On Thurs, mummy sent Emeryn to Por Por's house after school as she went out for dinner with her friend. Mummy picked Emeryn at about 10.30pm and she fell asleep almost immediately upon getting into the car. Fri was a school holiday, Nuzul Al-Quran. Day care is closed, thus mummy was forced to take leave. We started our day early by heading out to town area. Our first stop was Mugshot Cafe for our breakfast. Mummy ordered a salmon & cheese bagel, a cuppa latte for herself and a mango & macadamia nut yogurt for Emeryn. We drove to Gurney Plaza after our breakfast. From Gurney Plaza, we walked to Gurney Paragon which was opened 3days ago. While walking towards Gurney Paragon, Emeryn's sandal torn. On and off mummy has to carry her around. We have no choice but to make our visit to Gurney Paragon a short one and walked back to Gurney Plaza. We only managed to check out its ground floor and 1st floor. As soon as we reached the car park at Gurney Plaza, Emeryn threw her sandals and wear her slipper. We then headed to Popular. We spent almost an hour there before deciding on a Malay storybook. We went home after that before going over to Por Por's place in the evening. Again mummy went out with her friends for her Fri outing. Mummy picked Emeryn home at 11pm.

Emeryn attended GB Math and Art Class as usual on Sat. Mummy starts feeling unwell at about 1pm, feeling breathless, nauseous and dizziness. After coming home from Art Class, mummy took her nap while Emeryn watched her movie. Mummy went out to buy dinner for Emeryn leaving her home alone. As soon as mummy reached home, she found Emeryn has fallen asleep in her room. Mummy let her sleep and woke her up by 9.45pm and fed her dinner. She turned energetic after that and accompanied mummy watching her new tvb series. We both stay awake till 1am.

On Sun morning, Por Por and Ah Kong dropped by as we won't be going over to their place. Mummy left Emeryn at home alone while she went out to buy lunch. We spent the whole afternoon at home doing revision, crossword, spelling and watching movie. We went to TGIF for our dinner and went home right after our meal.

Hello Kitty - Circus of Life

On Wed, daddy fetched Emeryn to school for her computer class as mummy had her team building session during lunch. Mummy and the rest of the sales team went to Jubilee Old Folks Home and she donated RM100. When mummy fetched Emeryn after school on Thurs, she proudly showed mummy her 100% for Ejaan.

On Sat, Emeryn attended GB Maths class and Art Class as usual. We went home for a quick rest before heading out for dinner with Ah Kong, Por Por, Toki Ee Ee, uncle Lin Chun, Sherine Ee Ee, Ah Pak, Theng Ee Ee and her bf at Ghee Seng Restaurant. Ah Mou was unable to join us as she has yet to recover fully from her cracked lower spine. After the dinner, we hang out at Raggae Mansion. Emeryn kept asking everyone to play pool balls with her but none of us entertain her. Ah Kong was busied with his new smartphone along with Ah Pak, discussing the new apps and so forth. While the rest of us doesn't know how to play. Instead of persuading us to play with her, Emeryn went inside the pub and dance wildly. Toki Ee Ee passed us a set of Circus of Life Hello Kitty which she helped us to buy during her recent trip to Hong Kong. It costs us RM10.50 each. We ended our nite at about 10.45pm.

We spent our Sun morning at home, doing the Princess book and had some reading. Impressively lil' cheeky can read better now. We then had our late lunch at Por Por's place before driving to Mr DIY. Por Por tagged along with us. We went back to Por Por's house while waiting for Toki Ee Ee and uncle Lin Chun to get ready. We then drove to Jalan Tengah for our dinner before sending them off to the airport. On our way to Jalan Tengah, we had a pitt-stop at IJM Promenade for them to snap a photo with the Water Ubah. Emeryn tagged along with Ah Kong's car heading to the airport while mummy went to BJ Complex to get her printer inkjet. They then dropped Emeryn at home after sending them off.

constant reading and story telling really pays off!!! Lil' cheeky can read more now such as this whole sentence "I imagined the sand was so fine that it felt like silk between my toes".

lil' cheeky spent 20mins in the shower. curious of what she did??? shampoo her hair, applying hair mask, wash her body, followed by body scrub and face scrub using the charcoal sponge from Korea and lastly her big biz. she missed out the foot scrub.. lol.

Emeryn fell in love with fried black pomfret after mummy introduced it to her 2-3weeks ago. Emeryn has never like fish as a dish before this. Ever since then, she enjoyed it very much. For once, mummy took the challenge to cook the dish for Emeryn. Mummy bought 2 whole fishes from Tesco during her lunch hour. Cleaning and gutting a fish is a messy job and it was many years back since mummy done it. Back at home, mummy cooked only 2 dishes; long beans with eggs and fried black pomfret. Emeryn's portion was merely fried pomfret marinated with salt, pepper and soy sauce and lastly covering the fish with corn flour to get a nice texture. As for mummy's portion, she finished them with tomatoes, red chilies, lime and garlic to add in some taste. Emeryn gave mummy two thumbs-up for the effort and she finished both the dishes and her rice too. She commented "Mummy, you're so clever. You can cook so well." All this can only be done since the school ends at 5.30pm throughout the puasa week.  Else we would be having late dinner.

