The Home-Cooked Dinner

our supposedly 2nd blog book

Emeryn's art work

 our dinner

Mummy bought another online deal again, RM30 for RM60 cash value at Who's Bryan. We went and utilized the voucher on Tues evening along with mummy's friend. We ended top up about RM25 for the total bill. Lately Emeryn has been following the tvb series entitle Triumph in the Skies II along with mummy. With every episode on air, she would ask mummy question after question. She has yet to master her Cantonese listening skills as for now.

Mummy's dream got shattered when she collected her second blog book. They bind the book the other way round. Seeing it, mummy got very upset and disappointed. Mummy's effort has gone to the drain. She spent so many weeks editing and printing it out but it just a mere second, it has all gone. Worst, mummy found out the shop owner trying to cover their mistake by cutting the book into a smaller size and try to put the blame on mummy instead. She got extremely mad at them and went back to the shop on Fri evening and gave them a fiercely scolding. At the end, the shop owner returned RM170 to mummy for the compensation. And now mummy has to reprint it all over again.

Sat, was a replacement school for the previous Raya holiday. Emeryn attended GB Maths at 11.30am and mummy came back to the center at 12.45pm to feed Emeryn lunch, before sending her to school. Mummy went to the market and bought the ingredient for her dinner preparation. Back at home, she busied herself with her cooking. It was her first attempt preparing the papaya + snow fungus soup. She called her aunt at Ipoh to get her secret recipe for the killer's soup. Sherine Ee Ee and her mom came over in the afternoon to copy her tvb series. After all the dishes were done, mummy headed out to PC Depot and bought the ink cartridges. Then mummy picks Emeryn from school. Amazingly Emeryn loves her dinner so much that she thanked mummy for the food. The soup was a huge success.

Mummy attended a Parenting course sponsored by Mead Johnson on Sun morning at Traders Hotel. Before heading to the event, mummy dropped Emeryn at Por Por's place. The event talked about Sex Education for young kids. After the event at about 1.30pm, mummy walked over to 1st Avenue where she picked Emeryn from Por Por and Ah Kong. We went for a quick shopping and mummy bought 2 pairs of short pants and a top. Emeryn refused to shop further and asked to go off. We went to Por Por's house for Emeryn's late lunch before bringing some home-cooked meal back home for our dinner. At home, we both took a 2hours nap before waking up for our dinner.

Her art work.... She said "I'm sure you'll be very proud of me seeing my artwork". Yes, I'm always a proud mommy.

Mummy's Dream Materialised!!!

the blog book

mother-daughter dress

Last week was the school holiday week and Emeryn spent her full day at the day care. Mummy was on time off on Mon morning where she went to LWE to check with the eye specialist. She was having uncomfortable eye for the past 1 week and later was prescribed two different eye drops.

On Wed, Emeryn tagged along with mummy to her monthly gathering. Mummy picked Emeryn after work and we headed to the bakery opposite PCGHS. We then drove to Belissa Row and went to Haagen Daz while waiting for the dinner time, which was at 7pm. Emeryn ordered a scoop of strawberry ice cream on the waffle. After finishing her quick fix, Emeryn walked to the cashier and pay the bill. We then walked next door to Zhou Restaurant for our dinner. It was a restaurant which is famous for its porridge and porridge steamboat. We went home at about 9pm and slept almost immediately due to the tiredness.

The next day, mummy collected her blog journal which she printed it on her own and sent in for the book binding and lamination. Albeit for the poor quality of the lamination, nevertheless mummy was still very happy receiving the book. It was her 7years of effort blogging about her lil' precious. The hard-copy blog book was one of mummy's dream and it's now finally materialized. She always want to print it out and make it into a book. This would be the book which will accompany mummy when she grows up. At least, if mummy has a poor memory when she is probably at the age of 70, she can still refresh her memory by reading the book she once wrote. The second blog book is on the way. It took mummy more than 1 month to import from her blog to a pdf copy, to convert it from pdf file to ms word, to edit and lastly to print it out. At home, Emeryn flipped through the blog book and asked mummy a lot of questions.

On Fri, we went to 1st Avenue after mummy picked Emeryn from the day care. We bought the movie ticket for Smurf 2, before walking over to Prangin Mall to savor our favorite tomyam noodle. We had a quick walk around the mall before heading to the cinema. We both enjoyed the movie very much. After the movie Emeryn requested for an ice-cream.

Emeryn attended GB Maths and Art Class on Sat, as usual. While Emeryn was at the class, mummy went to downtown and bought herself a dress, an exact dress which Toki Ee Ee brought for Emeryn at Phuket. Mummy planned to wear it together with Emeryn during the Bali trip.

Mummy went out on Sun morning to buy breakfast while Emeryn choose to wait at home. We spent our day at home until early evening when we went over to Por Por's place for our dinner. Before going home, we plucked some plant at the compound for Emeryn's Science project. We then drove to Tesco to run some errand before going home.

It was a short week before welcoming Raya holiday. School declared 2days additional holiday on Mon and Tues in view of the Raya week. Thus mummy sent Emeryn to daycare. On Mon granny picked Emeryn from her daycare and brought her back to Pekaka. She had her dinner at Pekaka before mummy picked her after work. Then mummy dropped by at Ivory Plaza where she sent her blog printouts for binging. Later in the  evening, Emeryn attended BM tuition as usual. While on Tues, we went to Fa Guo San at All Season Place after daycare. Earlier mummy bought an online voucher worth RM30 cash value. It was our first time there. Emeryn was attracted to the flower in the pot dessert, so she ordered it while mummy ordered a Milo toast. We were amazed with the dessert's decoration and we thought the flower was edible. Emeryn wasn't too pleased with her order seeing the black soil in the flower pot. She hates black color in general. After our quick fix, we went to Mr DIY and walked for awhile before heading home.

