Sat, 24th Nov 07 marked ah chor’s 80th Birthday and we had a big celebration for her... We went to Ah Chor’s place for a simple get-together family & relative lunch (home cooked meals)... The lunch was served at uncle’s factory... Then followed by a family photo and video session by the hired photographer... Emeryn was spotted playing with the big dog... She was not fear of the dog at all... Bravo!!! Mummy took the chance to snap emeryn’s photo together with ah chor in uncle’s office... Emeryn was playing around with other younger relatives...

Emeryn get cranky when it was about time for her feed and sleep... She was crying and fussing around during the photography session... Poor her. :( She took a nap before we headed home... Mummy put her to sleep upon reaching home as we have to attend the big gala dinner later on the day at Han Chiang Sch Hall...

Wo.. ho.. It was a real big dinner consisting of 75tables... It was so grand and ah chor stood beautifully at the entrance greeting the crowd...The dinner was extremely great and happening with the performance... Emeryn was walking and running around in the hall happily... Some relative keep cuddling her and wanted to snap emeryn’s pic...The performer gave the kids some party bag consists of party hat, chocolates and etc. Another photo shoots after the dinner with ah chor and family... We drove granny, grandpa and ee ee home after that...Emeryn fell asleep while mummy was driving...

Beloved great grannies

Great grannies from Daddy

Great grannies from Mummy

How lucky is emeryn for having 4 great grannies??? Isn't that amazing???

In her pajamas

Though the pajamas look big at a glance but emeryn fits it in just nice. She looks like a 3years old lil' girl to me now. She is still deeply in love with her sleep mates, pacifier and her soft toy, doggie until now... Wondering when she will fall out in love with the pacifier, huh??? Mummy bought her a new tortoise soft toy which emeryn insisted of getting it... Earlier mummy proposed to buy her a patrick but she would never take her hands off the tortoise... So, let my lil' sweetheart decides which one she loves..

Weekend Day Out to Esplanade

my simple lunch

@ the playground

along the walk-way at Esplanade

Earlier mummy intended to bring emeryn to Youth Park again for a swim... We are all geared up for it but sadly it started to rain when we are about to leave the house... So bad!!! We have packed everything and emeryn had enough sleep to last her for the whole afternoon. What to do??? No choice, we have to go elsewhere.. Oh yeah, mummy cooked curry chicken and fried egg for a simple lunch... Opss, it doesn’t turn up so delicious and yummy... Mummy would say the curry chicken only carries 60% of its so-called rating.. Emeryn had her chicken porridge with potatoes and a nutrigen drink... Daddy called home and talked for a lil’ while but this round emeryn was too occupied with her Barbie doll and did not speak to daddy...

Mummy dropped by at the bank before heading to Esplanade... God has been so kind to us... The weather still looked moody but the rain stopped.. So, Esplanade, here we are!!! Emeryn loves looking at the sea and even wanted to throw herself into the sea... We brought along her bubble game and blow it while walking... And emeryn was busy catching the bubbles... Emeryn sweats a lot in the playground... Good exercise to kiss those extra fats away.. She loves climbing and playing with other big boys and big girls... Oh, man!!! She was too energetic and running around.. Mummy and kakak have to watch over her 101% to make sure she doesn’t fall... She was enjoying herself so much that she could not feel exhausted...

Emeryn walked over to the toy stall nearby and insist getting the toy... But luckily mummy succeeds bringing back her attention to the playground... Haha. We bought some “keropok lekor” to grandma’s place before leaving Esplanade... Emeryn seems to love them a lot though she had a hard time chewing them.. We went home at about 5pm and emeryn had her 30mins nap before having her shower and dinner... Later at about 8.30pm, we met Aunty Jane at Old Town, e-Gate over a cup of coffee... Emeryn grabbed the pencil on the table and start scribbling on the paper...

As usual, emeryn walked around and mummy brought along the notebook hoping to see daddy online... And God granted mummy’s wish..We saw daddy online in msn and talked for a lil’ while... Emeryn saw daddy on webcam but we barely hear daddy as the surrounding is too noisy...The least we could see daddy on webcam.. Not that bad either... We went home at 10pm as Emeryn was showing some sign of sleepiness leaving aunty Jane unaccompanied in Starbucks...

16months Update

Emeryn's new bootie

Not much changes in emeryn this month... A lil’ taller and smarter of course... Now she would call PaPa without needing us to guide her... Whenever she enters mummy’s room, she’ll never fail to call or murmur “PaPa”... Without hesitation, she would hold daddy’s photo and kiss it... She must be missing her daddy a big time or even yearn to play with daddy, huh??? And of course mummy is delighted to know that emeryn still recall her daddy despite not seeing him in person for 2months... Now that daddy owns a new notebook, he can see us anytime and communicate with us anytime too...