On Fri evening, mummy dropped Emeryn at Por Por's place while she went out for her usual dinner and drinks. Later Emeryn called mummy and asked mummy not to fetch her home as she wanted to stay a nite with Por Por and Ah Kong. It came as a surprise for mummy as Emeryn never wanted to stay overnight there. Mummy picked Emeryn the next morning only to found out she had a nice makeup on her eyes. She requested Theng Ee Ee to put a purplish eyeshadow for her. She was happy for being beautiful. We drove to IJM Promenade to witnessed the launching of Water Ubah. Mummy called Ah Kong and Por Por to come over and join us. The sun was shining fiercely when we reached but soon after it started to drizzle.  Slowly the rain poured heavily. Many of us still stood there loyally waiting for the ceremony. Due to the heavy rain, the crew were unable to flip open the cloth covering Water Ubah. It took them at least 15mins to successfully remove the cloth. Everyone of us cheered upon seeing the bird. We left shortly after that. In the evening mummy drove to downtown for her fav hokkien mee.

We spent our Sun at home. Mummy was busy with the blog printing while Emeryn watched her movie. We then headed to Por Por's place for our usual visit and had our dinner there. We came home and did a quick BM revision as Emeryn will be having Ejaan on the following week. Amazingly she can spell almost 90% of the word. What a fantastic job!!!

Starting July, a new transporter will send Emeryn to school daily except for Wed. The uncle can't send Emeryn earlier prior to her computer class. Mummy has no choice but to take the offer for the time being until we find a new transporter. Mon was the first day Emeryn following the new transporter. Being the "always-worry-over-everything", mummy checked Emeryn out before going with the new transporter at the daycare. Mummy even tailed the uncle's car from behind until he dropped Emeryn at school. So far, he offers an excellent service. 

Mummy received Emeryn's online clothing order on Tues. Looking at the lenght of all the dresses, mummy assumed she has to keep it for awhile before Emeryn could wear them. Lil' that she knows, Emeryn actually has grown so big that she can fit in most of the dresses. Mummy sent Emeryn to school on Wed and headed over to the post office after that. To our surprise, Emeryn was presented a Barney give-away (a set of stationaries) for a submission which we submitted on Feb. Mummy remembered we ever bought a Barney magazine after having our CNY reunion lunch. It came as a surprise as it was the first ever entry we submitted. Yay, with this it encourages us to participate in more contest.

Finally it was the parent-teacher day on Fri where the parent meets the teacher for their child's development at school. Daddy agreed to attend and he reached the school during the recess time. He was early and had to wait for mummy as mummy can only leave office at 4.30pm. The teacher commented that Emeryn was very talkative and naughty. She would walk around the class and talks to almost everyone. The new syllabus is under KSSR will no longer have the positioning in the class but will only show an average gred. KSSR is based on 4M (membaca, menulis, mengira dan menaakul). After getting the report card, we went home before mummy sent Emeryn to Pekaka. Emeryn stayed overnight there as mummy was out to Hard Rock celebrating aunty Kelly's birthday.

On Sat, mummy picked Emeryn from Pekaka at 9.15am and we went to Roti Bakar for a quick breakfast. While mummy was having her breakfast, Emeryn tries to finish up her GB Maths homework. She continued with her homework upon reaching home before she attends the class at 11.30am. It was quite fun solving complicated maths question using fingers. After GB Maths, we had our lunch before continuing with Art Class. We went home after the class and started on Emeryn's Science assignment. It was her first ever school assignment and needed to be complete in 10pages. Mummy helped her to find some image through Google Image and insisted Emeryn to type and print on her own. Not too bad, Emeryn could actually handles the notebook well. Such assignment gives exposure to the internet. We completed the assignment in an hour or so and then proceeded to complete her other school homework. At about 8pm, we drove to Island Glades and mummy bought some dvd for Emeryn. We then headed to downtown for mummy's fav hokkien mee. Emeryn was too tired upon reaching home and unable to watch her new movies. 

The next morning as soon as Emeryn woke up, she played her new movie. She was a bit unwell and quickly got over it in no time. We went to Por Por's house at about 4pm and had our meals there before going out for the Penang Heritage Day celebration with Por Por and Ah Kong. There were some new wall mural symbolizing cats and mouse. The theme was the protection of animals, especially strays. At one of the stall, mummy spotted her childhood's goodies which got her so excited about her childhood memories. It was a short walk and we called it off when the skies turned dark. Back at home, mummy bought a flight ticket to Johor on Mac 2014, only to materialize Emeryn's hope of going to Legoland via AirAsia's promotion.

