm. Mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka and headed home for some light packing before sending Emeryn over to Por Por's house. She wanted to stay over night as she was overjoyed with the motorbike ride with ah kong and por por while mummy went out for her New Year countdown party with Aunty Karen and the rest.

The next morning Emeryn went to the market with ah kong and por por before they sent her home about noon. Next mummy drove out to Lip Sin to have her lunch and we proceeded to Tesco to run some errand. We spent the rest of the day at home with mummy doing her unfinished house chores and Emeryn happily playing with her stuffs. Since mummy bought some ingredient for porridge, she cooked that evening plus a steamed egg for Emeryn. The same nite Emeryn slept early in order to have a good start the next morning.

Wed, was Emeryn's Day 1 at CGL (Convent Green Lane), which also marked another notable step in her life. Before going to work, mummy dropped Emeryn at the daycare. Mummy took half day leave in the afternoon and rushed to daycare to pick her to school. The traffic was tremendously bad and we reached CGL 10mins before school starts. After settling Emeryn into her class, mummy went home before coming back again during her break time. Mummy insisted Emeryn to select the front seat in the class due to her astigmatism problem and also wanted her to pay full concentration in the class. During recess, she ran excitedly heading to the canteen and bought nasi lemak with just curry gravy without any dishes, RM0.60 and also another small cake at RM0.40. For the first day, she did not choose to sit with her friends in the canteen but with stranger. After finishing both meals, she requested for a vitagen, RM1. She was doing exceptionally well for her first day at school, though she may still have problem identify her money. Mummy went off after the school break and came back again at 6.30pm.

As for Day 2, Emeryn went to the school by the school car and mummy went looking for her in the school since she applied for half day leave too. Mummy left almost immediately after the school bell rang. Mummy headed to town to collect our studio photo and went for lunch while waiting to go back to the school at 3.40pm for the recess. This time around, mummy hide herself and monitored how Emeryn buy her own food in the canteen. First she hopped over to the bread stall and bought the same cake like Day 1. Mummy saw the seller shaking her head when Emeryn is paying for the bread, which means she has got the wrong amount. She then handed RM1 note. Then, she walked over to the Malay stall and again ordering the same nasi lemak. After paying for it, she started looking for her friends and she sat together with Wenly (ex-Trinity friend) and Jocelyn (new daycare friend). Mummy showed up after that. Emeryn looked happy and enjoyed her meals. Mummy was very proud seeing the way her lil' cheeky handles herself so well. Aw, my grown up baby. Finally!!! Mummy went back to the school at 6.30pm to pick her up. Mummy choose to parked at the opposite side and take the pedestrian bridge to avoid the heavy traffic jam during the rush hours. Lil' cheeky came back home and told mummy that she cleaned herself after pooing in the school and she bravely plucked her soon-to-drop tooth after dinner. Yay!!!

Day 3, daddy made a visit to the school during the break time and saw Emeryn bought a porridge at RM1. Earlier mummy has warned Emeryn not to eat nasi lemak daily and asked her to try other new food. According to Emeryn, she bought a doughnut before school since she was hungry. Daddy commented that Emeryn was very popular among her friend's parents where they called out her name repeatedly. School ends at 6pm on Fri and mummy rushed from work. Luckily mummy reached on the dot, just a minute before the bell rang. We headed home for a quick bath before mummy dropped Emeryn to Por Por's place while seh went out for her usual Fri nite outing.

Emeryn attended Art Class as usual on Sat morning. After Art Class we bought lunch home and got ourselves readied to go out for the coloring contest. When mummy was on the way driving to Han Chiang, she read through the contest form again only to found out the contest was actually on Sun, instead of Sat. What a mistake. Co-incidentally ah ma called and asked if Emeryn wanted to tag along with them for a shopping at QBM. Emeryn said yes to them and mummy dropped Emeryn at the Genting kopitiam where they are having their lunch. Mummy went home after that and enjoyed her me-time. Beena kor kor sent Emeryn home at about 8.30pm and later mummy drove out to buy hokkien mee for her late nite dinner.

On Sun morning, mummy called up Por Por and asked her to meet us at Jelutong Market as she wanted to bring her to smaller scale boutique there in case Por Por wants anything for CNY. Eventually both Por Por and mummy got themselves 2 pieces of top each. After leaving the market, we bought lunch home. After showering we headed out to Han Chiang for the coloring contest organized by Sony. The whole contest took 2 hours and another hour to announce the result. In the middle of the contest, Emeryn got mad because she couldn't find her eraser and showing her temper. She scribbled on the coloring paper and simply complete it. Mummy got very mad and scolded Emeryn for the bad behavior. Ended up, Emeryn did not grab any prizes. We went over to Por Por's place for our usual Sun visit and had dinner there before leaving. Mummy bought a tripod from the Sony fair, something she always wanted to have.

