First Cambridge English Class

 afternoon snack

Mummy's so-called 2016 resolution is to cook more healthy meal for Emeryn. Emeryn needs more nutrient as she grows up. It was made possible on Wed where we had our home cooked dinner at 6.10pm. Before going to work in the morning, mummy prepared the ABC soup. When she got back home, she cooked cereal prawn and fried chicken. All dishes were done quickly and dinner was served early too.

Emeryn attended her first lesson at Cambridge English on Sat from 9am - 1pm, which was a replacement for Thaipusam holiday. Her usual schedule should be on Sun 1-4pm. While Emeryn was at the class, mummy went home and cook pumpkin porridge for Emeryn's lunch. Though it was such a simple meal, she enjoyed it to the max. Emeryn told mummy that she likes her Cambridge Eng class and she looks forward attending it again the following week. In the afternoon, mummy prepared some finger food (nugget, fries and fried chicken) before we hit the pool at about 4.30pm. It was really a hot day but Emeryn insisted of going for a swim. We were in the pool for at least 1hr and 30mins. Emeryn watched her favorite cartoon at 7pm, Doraemon & Crayon Shin Chan. It was one of those movies which mummy can relate to. She watched them during her childhood time too.

On Sun, we went over to Theng Ee Ee's new home at Garden Ville to help her with some cleaning. Ah Kong and Por Por were there too to help out. After the cleaning all of us when for lunch together before Emeryn went for a quick swim at Garden Ville. The weather was too hot for even a 15mins swim. Basically Emeryn only dipped into the pool for 15mins before we decided to call it off. We went home and watched our series instead. Later in the evening, we went out and brought back diner.

Every Wed is the co-curriculum day for Emeryn and she has to wear her karate uniform to school. For the first time wearing it, she commented "Mummy, I look like a clown". It's the second week of school and yet almost everyday Emeryn would grumble and pull her long face, complaining that she is late. We leave home at about 6.50am and reach home about 7.20am and yet she is not satisfy. She wants to be in the school by 6.30am just like some of her friends. Every nite Emeryn sleeps before 9pm and wakes up at 6am. Even mummy has to change to her new sleeping time ever since waking up at 5.45am on every school days.

During lunch hour on Fri, mummy went to the school and dropped Emeryn to the daycare. School ends at 12pm and the bus driver will only pick her at 1.15pm. On Sat it was the first co-curriculum day for Emeryn. Mummy dropped her at school before 7.30am and she headed for breakfast alone before going back to the school. Mummy attended the parents-teachers session from 8.30am to 10.30am. She then collected the full moon set of Baby Will from Ah Kong & Por Por before making a quick stop at Karpal Singh drive to check out the fashion sales. After fetching Emeryn, mummy sent Emeryn's school uniform to the shop to stitch her name badge before heading home. We spent the whole day at home and mummy did a quick Maths revision with Emeryn  in the evening.

On Sun morning, Emeryn told mummy that she wants to have Tom Yam noodle. We had a simple breakfast at home before meeting Carmen Ee Ee and Ah Mou for lunch near jetty. Carmen Ee Ee bought Emeryn at baby tee from Europe. After our lunch, we went to Karpal Singh Drive along with them. Later Por Por and Ah Kong also joined us there. Each of us bought something home. We then went to Por Por's house and had dinner there before going home.

School reopen on 4th Jan 2016 and there start our new routine of waking up the latest by 6am on every schooling day. Mummy has changed her work schedule to 8am – 5pm. We left home at 6.50am and reached school around 7.20am. Mummy still has ample time to grab her breakfast before heading to her office. Mummy took half day leave on afternoon on both Mon and Tues just to make sure her transport arrangement is in order. From this year onwards, Emeryn will take school bus to her daycare after school. Mummy drove and followed the school bus all the way to daycare and Emeryn reached her daycare around 1.50pm.  Fortunately Emeryn enjoyed her ride on the school bus. While Emeryn was at the daycare mummy went to QBM to shop for her CNY clothing but she did not managed to get anything.

Mummy went to the school on Tues noon again to check on Emeryn and to buy some books which daddy has missed out earlier on. After Emeryn got onto the bus, mummy left and headed to Prangin Mall for shopping. This round she managed to get 2 pieces of clothing for herself. Mummy also went to Giant to do a quick grocery before picking Emeryn from daycare to her tuition at 4.30pm. Mummy enrolled Emeryn to BM and Science tuition at Bukit Gambir. The tuition starts at 5pm and ends at 8pm. After paying for the fee and registered, mummy drove home before coming out to pick Emeryn at 8pm. At home, Emeryn had spagetthi for her late dinner before calling it a day at about 9.30pm.

