 cocorica

 dinner @ Pony Tale

 breakfast

 lunch

 revision @ reading room

skate boarding

It was just another Wed evening when we spotted Cocorica drinks after mummy bought our dinner. Mummy went into the car and alerted Emeryn and she quickly tailed behind mummy and ordered Green tea Latte, one of her fav drink. With the price we’re paying, the drink is definitely worth it.

On Thur, we went on a dinner date with mummy’s friend after mummy picked Emeryn from the daycare. It was our first time patronizes Pony Tale which located at Spice Arena. Since we were there early by 5.15pm, we literally had the whole floor for ourselves. While waiting for the food to be served, Emeryn cheekily pose for the camera. Mummy gave 2 thumbs up for the food, for its taste and most of it, the food presentation. We ordered Norwegian salmon which was the best among the food we ordered, seafood pumpkin pot and creamy ham and sausage spaghetti for Emeryn. We ended the dinner with some sweet tooth, crème brulee.

On Sat morning, Emeryn requested for breakfast at home. We had cheese in bread coated with eggs and mixed fruits compliment by our own drinks. After finishing our breakfast Emeryn spent her time watching tv while mummy got her hands busy at the kitchen. We rested for awhile after having our lunch before heading to the reading room. Slowly mummy is grooming to be a better cook as she can cook yummier dishes nowadays. We started with some light revision as the school exam is 3 weeks later. After spending about 2 hours at the reading room, we ended the revision session and Emeryn went to the playground area to practise her skateboarding. It was a quick one as rain started to pour soon after. Later we had the same meal again for our dinner. That’s basically our weekend spent at home.

Emeryn attended Cambridge Class on Sun afternoon before we went over to Por Por’s house for our usual Sun visit.

Emeryn & Baby Will

Last Fri after picking Emeryn from daycare, we headed to QBM as mummy wanted to get the down jacket for herself and Ah Kong. Emeryn requested to dine at Sushi King for dinner. After dinner we shopped for the down jacket and lastly got Emeryn a skateboard as her belated birthday gift.

Emeryn stayed overnight at Por Por's place on Sat as Baby Will was around. Mummy picked Emeryn from Por Por's house on Sun and we had lunch before sending Emeryn to the Cambridge Class. After the class we went down to the playground and Emeryn tried on her skateboard. She was doing fine for a first timer.

Perth Day 1

@ Penang Airport

 her birthday gift, Smiggle

Perth Train Station

@ Elizabeth Quay & Bell Tower

 across Swan River

 Swan River Cruise

 Perth Town Hall

 London Court

We touched down at Perth International Airport at 5.35am with a very excited heart. Since we have a very long day, we took things rather slow passing through the immigration and purchasing an Optus sim card. The queue to purchase the sim card took us minimally 30mins. By 7.30am we are all ready to board the bus 380 to the city. The weather was super cold, which was probably at 8 degree. The whole journey was very pleasant and we stopped at St George Terrace, William Street. It took us a short while to navigate before we walked towards William Street. We made our way to Mantra on Murray and tried calling the person in charge of the airbnb but there was no answer. Instead of waiting, we headed out to grab our breakfast. Our very first meal in Perth was at Hungry Jack.

After filling up our tummies, we walked pass Coles Supermarket towards Wellington Street. From there we took a free CAT bus to Watertown Brand Outlet. Upon reaching, we quickly made our way to the tourist lounge to refill our water tumbler and to leave our luggage there while we went shopping. Emeryn bought a tee shirt from Cotton On for daddy and requested for a huge pencil case from Smiggle. That was probably the most expensive stuff we bought. After a short shopping spree, we received a call from the airbnb administrator and we later meet him up at the venue at 12.30pm. After the check in, we headed out to our next destination at Barrack Street. We hang out at Elizabeth Quay while admiring the stunning view of the Bell Tower.

Next, we hopped on to the Transperth Ferry to go across the river. While cruising by, we were literally taken aback by the beautiful view of the Swan River. After alighting from the ferry, we walked to the supermarket to run some errand. Before going back to Elizabeth Quay, the kids enjoyed themselves at the playground filled with soft sand. We went back to Elizabeth Quay in 2 hours and proceeded on our tour via foot.

We walked to London Court and also snapped a photo of the Perth Town Hall which is situated next to it. By the time we visited London Court, the stalls are already closing up for the day. Only some stalls are still open. London Court is a three and four level open-roofed shopping arcade captured in a setting of Tudor England. We were like transported to London all of the sudden. We had a pleasure stroll before coming into Hay Street and then Murray Street. We missed the Supreme Court and Stirling Garden as we took the wrong lane earlier.

Walking through the busy walkaway at Murray Street, we finally landed ourselves at Taka Japanese Cuisine. It is one of the budget meal suggested in some of the forum. Yes, the food were indeed very cheap. After our early dinner at about 5.30pm, we slowly walked back to our accommodation. We did walked in to some random shop in search of small souvenirs to bring home.

Back to our airbnb accommodation, it was a good catch. Mummy negotiated for only RM400 per nite for 2 bedrooms apartment. We sure had a very comfortable stay. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the happening street, 305, Murray Street. Highly recommended.

Welcome Home

comfort food; curry fish head & squid & tom yam maggie noodle

Sun breakfast

After 8 full days of Perth trip, we finally reached Penang on Sat, 5pm. Mummy's friend picked us from the airport and we headed to Sunshine Market Food Court. We are absolutely craving for local cuisine that we ordered tom yam maggie, curry fish head coupled with ice blended red bean. Those were our comfort food. After filling up our tummies, we headed home.

After a short rest and unpacking, mummy insisted Emeryn to finish her school homework as school is reopening in just a day time. Emeryn went to bed right after finishing her homework. The next morning, mummy prepared fried rice with eggs and sambal from the leftover rice yesterday as there is nothing left in the fridge. Emeryn then attended her Cambridge class and after the class she requested to go to Popular as she wanted to get some books. We went to Popular at Tesco eGate. Emeryn bought hidden pictures books and a comic, whereas mummy bought 2 novels. After the bookstore visit, we went to Por Por's house for our usual visit and had our meal there. As usual Emeryn spent her quality time with Baby Will until he has to go home.

Packing & Packing for Perth

It was the last countdown to our most awaited trip, Perth. For the past week, mummy kept herself busy packing our luggage, flight check in, printing itineraries and making sure all hotel bookings, car rental are in order. As usual, we travel light and do not need checked in luggage.

On Fri, mummy worked half day in the morning and pick Emeryn from school at 12.30pm. We then grabbed a quick lunch and bought some toiletries before heading home to get ready. At 5.15pm, we flew to KL and waited for our flight to Perth at 12.05am. We walked around KLIA2 while waiting for Beena Kor Kor and her family and mummy's friend, Amanda to join us at the airport. We then had dinner at the food court and waited for an hour or so before checking in to the International Departure. Luckily the wait wasn't too torturous as we had something to talk to, somewhere to walk around and a comfortable place to rest while waiting. We boarded the plane by 11.30pm and everyone of us try to catch a sleep as soon as we got into the plane.