On Wed, mummy brought Emeryn to her office during her lunch break. Earlier Emeryn was at her daycare. Mummy picked her at about 1.15pm and brought her to EQ. Emeryn promised mummy that she would not disturbs mummy while she is at work. Since it was Raya eve, mummy off at 3pm. We drove home at 3.30pm, where mummy's friend waited for us for an afternoon tea. We went to Bt Lanchang market for a quick meal. We then spent the rest of the evening at home before going out for dinner at 9pm. We had the famous Sg Nibong koay teow th'ng and mummy ordered her fav steamed spicy & sour clam. Mummy withdrew some cash and refill the petrol in preparation of our road trip the next morning.

We started our day early on Thurs. Initially we were supposed to start our journey at 7am but were forced to delay it for 30mins since Carmen Ee Ee was late. We picked Ah Kong, Por Por and Sherine Ee Ee before heading to the highway. The traffic was very smooth and it took us 1hour and 45mins to reach aunty Wan's place. We unloaded our luggage while waiting for Carmen Ee Ee and Onn Zai. We then drove out and meet them for dim sum breakfast at Foh San. It was seriously packed and it took us at least 20mins of waiting before securing a seat. After our breakfast, we visited Kek Look Tong Cave Temple followed by a visit to Gunung Lang. We took a boat ride across to the park where we were greeted by the greenery lush and some animal. We then dropped by at AEON Station 18 to grab a movie ticket for a mid nite show and followed by a quick grocery shopping before going back to aunty Wan's place. We had steamboat and bbq chicken for our early dinner. After our meal and had some rest, we went to the Lost World of Tambun for its nite hot spring. It was an enjoyable family time. Before our movie, we went for supper. We separated into 2 groups where Emeryn tagged along with the elderly to watch Chinese movie while mummy and her dear cousins went for a ghost movie, The Conjuring. The movie ends at about 2.30am and we went back to aunty Wan's place for a sleepover.

The next morning we woke up late as all of us were too tired from yesterday's event. We had our brunch at home before heading to Ipoh Old Town for its famous coffee and egg tart. Mummy and Por Por sponsored RM10 each when Carmen Ee Ee pledged for a contribution to buy a remote control car for a boy whom she visited at the orphanage. We then drove to Burps and Giggles for a coffee break. As usual, we took many funny photos with the wall paintings. Before driving back to our hometown, we had our dinner. We had porridge at one of the stall recommended by aunty Wan before biding them farewell. Our journey home took us 3hours as there was a traffic jam in between.

On Sat, Emeryn attended GB Maths and Art Class as usual. Sherine Ee Ee and Ah Mou came over to our place in the afternoon to copy mummy's tvb series. Later in the evening we bought dinner home.

On Sun, we spent our morning at home and mummy went out to buy breakfast. We went over to Por Por's place at about 5pm and had our dinner there before heading to 1st Avenue. We went for a movie, Despicable Me II. Emeryn requested for the Smurf combo where it comes with a tumbler. We headed home right after the movie.

Baju Kurung for her

Science project

new toy, lil' pony

On Thurs after school mummy drove to downtown and we headed to Hinn Lee. Earlier Emeryn has requested for a pair of baju kurung for her school uniform. We grabbed one after trying on headed for dinner. Emeryn looks so sweet in her baju kurung. Our initial plan was to have tandoori chicken but the place was fully reserved for buka puasa dinner. Then Emeryn asked for The Cruise Steakhouse but we have to abort the plan as mummy can't find a car park there. We then drove to New World Park and opted for Mizi Bistro. We ordered pasta in a set dinner. The cordial failed terribly and we lost our appetite to finish our meal.

We drove around Island Glades area on Fri after school to collect some flower, plant and leaves for Emeryn's Science project. We went home to pick up the baju kurung and photobooks. Mummy drove to USM Ivory where she asked for the book wrapping service for all her photobooks. We then went to Por Por's house and passed her the baju kurung for alteration. On our way home we stopped by at Jelutong market and bought dinner home. Upon reaching home, mummy received a phone call from her friend asking for her out for a drink. At first she was a bit hesitate to go out but she gave in later since it was a group outing. Mummy sent Emeryn to Por Por's house again before going for her drink and Emeryn put up a nite there.

On Sat morning, mummy picked Emeryn at 8.30am and we headed to Toh Soon Cafe for our breakfast. It was crowded but we were lucky to secure a seat after 5mins of waiting. After our breakfast, we make a quick stop at the morning market and bought a swimsuit for Emeryn. Later Emeryn attended GB Maths as usual and mummy requested the caretaker to send her to Art Class after she had her lunch. Mummy went to the hair salon and did hair rebonding. Mummy picked Emeryn from Art Class after that and we went home. We spent the rest of our Sat at home.

On Sun afternoon we went to Queensbay and had our lunch at Porridge Time. Emeryn finished a whole clay pot of chicken porridge all by herself whereas mummy ordered a dry noodle. After our meal, we snapped some photo before leaving to Jusco. Mummy won a weekly sales competition and was given a RM50 Jusco cash voucher. Instead of splurging herself with her clothing and accessories, mummy allowed Emeryn to shopped for her toy of her choice using the cash voucher. Emeryn requested for the little pony and a Barbie purse. The cash voucher was insufficient to pay for both the items, thus mummy has to top up on top of the voucher. We then headed to town and picked Por Por on the way. We went to Bayview Hotel for the Loreal sales. We collected the door gifts and bought some hair care before going over to Por Por's place. We had a light dinner before leaving.