While at home later in the evening, mummy asked Emeryn to choose one of the punishment for being miss lil' misbehave earlier. (1) Take any punishment mummy wants or (2) no pocket money for a week. Emeryn can't go without food at school, so she chose (1). Mummy punished Emeryn to color on her coloring book 1 page per day up to 5days; with excellent coloring skills. After the coloring, she went to bed.

Merry X'mas & Primary One Orientation Day

Primary One orientation day

Kelly's housewarming

X'mas eve, the silent nite was spent at home, just being us the mummy and her sweetheart. Mummy had red wine and Emeryn had sparkling juice and we both toast for a better year ahead. May every moment in your life be a blessing. May you be showered with love and care. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. 2012 was bad enough for mummy, having going through life roller coaster and lets wish for a better 2013.

While on X'mas day, we had brunch at Super Tanker. Before our brunch, we took a stroll at the morning market. Morning market was a place mummy grew up with, buying her CNY clothing and many other necessities back then. Unfortunately mummy no longer find morning market meets her requirement anymore but nonetheless we still enjoy our stroll there. We went home after taking our meal and went to Prangin Mall at 3.30pm for shopping. We do not want to spend the meaningful day at home, doing nothing. After an hour of shopping, there was nothing that caught our eyes and we still walked empty handed. Emeryn then requested for the infamous tom yam noodle when the aroma reaches her nose. We both shared a bowl of it and then walked over to 1st Avenue after savouring the yummylicious noodle. Our first pit stop was at the central atrium where we spotted Santa Claus and Santarinas in pink. One of the santarina handed over a candy to Emeryn and she took a photo with them. We then headed over for coffee at Gloria Jeans. Emeryn didn't like her hot choc, thus we went to Ee Ee's working place and gave it to her. We continued our shopping mission and finally mummy happily bought two pants for herself. We dropped by at Pacific Komtar while walking to the car park and Emeryn requested mummy to buy daddy a tee shirt. We walked into Reject Shop and Emeryn selected a black tee for daddy. She called daddy immediately to inform him about the gift and after all he was the happy man. We headed home right away after that.

On Thurs Emeryn attended art class as we are unable to attend on Sat. While Emeryn was at art class, mummy went to Subway @ egate to meet one of her long lost friend. For the whole week Emeryn skipped daycare as mummy wanted to give her a week off before starting her new school life. Mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka before going to work. On Fri evening, Emeryn joined mummy at Via Pre for X'mas gathering. We had the gift exchange after the dinner and then adjourned to Twelve Cups for a drink. Emeryn requested for a mango crepe and she enjoyed it to the max. We called it a nite at 10pm.

Sat, the most awaited day, orientation. Emeryn reported in to SK Convent Green Lane and daddy joined us too. The whole orientation took 4hours which includes of welcoming speech and briefing by the Principal and teachers, buying books, paying the necessary school fees. As for the kids, they had some ice breaking session and were kept occupied with some activity. We went home after that and bought lunch for Emeryn while waiting for Aunty Karen's call. Later in the afternoon, mummy picked Aunty Karen and some friend to Bangkok Lane for the infamous mee goreng. Aunty Karen and Aunty Kathy came all the way from KL to celebrate New Year with us. After the sumptuous meal, we dropped by at Him Heang where both of them wanted to bring some souvenir home. We then drove over to Farlim's All Season Place for a huge gathering at Who's Bryan. They were all mummy's ex uni mates and high school friends. We headed over to Bali Bali to get some snack and finger food for Kelly's house warming. We spent our nite at Kelly's place. It was a fun gathering for all.

We woke up late on Sun and headed out for a quick brunch. We went to Por Por's house early in the evening. Emeryn reminded mummy on her promise, fetching Emeryn on motorbike. Since it was a promise made, mummy has to deliver it. We rode the motorbike at the housing area just to satisfy Emeryn. She was extremely happy and even demanded to stay at Por Por's place that nite. At least it has been 7-8 years ago since mummy last rode on her motorbike. We went home after that.

The current progress on Emeryn: She has two permanent teeth erupting and we need to do away with one of the milk tooth to make way for the permanent one. She has to shake her tooth daily to loosen it; rather than going back to the dentist again.
