Last week was the school holiday for a week. On Tues, Emeryn went to the daycare in the morning and Ah Ma picked her to Pekaka at about 1pm. She then spent her afternoon at Pekaka until 9pm. Mummy picked Emeryn after her monthly gathering and we headed home.

It was another public holiday on Thur, Hari Raya Haji. We woke up early and had a quick breakfast at home before heading to Times Square for the Big Bad Wolf book fair. We spent at least 3.5hours there searching high and low and spent RM220 on Emeryn's books and some accessories. After leaving the book fair, we drove around to look for a place to have a decent meal. It took us at least 30mins to finally found a place for a meal. Before going home, we ventured out to a new coffee place, Easy Brew. That cozy place was perfect for some photo shoot and Emeryn attracted to its swing. She kept herself busied on the swing and ignored mummy totally. We left at about 6pm and bought fried rice from the Malay stall near our house for dinner as Emeryn was rushing home to catch her Malay tv series which starts at 7pm.

Mummy took leave on Fri, as she needed to clear some outstanding leaves. We went to the Upside Down Museum. The entrance fee was RM22 for one adult and one child. It was our first time visiting such places and we had a lot of fun doing all the funny poses. The place also provide a photographer on each station to assist visitor to snap photo. We spent at least 2hours there before meeting Carmen Ee Ee and her mom for lunch at Chulia Street. We went for coffee at Daily Dose with them after dinner. Emeryn played some board games with Ah Mou and Carmen Ee Ee while waiting for the rain to stop before we leave home. We went home for a rest before heading out to airport to pick Toki Ee Ee. She came back for the cousin sister's wedding. We drove straight to Batu Maung for the wedding eve family gathering. We stayed for the whole nite until the hair-combing Chinese customary ended at 12am. That nite mummy's aunt and cousin bro from Ipoh came to Penang and stayed over at our place. They reached our place after we reached home.

On Sat morning, we woke up really early as it was the swimming championship. We reached Melody at about 8.15am and Emeryn went into the pool for a quick warm up session. Emeryn joined 4 activities; back stroke, free style, free style relay and Minion rescue. She was very disappointed as she finished last in all the activities except the free style relay. Finally she went home happy with a silver medal. We both had a quick nap before attending Rain's wedding at the Olive Tree Hotel.

We went out for family dim sum on Sun 9am. We headed home after the dim sum session before Emeryn attends her Art Class. While Emeryn is at the class, mummy joined the rest for another makan session at Genting kopitiam. We went home after Emeryn's class and start our carriage model which we bought from Big Bad Wolf. It took us at least 2-3hours to complete the whole carriage building. It was tiring but rewarding at the same time. We then drove out for dinner at about 8pm.

For the first time in Emeryn’s Primary School life, she is receiving an academic award. Both mummy and daddy attended the ceremony. It was another proud moment for mummy and Emeryn. The prize that Emeryn received was an Academic Improvement (Lonjakan Akademik). She has huge improvement compares to the earlier semester; especially on her Maths, from 56% she bounced to 96% making her the highest scorer in her class. She also scored the highest for Science, 82%. 

The event ended at about 11.30am and we went to LWE for mummy's eye check before heading to Gurney Paragon. Emeryn insisted mummy to bring her for movie. As a reward for her achievement, mummy agreed. We bought the ticket for Inside Out before going for lunch at Italiannies. We were too full after the lunch and proceeded with our movie date. We paid RM20 for the movie ticket and it allows us to have the whole cinema screening for only both of us. The movie was slightly “outdated” and the time we went was off peak, thus there are no other movie goers sharing the cinema with us. How lucky!!! After the movie, mummy went for a quick present hunting for her group gathering. After walking the whole complex, mummy bought a sling bag and clutch from H&M. Emeryn received RM10 voucher from her prize and we went to Tan Mark after leaving Gurney Paragon. Emeryn selected a Word Search book, an English activity book and a highlighter. Of course RM10 is insufficient for 3 items, and mummy paid the price different. On our way home, we dropped by at eWorld Gift and check if our parcel has arrived. We were indeed very lucky to have collected 6 parcels from our TaoBao order.

Wed, 16^th Sept was a public holiday. All Malaysian are celebrating Hari Malaysia. The bad haze has been around for almost 2 weeks, and still bothering us. Emeryn refused to go out for lunch and she suggested cooking porridge on her own. It was her first time cooking porridge on her own and she was extremely proud doing it 80% all by herself, including chopping the salted egg into small pieces. She has the whole pot of porridge all by herself. As for dinner, we went out to grab a quick hawker meals.

Emeryn went for a Mid Autumn Festival @ Melody Kindergarten along with Joel & Joey on Fri evening. Beena Kor Kor dropped Emeryn to mummy after event. Emeryn attended swimming class on Sat evening as usual and get ready for her swimming contest on the following week. After the practice, we went to TGIF for dinner again. We then dropped by at Sunshine Square to grab moon cakes on behalf of Toki Ee Ee and also for mummy's granny. 

On Sun morning, Emeryn woke up and got ready to cook her own breakfast. She took out the eggs and sausages before mummy woke up. When she tries to break the egg into a small bowl, she accidentally break it half and it drop on the floor instead. She then fry the egg and sausage and finally enjoy it on her own. Emeryn attended Art Class as usual and we then went over to Tesco along with Por Por and later check out some baby stuffs for Theng Ee Ee. After running around, we went back to Por Por's house for dinner before going home.
