Emeryn started off with exam for Moral, Sejarah and Bahasa Cina on Thurs. The following week was the exam for the core subjects. As usual it was a week full of tension, scolding, screaming and even yelling when we have to revise. Mummy picked Emeryn from the day care as late as 7pm, so that she could do more revision there.

The first day of exam, we went to Mc Donalds and collected the free burger before sending Emeryn to school.  Mummy bought a second hand desktop and monitor from her office at only RM160. Alas, Emeryn have her own computer to do her school project but unfortunately we do not have internet access at home.

On Wed, mummy took half day leave in the afternoon to get her car aircond replaced. Mummy was so lucky that her car’s 3 years warranty is expiring in just 2 days time. Thus the aircond replacement was still under the warranty period. After leaving her car at the workshop, mummy chooses to walk home from Nissan Service Centre. Ah Kong and Ah Ma helped to send Emeryn home after school. They bought her lunch before sending her home knowing mummy is without transport. We had a quick revision before Emeryn insisted to walk to collect our car, instead of taking GrabCar. Emeryn brought along her skateboard so she could do her skate boarding while we were walking to Nissan.

The exam fever was finally over on Thurs. Fri was a school holiday in view of pre-Deepavali celebration. We spent our morning at home before going out for lunch with mummy’s friend. We went to Xiao Mu Wu at Air Itam. It was a new place which was newly opens a day before we went. The place was extremely hot during lunch time and they took a very long time to serve our food. After lunch, we went to Nois for a quick drink. Since we still have time before fetching Baby Will from his babysitter, we head over to Pie Harbour for another drink. After fetching Baby Will, we dropped him to Theng Ee Ee’s workplace and we headed for dinner. It was another long wait for our meal. After filling up our tummies, we went to Giant for a quick grocery shopping before going home.

On Sat we spent our day at home with Emeryn digging her art class bag and then started to do some painting on her own. She even painted her own finger nails. We had pumpkin rice and fried egg with preserved turnips for lunch. We complement our lunch with banana and pineapple blend with mango lassi. Later in the evening, we went for a swim.

Last Mon was a replacement school holiday for Emeryn and mummy sent her to the daycare for full day. She insisted wearing her new dress to the daycare. This week we started off with revision, in preparation of the school final exam. On Sat, we had time off in between revision. We made a necklace together using the beads and accessories we bought many years ago. In between, Emeryn went into the room and put on make up on her own. She loves seeing herself in a new make over. Later in the evening Emeryn requested to have tom yam for dinner, so we went to Bangkok Tom Yam. After dinner, we went to Giant to run some errand before going home.

On Sun morning, Emeryn attended her Cambridge class as usual. On our way heading to Por Por's house after the class, we dropped by at Mr DIY to check out something for Theng Ee Ee. Theng Ee Ee requested mummy to help her with the goodies bag for Baby Will's 1st Birthday. After the pit-stop we head over to Por Por's house for our late lunch. We stayed for awhile before going home as mummy wanted to continue the revision with Emeryn.

Mon was a replacement public holiday for Awal Muharram which falls on Sun. Mummy and Emeryn went for a movie in the afternoon at GSC, Queensbay, claiming the free birthday voucher. We watched Life of  Pets. After the movie we shopped around before having our dinner at Queens Food Market. Emeryn had the famous Malaysia favorite meal, nasi lemak ayam rendang. Though it was a little too spicy, she managed to finish it clean.

On the next day, mummy found Emeryn crying in her room with her piggy banks lying on her bed. Eventually she cried because she doesn't have enough money to buy mummy a birthday gift. She intended to get a purse from the school book store amounting to RM25 or so. Instead of getting mummy the gift from school, mummy suggested to get something cheaper at Mr DIY and she agreed.

Mummy took leave on her birthday and went for a me-time in the morning, settling her car loan. It was also the car's 3rd anniversary. Mummy booked her car 3 years ago and now she is paying her last installment. Moving on, the car solely belongs to her, no longer the bank anymore. It's another huge achievement for mummy for being able to clear off the loan in 3 years time. After school, mummy brought Emeryn to Mr DIY and mummy choose a small jewellery box. After buying the gift, mummy dropped Emeryn to the daycare. In the evening we had a very simple celebration at home, getting Emeryn's favorite durian cheesecake from Secret Recipe. Emeryn sang 4 versions of birthday song for mummy including English, Chinese, Malay and Korean version. Aside from that, Emeryn bought a pen and a notebook for mummy too.

Emeryn went to school on Sat morning for her extra co-curriculum. After her activity, we went to P Ramlee to try the most talked about vegetarian curry mee. We were surprised to see the long queue and it took us 25minutes to reach us. We also bought 2 packet for Ah Ma and delivered it to Pekaka for her.

On Sun morning, Emeryn attended Cambridge class from 9am-12pm. After the class, Emeryn requested for the same curry mee again. This round we had it there instead of taking it away. Amazingly we don't have to queue at all since we are eating there. After the meal, we went to Por Por's house and Emeryn spent some time with her lil' sweetheart. We then make our way to Queensbay. We bought a sweater and a long pants for Emeryn for our Korea trip. She also insisted to buy a long sleeve dress which she choose on her own. Emeryn also bought 2 books from Borders, utilizing the RM50 voucher which mummy converted from her credit card points. She bought "When I was a kid 3 & 4", a book which her classmates are reading as well. Before going home, we bought porridge from Queens Market for our dinner.

From FB: First she asked if daddy can pick her from school tomorrow at 2pm. I questioned her why since she don't have to stay back. She laughed and replied I got thing to do. I casually teased her, I know why, you want to get me a gift. She quickly said Noooo. Later at home, I caught her busy counting her coins and notes and ended up crying. I walked to her room and checked on her only to realized she don't have enough money to buy me a birthday gift. That precious moment worth more than anything. We settled with a plan where I'll be picking her up from school and will bring her for "gift shopping" at Mr Diy.
