Kidland

Candy Land show

the certificate by Tooth Fairy

the way she smiles before & after losing her front tooth

@ Kidland

On Mon, mummy sent Emeryn's to granny's daycare to give her a rest after her camp. Mummy was on leave too, to pamper herself. She went for a massage and coffee before picking Emeryn from Pekaka and sent her to her BM tuition in the evening. That nite mummy drew a certificate on behalf of Tooth Fairy for Emeryn, rewarding her for her loss of her fourth tooth. Mummy placed a RM5 note inside the envelope and Emeryn suspected it was mummy instead of Tooth Fairy who gave her the drawing. Amazingly the next morning Emeryn woke up sleeping up-side down. Mummy told her it was Tooth Fairy whom placed her the other way while she was sleeping so Tooth Fairy can place the drawing for her. Haha.

Mummy was still on leave on Tues and mummy decided to bring Emeryn to explore the newly opened Kidland @ Prangin Mall which only cater for 15stations. Kidland is a smaller version of Kidzania. Their theme is Freedom Through Edutainment and opens from 10am to 10pm. Good thing about this place was they allow multiple entries and we are allowed to bring in our own food. We had our breakfast at downtown before checking in to Kidland at about 10.45am. Kidland does not practice money earning concept like Kidzania. We spent 8.5hours there and yet Emeryn still refuses to leave. We had our lunch at Mc D at about 1.30pm and Emeryn continued with the rest of the stations. We also bumped into Emeryn's ex-nursery (Sri Embun) mate but they both can't recognize each other after 3-4years. Carmen Ee Ee, Ah Pak and Ah Mou came over to Prangin Mall that evening and we had a quick dinner together. After the dinner, Emeryn requested for one last round at Kidland before going home. She managed to complete all the stations and vowed to be back again. It was a tiring day for mummy even just to follow her around from one station to another. Sign of aging. :(

We went back with our daily schedule on Wed and Thurs. Emeryn attended art class on Thurs afternoon where the daycare caretaker sent her to her class at 4pm. Mummy picked Emeryn at 6pm and we headed to downtown for mummy's X'mas gathering cum dinner. We had the dinner at Patio Bar De Tapas where they serve Spanish meal with great ambiance for a couple of drinks. After the dinner we had the X'mas gift exchange. Mummy and her friends have to prepare 5 gifts each for everyone. Aunty Esther and Irenne gave Emeryn a small gift too. Emeryn was the happiest among all of us that nite as she was given the chance to pick the gift first. The gathering ended at about 10.15pm and Emeryn fell asleep in the car on our way home.

We spent our Fri evening at home together doing her Princess magazine. The next day Emeryn attended GB Maths and followed by her Karangan class up to 2.30pm. Initially mummy signed up Emeryn for the Santa's workshop but we can't make it due to the new Karangan class. We went home for a rest before heading out to QBM to watch the Christmas musical, Kayla's Adventure in Candyland at 7pm. Mummy bumped into her friend, Zoey. After the show we had our dinner at Porridge Time before the shopping starts. Mummy bought a pair of dress for herself and a pair of shoe for Emeryn. We left QBM at about 10.40pm and headed home, forgetting the Jco donuts for Emeryn.

We started our Sun a bit late and skipped our breakfast. We had a quick bite at home before visiting mummy's cousin bro who has just had his first newborn baby at GMC. It is a baby boy and he is the only baby carrying the Mah surname to the next generation. Emeryn got so excited meeting her new cousin brother. After the hospital visit, we went to Por Por's house for our late lunch. We stayed awhile before heading home.

Took from fb:

Emeryn: Mummy, today I cry again at Ah Ma's house.
Me: Why? Fighting?
Emeryn: No, because I miss you. I want to see you. If I don't see you, I will cry. I want to be with you everyday.
Me: Oh, I miss you too. But what if I die one day?
Emeryn: I will also die together with you.

I guess being away from me for 3days without talking and seeing each other, it makes the mother-daughter relation grow fonder & deeper.

Children Adventure Camp 2013

mummy's packing

 1st day - reporting in

campsite

day 3 - going home

It took mummy awhile to figure out how to pack for lil's cheeky's 3days 2nites camp. First in last out or last in first out? Finally mummy decided to pack in a smaller package for each day and then labelled them according to day 1, 2 and 3. Mummy choose those white plastic bags to pack so that she can write on it clearly. Mummy labelled them according to different category such as: bath (towel, swim suit and toiletries), sleep (day 1 and day 2 nite), day 2 morning, day 2 evening, day 3 morning and another package for spare clothing. Each day morning package inclusive of t-shirt, long pants, panty, socks and mosquito repellent sticker.

The most awaited day finally arrived and surprisingly mummy was the one having sleepless night a day before the camp. We woke up at 6.45am and get ready for the camp. After having her milk and dressed, mummy grabbed some breakfast for Emeryn on the way to Youth Park. We reached Youth Park at 8.05am and proceeded with the camp registration. The briefing started at 8.30am and the children co-ordinators started to spot-check every bag to make sure no food, no handphone, no ipad, no psp and etc to brought in during the camp. They then walked to kids to the campsite and to leave their luggage before going with their program. Mummy left with heavy heart at about 9am and went for breakfast with Aunty Jenny and family.

After the breakfast, mummy went to Gurney Plaza for her shopping. After walking for 5hours, she managed to get a dress for herself and some revision books for Emeryn. Mummy then headed for a quick lunch before dropping by at the campsite to check on lil' cheeky. After some searching, mummy found Emeryn and her team was at one of the station playing the station game. Emeryn also spotted mummy there. Mummy left after 10minutes. In the evening mummy accompanied daddy to the campsite to check on Emeryn. Parents are strictly prohibited from visiting, so both mummy and daddy stood by the side of the campsite and have a glimpse of Emeryn. Luckily enough Emeryn spotted mummy and daddy there. We left after 15mins and headed for a meal.