Being in her 16months now, emeryn could replicate more words than before... She could utter:
  • co-co-dial (crocodile)
  • ek-ek (as in dirty)
  • cok-lok-cake (chocolate cake)
  • kok-kok-beh (horse)
  • no-no (as in No or deny)

Whenever grandpa comes home from work, she would call him “ah gong” and trails him around... Whenever leaving grandma’s place, she would wave good-bye on her own and say Ta-Ta and also give a flying-kiss... When she did something unpleasant, mummy will warn her and beat her softly... Mummy will then demand emeryn to apologize by saying sorry to mummy (of course she can’t pronounce it) and kiss mummy in another way to plead guilty... And she did it!!! Guess by now, she knows the after-effect of being a naughty girl... Oh yes, mummy has trimmed emeryn’s fringe as well... It’s way too long and distracts her eye sight... Her hair is long enough to tide a short ponytail by now but it doesn’t look too good on her... Hehe :)

Sometimes she would pretend to knock her leg to the cabinet and said “oh oh” in pretext of telling mummy that she has just hurt herself and need some comfort... And mummy will hold her tiny leg, rub it and kiss it... She would then smile cheerfully... She loves playing pee-a-boo now by covering her face with a cloth and make fun of herself... She loves running around in the living room... She is learning to jump now and she is well trained for potty time... Emeryn also like climbing high and she is not afraid of height... She would never stop climbing no matter how many times she falls... What a spirit, huh? She would climb on her chair and point on the pictured-poster in her room...She knows some of the item when mummy tests her out...

My young lil’ dancer has now become more professional... She has learned to gather more steps and shakes herself freely to the rhythm... She loves riding kok-kok-beh (horse) and poor mummy has to be the kok-kok... Mummy will go on “four-legs” and let Emeryn rides on top of mummy... At times Emeryn will sit up straight while riding and at times she will lie on mummy and hugging mummy tightly... Though it’s aching on mummy’s leg to be the kok-kok but it worth a lot seeing emeryn laughing happily...

Emeryn’s feet have grown bigger in no time. Her old bootie is rather small for her growing feet by now... Thus, mummy bought her a new and a nicer bootie... It’s also pink in color but it has higher length... It’s so nice (no doubt)... She can comprehend orders a lot better now... She knows how to grasp on mummy’s shoulder each time she gets dressed up to avoid her from falling... She has quit sleeping in her cradle at nite and sleeps on a mattress now. It’s such a great migration from cradle to bed... Cheers to a better and longer sleep time!!!

My lil’ girl is getting brainy each day and I’m so blessed honestly... She makes me an authentic proud mummy...

@ Kek Lok Si Temple & Youth Park

Playing with her tools with her pants off :)

The Naked Emeryn

After a tired day

@ Kek Lok Si temple

Emeryn & Ah Chor (Ah Chor's Birthday)

Emeryn cycling in Tesco

It was Ah Chor’s birthday and as usual, we will hold it on Deepavali (8/11) whereby everyone could attend... It was a simple one between close family members and some relatives.. Emeryn happily snapped a photo with ah chor’s after the cake cutting session...

On Sat, mummy brought emeryn to Kek Lok Si Temple (one of Penang’s tourist attraction) and it was raining when we started our journey... Poor thing... It was emeryn first time there... She was a lil’ sleepy when we reached and mummy carried emeryn all the way up to the temple... We walked along those stores and finally we reached the top part of the temple.. Huh!!! Tiring as emeryn now weigh about 10kg plus... Emeryn was busy looking at the tortoise at the man-made lake... We walked around for awhile but were unable to reach to the inner part of the temple as it was raining very heavily... So we decided it was time to go home... We dropped by at granny’s work place at Paya Terubong as granny always wanted to show-off her lil’ grand-daughter to her fellow colleagues... We headed home for lunch later on and emeryn took her afternoon nap after a tiring outing...

Before we went home after dinner at granny’s, we went to Tesco to run some errands... Emeryn was seen busy getting near to other kids and communicate in her own way (as usual la) She was so friendly... Haha :) My lil’ baby.. She also drank a small cup of Milo from the sample counter... Wow, nice and sweet drink... Later she saw an abandoned bicycle out of nowhere (sold by Tesco) and she sat on it... While mummy is pushing the trolley, emeryn was riding the bicycle with kakak’s help... She rode all the way when mummy was walking around.. When we reached the cashier, we got to return the bicycle with no choice... Again emeryn cried... :(

On Sun after lunch, we went to Youth Park. Mummy was amazed by the big crowd there... Lotsa kids were seen having great time in the pool... At first emeryn was allowed to play with her tools by the side way, playing with the water and sands... Bad thing!!! We didn’t bring any extra clothing for emeryn... So mummy helped her to take off her pants, leaving her with her drypers in order not to wet them... Later on, mummy let emeryn drip her legs on the pools but she showed interest playing in the water... Oh, boy! How could mummy resist emeryn from having fun??? So, what the heck? We took off all her clothes and there she was... Naked in the pool... 2 elder girls came near her and play with her... A swim under the hot sun and later we went to granny’s house.. Before reaching granny’s house, we dropped by at a shopping complex and bought daddy some pc games.. Need to send to daddy over in UK as he is very bored over there... Haha... Emeryn took a nap in the car while mummy was driving...

We stayed for a short while at granny’s place and later we went home... Mummy forced emeryn to take a nap again before leaving for a wedding dinner... Emeryn was being such a nice girl at the wedding... She smiled and makes fun with others at the dinner... Mummy’s friends too compliment emeryn for being such a nice lil’ girl... Of course, mummy was flattered...