Mummy's fb updates: When I was in Std 2, my class teacher commented I'm mulut murai to my dad during the parent-teacher meet-up. And now as a mother myself, Emeryn's class teacher commented "She is very talkative. Ever since she has recovered from her fractured leg, she walks around and talk to almost everyone in the class."

Emeryn: Mummy, I'm not feeling well.
Me: You need to take med, or not?
Emeryn: Yes, please.

I'm impressed when she said please.

Mon was a replacement holiday for Penang Heritage Day and it was Emeryn's birthday. This year Emeryn is celebrating her 7th birthday. Mummy took leave in conjunction of the memorable day and it was a day to spoil her lil' princess. We started our day early and reached Gurney Plaza at around 9.30am. Our first destination was Winter Warmers where we filled our empty stomachs with hearty breakfast. Mummy ordered her breakfast set which consists of sandwiches and coffee and pasta for Emeryn. The pasta and chips were nicely decorated, which symbolizes the kids meal. Emeryn keep rushing mummy to finish her breakfast as her main objective has yet to fulfilled. 

Our second destination was at Toys R Us, which is also the highlight of the day. Mummy has promised her a gift and she has always wanted a piano. There were 3-4 different piano sets available and we tested all of them. After taking our time trying on it, Emeryn finally decided on a pink set which mummy don't quite agree on. Mummy gave in because she has promised Emeryn that she can choose anything she desires. After buying the gift, we snapped some of photo before leaving Gurney Plaza.

Our third destination was Tesco Tanjung Pinang. Emeryn wanted to go to the indoor theme park. Her wish was mummy's command. We both played some game there before Emeryn requested for ice cream. We hop over to Mc Donalds where mummy ordered Mc Flurry. Before finishing the Mc Flurry, she requested for fried chicken after being tempted by the person eating next to us. Mummy's initial plan was to bring her to Love Bites for lunch as she always yearn to revisit the place. A child can be just so simple minded and carefree. Mc Donalds was our lunch for that day.

After leaving Mc Donalds, Emeryn requested to go to Giant @ Bayan Baru. It offers free unlimited kiddy rides and indoor playground. We spent about 30mins there before leaving. We bought batteries to be installed on the piano set. Upon reaching home, Emeryn can't wait further to unwrap her piano. She tried playing on it immediately after mummy inserted the batteries and set it up for her. She is very much in love with the piano. Mummy took a quick nap after that but had a disturbed nap because Emeryn purposely play the piano and sang loudly just to make sure mummy would not sleep. How cheeky.

Emeryn attended her BM tuition in the evening. After the class, we headed to Secret Recipe @ Egate to buy a slice of cake for Emeryn. She choose durian cheesecake among all. At home, we sang Birthday song and Emeryn made a wish. It was just a simple celebration between the two of us but yet it was another memorable day for us. 7years old, another milestone achieved. Happy Birthday!!!

Karma is absolutely a b*tch. It hits me now. Back then I used to play the recorder next to my sleeping mum, just to wake her up from her nap to play/entertain me. Now Emeryn did exactly the same on me. She sings her lungs out and play the battery operated piano just like those heavy metal bands while I was taking my nap. She then peeped at me and gave me a cunning smile. Arggghhhh, I did that when I was in Std 3 and she's even better, Std 1.

Mon was a school holiday for Emeryn, in view of the schooling day on Sat for their Sports Day. Mummy sent Emeryn to the daycare while she was at work. After work mummy rushed to the daycare and we had a quick dinner at the economy rice stall before head over to Harvey Norman @ QBM. They are having a promo and we bought a Canon printer at only RM139. Emeryn was 20mins late for her BM tuition as we were stuck while trying to pay the car park fee. The same night mummy installed and set up the printer and voila, it's all up.

It was the third Friday mummy skipped her usual dinner & drinks gathering. After Emeryn was asleep, Ah Ma came over and passed a new pair of shoe for Emeryn. As usual, Emeryn attended GB Maths and Art Class on Sat. After her class, Ah Ma picked her and they went to QBM to exchange the shoe as the size was a lil' too big for Emeryn. Ah Ma dropped Emeryn home by 6pm and we then went to 1st Avenue. We had our dinner there @ Sushi King before proceeded with our movie date, Monster University. Due to the long wait before the movie starts, Emeryn started making a fuss and requested to go home. Nevertheless we both sat through the whole movie before heading home.

On Sun, mummy busied herself with the potluck preparation at aunty Jenny's place. Mummy prepared fried chicken and tomyam popcorn chicken. We went over to aunty Jenny's place at 2pm. The kids had fun at the splashing pool before having their meals while the adults catching up. When the event ended, Emeryn refused to go home and wanted to stay back. She was so reluctant to get into mummy's car and got mad when mummy insisted. While driving towards Por Por's place, Emeryn kept on complaining of being tired and refused to go to Por Por's place. We ended up bringing our home cooked dinner home instead of having it at Por Por's place.