On Day 2 of the camp, mummy dropped by in the afternoon again to check on her. Too bad, Emeryn didn't notice mummy was there. Shortly mummy left and proceeded with her shopping day 2.

On Sun, day 3 was the day the kids are allowed to go home at 12pm. After having breakfast, mummy drove to Youth Park and picked Emeryn. My tough baby finally completed her 3days 2 nites camp. She confessed that she cried uncontrollably on day 2 nite because she misses mummy. Then mummy asked if she would like to join the camp again next year, she quickly answered YES!!! Obviously she enjoyed her first camping experience very much and mummy believes the camp has taught Emeryn to be a tougher kids and to be more independent. Another plus point is, the camp makes her realize how much she needed mummy with her all the time. It certainly has tighten the mother-daughter relation.

We went to Por Por's house for a quick lunch before heading home. Before having her lunch, Por Por helped to extract Emeryn's shaky front tooth. It was her 4th tooth being extracted. At home, mummy insisted Emeryn to take a nap in the afternoon as she looks tanned and tired. She must be going under the hot sun for the past 3 days. She then slept for 4hours before mummy woke her up for dinner. She continued her sleep not long after taking her meal.

Ultimate Foam Party @ Hard Rock Hotel

foam party

X'mas workshop

 @ Straits Green

Dec will be another exciting month, full of activities for lil' cheeky. Emeryn attended daycare on Mon to Thurs. One of the day Ah Ma picked her from daycare and brought her back to Pekaka, giving mummy sometime to go shopping at QBM. Mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka at about 8pm and went home. Mummy bought some legging and heattech clothing for our next year Korea winter trip from QBM.

Mummy was on leave on Fri, clearing some of her annual leave. We started our morning as early as our usual weekday where we went to Nissan car service again to rectify the earlier outstanding exhaust problem. We spent 2hours there before heading to 1st Avenue. Mummy booked an online movie ticket and we watched Frozen at 11.45am. It was a great movie and both mummy and Emeryn enjoyed it a lot. After the movie, we went to H&M for a quick shop before heading for our late lunch at New Lane. After our late lunch, mummy dropped Emeryn at Pekaka as she wanted to stay a nite there.

On Sat morning, mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka before sending her off to GB Maths class. Last Sat was her first Karangan class. Starting Dec, the daycare fee has increased from RM280 to RM340, thus they add in Karangan class into the package. This means Emeryn has to be at the center from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Sat. We bought home some snack before heading out to Hard Rock Hotel. Aunty Su Ching and You Ying came to our house and tagged along with us to Hard Rock. The kids are heading to the foam party. In fact the kids prefer the slides and the pool more than the foam party. There's nothing much interesting inside the foam pool, just the foam and some music and lucky draw towards the end of the function. The kids continued their pool-time after the foam party ended. Our initial plan was to have dinner at Hard Rock Cafe but unfortunately it was fully booked. So we drove to The Ship for our yummy-licious dinner before heading home.

On Sun we spent our morning at home until noon. We wanted to have our lunch at Fatty Loh chicken rice on our way to Straits Quay but unfortunately the waiting time was 30mins. Due to the time constraint, we were forced to have a quick lunch at Mc D, Tesco Sri Tanjung Pinang. We rushed to Straits Quay after the quick bite as mummy has signed Emeryn up for Santa's workshop. The workshop was organized by an Art Center in conjunction with the X'mas month. The kids worked on a tissue box making. While Emeryn was at the workshop, mummy went to Popular Sales again and managed to buy 2 more books for Emeryn. After the workshop, we dropped by at Straits Green where Emeryn enjoyed her playground time. We then head over to Por Por's house for our Sun visit and had our dinner there before going home.

Renee's 5th Birthday Party

her masterpiece

 @ the birthday party

On Fri, mummy took half day leave in the afternoon just to visit the Popular Mega Sale at Straits Quay Convention Center. Aunty Jenny tagged along with her and they both went for lunch at Uncle Albert's Fish & Chips before starting their book hunting. Eventually the sale was not that great compare to the earlier Popular Sale. Mummy only gotten 2 books, some art and craft set and stationery for Emeryn. After the shopping, mummy picked Emeryn from the daycare before heading to her office to collect her photobook which was just delivered after she left her office. Then we dropped aunty Jenny home. We went home for a quick rest where Emeryn took her nap. Mummy woke her up at about 8.15pm when mummy's friend came over and picked us out for dinner.

On Sat, Emeryn attended GB Maths as usual. We had lunch before going home after the class. At about 4.30pm we went to Leo Book Sale located at Island Plaza. It focuses more on pre-loved book and Emeryn asked for 2 books. After the quick book hunting, we hopped over to Popular Sales again. This round mummy spent about RM120 buying more stationery for Emeryn and also few dvds. After shopping, we rushed to Renee's 5th birthday party held at Penang Swimming Club. As expected, it was a grand celebration for a lil' kid. There were few game stations available and clown to entertain the kids while there was a Bingo game for the adults. It was absolutely a wonderful and fun birthday party.

Emeryn spent her Sunday at Pekaka from 12pm till 5pm. Mummy picked her from Pekaka and we went to Por Por's place for our usual Sun visit and dinner. While checking on Emeryn's daycare bag, mummy found a small note written by Emeryn. In a way mummy was very impressed with her notes, despite having some spelling errors.