On Thurs evening, Emeryn dozed off on the sofa while waiting for mummy to prepare dinner. We reached home around 5.30pm and mummy has sufficient time to cook. Obviously she was way too tired since she has to stay back for her Chinese class. Mummy bought chai boey for our dinner and compliments it with fried eggs with French beans and potato with Japanese tofu.

On Fri after work, mummy hurried to Giant to buy some ingredient as she decided to cook curry chicken for dinner. Her colleague gave her sweet potato leaf and it was mummy’s first time cooking it. Amazingly the vege turns out very well with sambal belacan and Emeryn loves it compares to the curry chicken.

We woke up around 8am+ on Sat. As usual Emeryn will turn on the tv and enjoy the cartoon shows while mummy prepares breakfast. We had pan toasted bread with half boiled egg on top of it. For lunch and dinner, we had the left over curry chicken and mummy fried some veges. For the whole day, we stayed at home and had tvb marathon. We watched the series from morning till nite.

The next morning, mummy prepared sambal fried rice with egg and anchovies for Emeryn and she had pan toasted bread dipped into eggs for herself. We went to Pusat Bahasa Titian Jaya to pay the fee for Cambridge English. Daddy paid for the whole fee for a total of 2 years course. After settling the fee and registration, we headed to Por Por’s house for our usual Sun visit and had our meal there. Mummy intended to bring Por Por to Prangin Mall to shop for her CNY clothing but she refused since she was busy. Emeryn choose to stay with Por Por while mummy went shopping on her own. Mummy then reached Por Por’s home again about 6.30pm and we headed home after having another quick meal there.

Finally on Tues Emeryn brought home the souvenir from Daddy which he bought from Singapore. It was 5 years ago since we last visited Universal Studio. Ever since then Emeryn has been asking for the water tumbler with fan attached and keep pestering Toki Ee Ee to get one for her if she chance upon it in Singapore. Her wish list is finally checked when daddy bought her one and also a huge Minion water tumbler from Universal Studio. She was on the cloud nine getting it. That night before our bedtime, mummy decided it was time to introduce sex education to Emeryn since she is going into her pre-teen now and could be reaching puberty anytime now. It is always good to do it sooner rather than being embarrass talking about it later. It wasn’t easy for mummy to explain how an egg & sperm get together to make a baby but we had a good read together and Emeryn shown huge interest learning it.

New Year Eve falls on Thurs and Ah Ma picked Emeryn half day in the afternoon from her daycare. Later that evening, Emeryn joined Joel & Joey at this kindy for a new year eve party. Beena Kor Kor dropped her home at about 10.30pm after the party. She came home with a 2016 face art on her cheek.

We spent our 1st day of the 2016 chapter at home with mummy cooking breakfast and lunch.  We had the same meal for our dinner too. In the evening we went for coffee with mummy’s friend at 3 Leg Cat Café. Finally we found a newly opened café which is nearer to home; or else we would really have to travel far for a drink. This new place is equipped with some board games and also a play station. We left the place at about 11pm as we were getting really sleepy.

We had a simple breakfast at home on Sat morning before heading to Pusat Bahasa Titian Jaya. Mummy has made an appointment with the principal to enrol Emeryn for Cambridge English. We were there at about 1pm and Emeryn was given a test to determine which level she should join. She scores 25/30 and that place her in Project 3. According to the principal, Project 3 is equivalent to Malaysia Standard 6 level. The course fee is really expensive, RM2100 for 30 weeks and to complete it, she needs to attend a total of 90weeks. If we pay for all 90weeks course, it would cost us RM4785 after giving some discount. We then headed for our late lunch before going home. In the evening we went out for dinner before meeting mummy’s friends for a gathering at The Daily Dose. As usual Emeryn would choose to tag along. Emeryn started to feel unwell that evening itself, complaining about having mild sore throat, cough and sneezing.

On Sun we went to Klinik 1 Malaysia to get some prescription for Emeryn. She was having some mild fever and was prescribed Panadol in tablet, instead of syrup. It was her time swallowing a tablet and she had difficulty doing it. At her first attempt, she almost throws up. Later on our way going to Por Por’s house, we dropped by at Times Square. It has been renovated and part of the new wing is now rebranded to MMall O2O. To our surprise, the place was quite crowded. Many of us were attracted to the mural on the wall and the 3d art. Mummy took more than 200 pieces photo of Emeryn there. Emeryn co-operated despite she was under the weather. Before leaving, mummy rewarded her with the sand painting she asked for. We then headed to Por Por’s house and had our dinner there before going home. That night was the 1st night Emeryn and mummy has to sleep early as we were scheduled to wake up by 6am.
